Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through

Good Tuesday morning my stamping friends. How has everyone’s week started off? Did anyone have off yesterday for New Year’s? Yesterday was my 1st of the month, I had bills to get out even though there was no mail.

My upline Jaimie is doing a fun challenge for the month of January. Each week she’s giving us a sketch and we can use it as a base to create a card with it. Here’s my card today using her sketch.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 1 creativestampingdesigns.com

I used the Stampin’ Up! Quiet Meadow Cling Stamp Set along with the Tea Boutique 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper for my card today.

This was our sketch to work with.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 2 creativestampingdesigns.com

I started by adhering a small panel of Tea Boutique DSP to a Crumb Cake Mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered a larger panel of Tea Boutique DSP to a Basic White mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the Crumb Cake card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Using my Layering Circles Dies, I cut a circle out of the small, layered panel and the same size circle out of the card front panel.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 3 creativestampingdesigns.com

I adhered the small, layered panel to the card front, lining up the die cut circles, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 4 creativestampingdesigns.com

On a strip of Basic Whtie cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional and Glue Dot. I added a few Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the card front.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 5 creativestampingdesigns.com

On the inside I stamped the flower image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink across a Basic White panel so it would peek through the cut circle. I colored the image using my Crumb Cake, Parakeet Party and Sweet Sorbet Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the small flower from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Crushed Curry Ink around the flower. I stamped the splatter image and sentiment from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Sweet Sorbet mat then to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base.

Stampin' Up! Quiet Meadow Peek Through 6 creativestampingdesigns.com

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the flower image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front. I colored the image the same as for the card. I stamped the small flower image from the Quiet Meadow stamp set in Crushed Curry Ink and the splatter image in Crumb Cake Ink around the flower image.. I adhered a panel of Tea Boutique DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you like the card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

MY CURRENT HOST CODE IS:   222EBX64

Use this host code when placing an order with me. When you order $50 or greater you will receive a free gift from me! If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift. The free gift is your choice of any 1 item valued up to $10.00 from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog or the July – December 2022 Mini Catalog!  Unfortunately, packs of cardstock are no longer an option for a free gift. Shipping has become too expensive to ship and it’s costing me as much to ship as the cardstock costs. For any orders $50 or more I will also send you my monthly class tutorials.  Click HERE or go to my Customer Rewards for more details and to see what this month’s tutorials are.

Please remember to use my current Host Code and make sure that you can see my name on the final checkout page listed as your Demonstrator when you order so that you know that you’re ordering with me, and you’ll get my rewards!

Happy Stamping, Karen

In response to changing policies at Stampin’ Up – I’m adjusting my Ordering Gift policy as well.  I’m having to get a little more tough on the adding of Host codes when you place your order thru my Online Store.

Not to worry – you’re still going to get that $10 ordering gift for orders of $50 (before shipping & tax) or greater.  And the gift is still any 1 SU! product up to that $10 value – which includes some of our fun Host Sets!

But – if you DO NOT use the Host code for your orders of less than $150 (this is the RETAIL total before Shipping & Handling), then you’ll have two options:

  1. You’ll need to call Stampin’ Up! (1-800-Stamp-Up) and ask them to add it for you. They’re very helpful and will get it done quickly!  OR….
  2. If your order was over the $50 threshold but under $150, then…you’ll forfeit that $10 ordering gift and rewards – this is the Bummer Option – and I REALLY don’t want to do this, SO please remember to add my Current Host Code.

Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses Hello

Good Saturday morning my stamping friends. Welcome to the weekend. I hope you have something fun planned this weekend. I’m planning on finishing putting river rocks down in my garden that I worked on last weekend early this morning. I want to get it done before it gets too hot. I put 12 – 50lb bags down last weekend, but I needed another 4 to make it look nice and full. 1 garden finished and 3 or 4 to go. My husband is supposed to work on at least 2 of them for me. I just don’t know when they will get done.

Today’s card I played with a die set that I’ve been anxious to play with along with a new set I just got. Here’s my card for today.

I used the new Stampin’ Up! Garden Birdhouses Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the Picture This Dies for my card today.

I started by cutting a panel of Bloom Where You’re Planted Designer Series Paper using the Picture This Dies. I placed the die cut panel over a panel of Basic White cardstock and lightly drew the circles in pencil on the panel so I knew where to stamp.

I stamped the 6 images from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the Basic White panel. I colored the images in using my Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive and Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers and my Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker. I erased the pencil marks from the panel. I adhered the cut DSP panel to the Basic White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the panel to a Cinnamon Cider card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added a few Polished Pink 2021-2023 In-Color Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the tree branch, birdhouse hanger, birdhouse, bird and sentiments from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images in using my Cinnamon Cider, Old Olive & Polished Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers and my Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker. I adhered the Basic White panel to an Old Olive mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Cinnamon Cider card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the birdhouse and bird from the Garden Birdhouses stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the front of the envelope. I colored the images in using my Cinnamon Cider & Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers and my Mango Melody Stampin’ Write Marker. I adhered a panel of the Bloom Where You’re Planted DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Sailing Home for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends! Welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. I hope everyone is doing well today. If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog. This week we have a Sketch Challenge. Be sure to take a moment to hop around to see everyone’s amazing projects. Here is my card using this weeks sketch.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Bundle and the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Bundle.

I started by adhering a panel of Sea & Sand Designer Series Paper to a Misty Moonlight card base, only around the edges, with Stampin’ Seal. Using my Layering Circles Dies, I cut a circle out of the center of the card front.

On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the lighthouse image from the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Cling Stamp Set in Sahara Sand Ink. I stamped the starfish image from the Stampin’ Up! Friends Are Like Seashells Photopolymer Stamp Set in Cinnamon Cider Ink and colored it in using my Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the images out using my Smooth Sailing Dies and my Seaside Shells Dies. I stamped the seaweed images from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set, Just Jade on Just Jade card stock and Soft Sea Foam on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and cut the images out using my Seaside Shells Dies. I cut the larger seaweed image from a panel of Pear Pizzazz cardstock using my Smooth Sailing Dies. I stamped a couple of the small seashells from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set on scraps of Sand & Sea DSP and cut them out using the Seaside Shells Dies.

I adhered the lighthouse to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue just on the bottom. On a strip of Basic White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink. I adhered the sentiment to a Misty Moonlight mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front across the circle, using Glue Dots. I arranged the seaweed and shells on the side of the circle and adhered them down using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Friends Are Like Seashells stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink on the top of a panel of Sand & Sea DSP and adhered it to the inside of the Misty Moonlight card base using Stampin’ Seal. On the panel of Basic white cardstock I stamped the larger sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set in Misty Moonlight and the smaller sailboat in Basic Gray Inks and cut them out using my Smooth Sailing Dies. I cut another circle from a panel of Basic White cardstock using my Layering Circles Dies. I stamped the cloud image from the Stampin’ Up! Mountain Air Photopolymer Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink, stamping off twice, on the top of the circle. I stamped the bird image from the Sailing Home stamp set in Basic Gray Ink. I adhered the circle to the center of the inside of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the sailboats to the bottom of the circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, making sure to be able to see them through the card front.

To complete my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the lighthouse image from the Sailing Home stamp set in Sahara Sand Ink on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of the Sand & Sea DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Peek-A-Boo Card

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. We’re halfway through the week and heading towards the weekend.

It’s time for another inspiration challenge for The Card Concept. For the next 2 weeks we have a Celebrate Easter challenge. Here is my card that was inspired from the challenge photo.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Beauty Cling Stamp Set . I was inspired by the colors in the photo along with the little bunnies on the bottom for my clean and layered card today.

I hope you will take a moment to visit The Card Concept and join us this week to play along with our challenge #152. How are you inspired by this photo?

I started by adhering a panel of Peony Garden Designer Series Paper to a Just Jade card base using Stampin’ Seal. I placed a Petal Pink card front on the card base and using my Layering Circle Dies I ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I cut another panel of Petal Pink cardstock using my Layering Circle Dies and made a scalloped frame for the card front.

I embossed the card front using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the scalloped frame on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Wish For Everything Cling Stamp Set in Gray Granite Ink and cut it out using my Stitched So Sweetly Dies. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the card front to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I made a bow using the Just Jade Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it the the scalloped frame using Glue Dots. I added a few Just Jade 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the bunny image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Gray Granite Ink making sure it would be seen through the circle on the card front. I stamped the grass image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set around the bunny in Just Jade Ink, some full strength and some stamped off. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Greetings Cling Stamp Set in Gray Granite Ink towards the top of the panel. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Gray Granite mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Just Jade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To complete my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the bunny image from the Nature’s Beauty stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the envelope front. I stamped the grass image around the bunny in Just Jade Ink. I adhered a panel of the Peony Garden DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Peekaboo For Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Is anyone doing anything fun this weekend?  Tomorrow is World Card Making Day and our team has a whole day planned out with videos from 9am-9pm, information below about it.

Today’s card is one that I made on Wednesday afternoon on my Facebook Live video.  If you were able to join me or you watched the replay, thank you very much.  If you’d like to view my video either on Facebook or YouTube, the link is below.   My card is actually a peekaboo card and not a folded one today.  Here’s my card.

I started by lightly adhering a panel of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to a Gray Granite card base using the tiniest amount of Stampin’ Seal.  Using the largest tree die from the Nature’s Roots Dies, I cut the center of the card front.

I removed the DSP from the card base, very carefully not to tear the cardstock.  I stamped the large tree image from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Cling Stamp Set in Gray Granite Ink, stamping off once.   I stamped the tree image through the card front so that it was aligned perfectly..

I adhered the DSP back to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut and embossed the smallest leaf from the Nature’s Roots Dies in Bumblebee, Misty Moonlight and Seaside Spray cardstock.  I adhered the leaves to the card front using Glue Dots for the bottom 2 and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the top leaf.  I added a multi-looped bow I made using Linen Thread and Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Comb Pack, with a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Goodness Photopolymer Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink in the center of the tree.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Many Mates Cling Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink on the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Gray Granite card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, making sure the tree lined up with the die cut card front.  I added a couple Bumblebee 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the tree and the card front.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the largest leaf image from the Rooted In Nature stamp set on the bottom front of the envelope in Misty Moonlight, Bumblebee and Seaside Spray Inks.  I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  The list of supplies are below along with the measurements if you’d like to stamp along while watching the video.  You can watch it on my Facebook page Here.

You can also view the video on my YouTube channel Here.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Touches Sneak Peek for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Hope it was a productive one.  Is anyone doing anything for the weekend?  Sunday is Mother’s Day and I’m hoping to enjoy some crafting time.  It’s suppose to be cold here this weekend.  They are talking about getting snow tonight (which I’m actually not happy about).  I have to make some kind of tents tonight to try to protect my plants.  The last frost we had damaged a couple of them so I want to be prepared.

I’ve have a sneak peek for you today on some items from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  I’ve made a peek-a-boo slider card for you using a new stamp set and the beautiful Just Jade cardstock.  I’m not a green fan, but I absolutely love this color.  Items for my card will be available June 3rd.  If you want to get the items early, you might want to consider joining as a demonstrator.  I’d be happy to help you do that, just drop me a line and I will help you.  We have an awesome team and I’d love to have you join us.   Here’s my card for today.

I started with the card front by stamping the leafy image from the Stampin’ Up! Tasteful Touches Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the Just Jade panel.  I stamped some in full strength ink and some stamped off twice. I set the panel aside.

I then worked on the inside of the card.  I folded the card center and cut a circle using the 4th from largest (2 1/4″) from the Layering Circles Dies and cut through both front and back.  I adhered a panel of the gorgeous new In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to the inside of the center card using Snail.  I opened the card center and lined up the 2 1/4″ circle die from the Layering Circles Dies with the already cut circle and cut through the DSP.  I scored and folded the card back and  adhered the card center using Tear &Tape Adhesive on the 1/4″ scored piece.  It should look like the photo below.

I adhered the card front to the card center using Snail on the front of the card center (hope this makes sense).  It will look like the photo below.

I opened all the panels so that I could cut the circle out of the card front.  I lined up the 2 1/4″ circle die from the Layering Circles Dies, with the circle from the card center and cut through the card front.

I stamped the sentiment from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the top of the card front. I added a couple Rhinestone Basic Jewels on either side of the sentiment.

I cut a scallop circle from a panel of Rococo Rose cardstock using the 3rd largest (2 1/2″) scallop circle from the Layering Circles Dies.  I cut the center out using the same circle (2 1/4″) I used to cut the card panels.  I adhered the scalloped circle frame to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I tied a small bow using the new Just Jade Gingham Ribbon from the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it to the card front using a Glue Dot.

I stamped the beautiful flower image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the image in using my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out using the 3rd largest circle (2 1/2″) from the Layering Circles Dies.  I added some Snail to the back of the image and lined it up behind the center card so that you could see it is centered in the circle.  I closed the card back onto the circle so that it was adhered to the card back.  You see the flower when the card is closed.

When you open the card you see a sentiment.  I stamped the sentiment  from the new Stampin’ Up! Celebrate Sunflowers Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of the circle (which is actually on the small folded panel from the card front).  I stamped the feather image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink around the sentiment, stamping off once.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the leafy image from the Tasteful Touches stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the envelope front.  Some are stamped in full strength and some are stamped off twice.  I adhered a panel of the In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my fun fold and will give it a try.  This is one of those fun folds that is easier to show than explain.  I may considering starting to do Facebook live videos when I do some of these fun folds.  They are much easier to show in person.  Hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day and you all get pampered the way we should for all the work we do.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. It’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month and you know what that means, Blog Hop Day!! If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s awesome projects. If you’ve hopped over from Mary Deatherage’s blog, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. The theme this month is “Merry Christmas or Happy Holidays”. We can interpret this any way that we’d like.

For today’s card I used the Stampin’ Up So Many Stars Bundle.  Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a Whisper White card front to my Merry Merlot card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a star out of the center of both pieces of cardstock using the Stitched Stars Dies.

On a thin strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in Merry Merlot Ink.  I adhered the sentiment strip to a Merry Merlot  mat using Snail.

I adhered the matted sentiment to the bottom of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

For the inside on a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped a large star image and a small star image from the So Many Stars stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink.  I cut both stars out using the Stitched Stars Dies.  I also cut out a medium and small star from Champagne Foil Sheet using the Stitched Stars Dies.  I adhered the medium foil star to the large Whisper White star using a Glue Dot, not lining up the points.  I adhered the small foil and Whisper White stars together using a Glue Dot, not lining up the points.  I adhered the small stars to the medium stars using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink.  I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of a Merry Merlot panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the stars to the center of the Merry Merlot panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the large and small star images from the So Many Stars stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink on the envelope front and envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Hold On To Hope Christening Card

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  Were you able to  hop around yesterday and see all the beautiful projects made by my team members?  Well, we’re at the half way mark through the week already.  Is it me of do the day’s seem to go even faster as we get closer to the holidays.  I feel like I am running out of time already.

For today’s card I was asked to make a Christening card for a baby girl.  Here’s my card.

I started by lining up my Shimmer White card front with my Shimmer White card base.  I cut the oval out using my Layering Ovals Dies through both pieces of cardstock so that everything would be lined up.  I embossed the card front using the Eyelet Lace Embossing Folder and adhered it to the front of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I then cut out the 2 pieces of the cross from a panel of Shimmer White cardstock and adhered them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Hold On To Hope Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Shimmer White cardstock and I cut it out using the Cross of Hope Dies.

I stamped the foliage image from the Hold On To Hope stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink on a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I cut the images out using the Cross of Hope Dies.  I adhered the foliage to the card front using Glue Dots.  I adhered the sentiment banner to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On scraps of Petal Pink and So Saffron cardstock I stamped 3 small butterflies from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink and punched them out using my Butterfly Duet Punch.  I adhered them to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Pearl Basic Jewels to the cross and card front, which I colored in using my Dark Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Marker.

On the inside I stamped the foliage image from the Hold On To Hope stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the Hold On To Hope stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom left of the panel.  I adhered the Petal Pink oval which I cut out using the Layering Ovals Dies, to the center of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the cross to the center of the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the foliage image from the Hold On To Hope stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink on the envelope front and envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Rustic Retreat Waterfront Fun Fold Card

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Are you ready for the weekend?   I hope so because it’s here.

I have another fun fold card for you today that I’ve never done before.  I’ve seen this fold, but never attempted it.  I would love to hear from you if you’d like me to continue with my Fun Fold Fridays. Please leave a comment or you can email me at creativestampingdesigns@gmail.com.

Have you ever had one of those stamp sets that you just always seem to have trouble with?  Mine is the Stampin’ Up Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I don’t know why I have so much trouble making cards with it.  Well I decided that today was the day to conquer that.  This artwork of my card took me 6 tries before I got it the way I liked it, but I refused to give up.  I was determined to make the scene on my card the way I pictured it.  You can be sure this card is going to someone special that saves my cards.  Here’s my card.

I joined in with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #234.  Here is their theme.

I started with a Garden Green panel and scored it at 3/4″ along the 5 1/2″ side.  When you fold the panel you should have a 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ panel.  With the scored edge to the left and the paper lined up on my Grid Paper, I made tiny marks at the 2 3/4″ marks on the 3 sides.

I cut from the sides 2 3/4″ marks to the edge across from the scored edge 2 3/4″ mark as shown below.

Using my Layering Squares Dies I placed the die so that there was equal space from both edges to the die on my Garden Green panel and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set on the top of the Garden Green panel in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the Garden Green panel.

I adhered the cut Garden Green panel to a Thick Very Vanilla card base, on the back of the opening edge, using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I adhered a panel of the woodgrain paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper on the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I closed the Garden Green panel over the card front and placed the smaller square die from the Layering Squares Dies centered inside the die cut making sure it was equal all the way around and used a Post-It not to hold it in place.  Opening the card up, I ran it through my die cutting machine to cut out the smaller square.  I made a tiny slit in the card front so that the corner of the Garden Green panel could slip in to stay closed.

This is where I had fun doing all the artwork that took me multiple tries because of my OCD.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I colored the cabin in using my Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the mountain images from the Waterfront stamp set behind the cabin in Gray Granite and Smoky Slate Inks stamping off once.  I stamped the small trees from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Garden Green Ink in front of the mountains.  I stamped the water image from the Waterfront stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink below the cabin.  I stamped the sand image from the Waterfront stamp set between the water and cabin in Crumb Cake Ink.  I stamped the taller trees from the Waterfront stamp set on either side of the cabin in Shaded Spruce Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthday’s Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink below the artwork.   I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Garden Green mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the tree image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Garden Green Ink on the envelope front also.  I adhered a panel of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my Fun Fold card. I tried my best to explain what I did, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Butterfly Gala Incredible Like You

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How has you week started off?

For today I have, what I call a Peek-A-Boo card.  It’s a lot easier than it looks to make.  I used the Stampin’ Up Butterfly Gala Bundle and the Stampin’ Up Incredible Like You Stamp Set.  Here’s my card.

See how the sentiment peeks through the window.  I joined in with Just Add Ink color challenge #454.  I have to admit I am not a huge fan of yellows, but once I put it on the card, I really liked it  Here are their colors.

I started by using my Big Shot and the 2nd largest square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and placed it near the top of the Pineapple Punch 2018-2020 In-Colors Designer Series Paper and cut it out.

I placed the cut DSP on top of the Blueberry Bushel card base and centered it.  I took the 4th largest scalloped square from the Layering Squares Framelits Dies and ran it through my Big Shot to cut the opening in the card base.  I wrapped a piece of the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon around the DSP and tied a knot.  I adhered the DSP to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I placed a Whisper White panel inside the card base and stamped the sentiment from the Incredible Like You stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink so that it was centered through the window.

On a piece of scrap Whisper White cardstock I stamped one of the butterfly images from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink.  I stamped the top wings of the butterfly in Pineapple Punch Ink.  I then punched the 4 butterflies (2 large and 2 small) out using the Butterfly Duet Punch.  I adhered the 2 larger butterflies to the window opening of the card front so that they hung over inside the window, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I also added a few of the Glitter Enamel Dots to the card front.

I adhered the stamped Whisper White panel to the inside of the Blueberry Bushel card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the 2 smaller butterflies by the sentiment using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the larger butterfly from the Butterfly Gala stamp set in Blueberry Bushel and Pineapple Punch Inks on the envelope front.  I adhered a piece of the Pineapple Punch 2018-2020 In-Colors 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Just a reminder that if you are wanting the Butterfly Gala Bundle, now is the time to get it.  The stamp set and the punch will be available in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, but not with the bundle discount.  Also, the Incredible Like You stamp set will be retiring as of June 3rd, so if it’s something you’ve been wanting, now’s the time.

Stampin’ Up! Retirement List Clarification

It looks like every single stamp set from the 2018-19 Annual Catalog is being retired and that isn’t the case, the carryover sets are being transitioned to Cling Mount.

The stamp sets offered in clear-mount or wood-mount in the 2018–2019 annual catalog that are carrying over into the 2019–2020 annual catalog will be offered in clear-mount and/or wood-mount until existing inventory has been depleted or until June 4, 2019 (whichever comes first).

If the inventory is depleted, you will be notified of the automatic switch to cling when placing an order for that stamp set. This means that you may end up purchasing select cling stamp sets (in carryover artwork) before they can be ordered from the catalog!  All carryover rubber stamp sets will be available in cling medium only (with the exception of background stamps in North America) beginning June 4, 2019.

Here is the list of stamp sets that WILL be in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  The stamp sets on this list will not be retiring, they will simply be transitioned to Cling Mount moving forward:

  • Accented Blooms
  • Animal Outing
  • Artisan Textures
  • Barn Door
  • Beautiful Day
  • Beautiful You
  • Bee Thankful
