Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Curvy Christmas for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday. How was everyone’s week? If you’re in the path of our latest hurricane, Zeta, I hope you are all safe with little or no damage. We’re getting the remnants of the storm here, lots of rain and some wind and tonight it’s suppose to drop to the 20’s. It might be time for me to give in and put the heat on. The weekend is upon us again and It’s Halloween, luckily it’s suppose to be nice weather for the trick or treaters. Does anyone have any plans? Does anyone dress up for Halloween? Once again I’ll be at work both days. The last day of the month and the first of the month I work no matter the day of the week.

For today’s fun fold I didn’t do this one on my Facebook live. This one is so Quick and Easy I would have been able to get 3 or 4 of them done on a video. Here’s my card for today.

I pulled out an older set from the Annual catalog for this card, the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set. I almost passed this one up if it wasn’t for my niece looking at the catalog one day and asking if I had it.. It’s really a great masculine set.

I folded and scored a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock at 4 1/4″ & 5 1/2″. I adhered the inner fold of the card together using Stampin’ Seal. This leaves the actual card front size to be 4 1/4″ X 4 1/4″

I adhered a panel of Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Paper to the left side of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I wrapped a piece of the Misty Moonlight/Silver Bakers Twine from the Flowers for Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack, around the end twice and tied a bow.

I embossed a panel of Misty Moonlight card stock using my Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink. I cut the image out using the oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I curved the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Curvy Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set (available November 3rd) and stamped it along the curve of the oval in Crumb Cake Ink. I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in the center of a Whisper White panel, stamping off twice, in Crumb Cake Ink. I stamped the sentiment from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink over the cabin. I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Misty Moonlight card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope. I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Crumb Cake in on the envelope front.

I adhered a panel of the Snowflake Splendor DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. What did you think? Quick and Easy? You can easily make a stack of these in no time. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Winter Woods Birthday

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Did anyone do anything exciting or fun?  I was at work, but had a great time.  I love working during the holiday season, watching everyone rush around trying to get all their gifts.  In the mean time, I still have shopping to get done myself, UGH!!

I have a masculine birthday card for you today.  Here’s my card.

My design was inspired by Sunday Stamps Challenge #220.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Soft Suede card front using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

I stamped the tree image from the Stampin’ Up! Winter Woods Cling Stamp Set in Crumb Cake Ink on a Very Vanilla panel.  I cut 2 of the trees out of Soft Suede cardstock  using the In The Woods Dies.  I adhered the trees on either side of the Very Vanilla panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on the top of the artwork.

I adhered the artwork to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I wrapped a piece of 5/8″ Burlap Ribbon around the card front and tied a knot.  I added a Glue Dot under the knot to keep it in place.  I adhered the card front to a Soft Suede card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Shaded Spruce Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On  the inside I stamped the cottage image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink, stamping off once, to the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the trees on either side of the cottage in Crumb Cake Ink, stamping off once.  I stamped the sentiment from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink over the cottage image.  I stamped the pine boughs image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the top of the Very Vanilla panel.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Shaded Spruce mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the cottage image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set on the envelope front in Crumb Cake Ink.  I stamped the trees on either side of the cottage in Crumb Cake Ink.  I stamped the pine boughs image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink along each side of the envelope front.  I stamped the tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers. Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by. This week we had a Color Challenge and the colors screamed rustic to me.  Be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. Here’s my card using our colors.

Here are our colors for this week.

My design was inspired by the Paper Craft Cres Challenge #358.  Here is their sketch.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on the top of the Crumb Cake card front.  I embossed the  Crumb Cake card front using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the card front to a Cherry Cobbler card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped a small panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Stampin’ Up Buffalo Check Cling Background Stamp in Early Espresso Ink.  I cut the panel out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on a small Crumb Cake panel.  I cut the image out using a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die.  I adhered the artwork to the Buffalo Check stamped Cherry Cobbler panel using Snail.  I stamped the bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut the image out using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the bear to the corner of the artwork using a Glue Dot.

I adhered a strip of Early Espresso cardstock to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a piece of the 3/8″ Magnolia Lane Linen Ribbon with White Edge on the Early Espresso strip using Snail.  I adhered the matted artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, making sure to add a couple Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the bear to secure it.

On the inside I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel stamping off 3 times.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Cling Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink over the cabin image.  I stamped the bear and deer image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom of the panel stamping off once.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to an Early Espresso mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Cherry Cobbler card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the tree image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink along the bottom front of the envelope.  I stamped the cabin and bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, take a minute to hop through all our projects today. Stampin’ Up Rustic Retreat Waterfront Fun Fold Card

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Are you ready for the weekend?   I hope so because it’s here.

I have another fun fold card for you today that I’ve never done before.  I’ve seen this fold, but never attempted it.  I would love to hear from you if you’d like me to continue with my Fun Fold Fridays. Please leave a comment or you can email me at creativestampingdesigns@gmail.com.

Have you ever had one of those stamp sets that you just always seem to have trouble with?  Mine is the Stampin’ Up Waterfront Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I don’t know why I have so much trouble making cards with it.  Well I decided that today was the day to conquer that.  This artwork of my card took me 6 tries before I got it the way I liked it, but I refused to give up.  I was determined to make the scene on my card the way I pictured it.  You can be sure this card is going to someone special that saves my cards.  Here’s my card.

I joined in with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #234.  Here is their theme.

I started with a Garden Green panel and scored it at 3/4″ along the 5 1/2″ side.  When you fold the panel you should have a 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″ panel.  With the scored edge to the left and the paper lined up on my Grid Paper, I made tiny marks at the 2 3/4″ marks on the 3 sides.

I cut from the sides 2 3/4″ marks to the edge across from the scored edge 2 3/4″ mark as shown below.

Using my Layering Squares Dies I placed the die so that there was equal space from both edges to the die on my Garden Green panel and ran it through my die cutting machine.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set on the top of the Garden Green panel in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the Garden Green panel.

I adhered the cut Garden Green panel to a Thick Very Vanilla card base, on the back of the opening edge, using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

I adhered a panel of the woodgrain paper from the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper on the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I closed the Garden Green panel over the card front and placed the smaller square die from the Layering Squares Dies centered inside the die cut making sure it was equal all the way around and used a Post-It not to hold it in place.  Opening the card up, I ran it through my die cutting machine to cut out the smaller square.  I made a tiny slit in the card front so that the corner of the Garden Green panel could slip in to stay closed.

This is where I had fun doing all the artwork that took me multiple tries because of my OCD.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I colored the cabin in using my Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Old Olive and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the mountain images from the Waterfront stamp set behind the cabin in Gray Granite and Smoky Slate Inks stamping off once.  I stamped the small trees from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Garden Green Ink in front of the mountains.  I stamped the water image from the Waterfront stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink below the cabin.  I stamped the sand image from the Waterfront stamp set between the water and cabin in Crumb Cake Ink.  I stamped the taller trees from the Waterfront stamp set on either side of the cabin in Shaded Spruce Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthday’s Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink below the artwork.   I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Garden Green mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the tree image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Garden Green Ink on the envelope front also.  I adhered a panel of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my Fun Fold card. I tried my best to explain what I did, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Happy Stamping!!

Halloween is nearly here, which means that Paper Pumpkin has been busy, busy, busy. We thought you might like “a hand” with their frightful festivities, so we designed September’s kit, Bone Appétit, with them in mind.

This kit includes 20 food-safe treat boxes, a unique and exclusive Halloween stamp set, and a spooky, special-edition box. September’s kit also gives new meaning to the word “handmade.” (Cue the scary laughter!)
