Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings Josephs Coat

Good Sunday morning my stamping friends. I hope everyone’s weekend is going well. I hope you will all take a moment of silence today for all the lives that were lost over 20 years ago. I remember the day like it was yesterday with all our phone going dead and just glued to the tv watching. My children were both in school in lock down until school was over and I could pick them up. I was so scared of what was happening and what could happen. It was a very sad and scary time.

Today’s card is one that we made at our Stamp Camp Class this past Tuesday night. I thought I’d have fun with a couple techniques with the ladies. This one I saw one of my team members make, Mary Deatherage, and I thought it would be perfect with our fall theme. It’s called the Josephs Coat Technique. You can see Mary’s video making this card Here. Here is my card for today.

Today’s card once again uses the Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings Cling Stamp Set. This is such a perfect set for fall cards and all kinds of techniques.

Stampin' Up! Soft Seedlings Josephs Coat 2 creativestampingdesigns.com

I started with a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock and using my Blending Brushes I added Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie Inks completely covering the panel. I set the panel to the side to dry completely. You can also use your Heat Tool on the #1 setting to dry the panel. You want to make sure the ink is completely dry before stamping or the embossing powder will stick to the ink and this technique will not work.

Once the panel was completely dry, I stamped the large leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Versamark Ink randomly around the panel. I sprinkled it with my Clear Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. Once the panel cooled, I used my Blending Brush again and brushed Early Espresso Ink all over the panel completely covering it again. Once I had the amount of ink I wanted, I took a paper towel and gently rubbed all over the panel wiping the ink off the embossed areas and letting the colors shine through. I adhered the panel to an Early Espresso mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to a Very Vanilla Thick card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small panel of Very Vanilla cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Cajun Craze Ink. I cut the sentiment out using my Stylish Shapes Dies. I adhered a piece of Old Olive ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack to the card front. I adhered the sentiment over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a Textural Element to the card front just under the sentiment using a Glue Dot. I added a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive Backed Dots to the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Cajun Craze Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock. I used my Blending Brushes and added color to the large leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set and stamped the leaves on the panel. I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to an Early Espresso mat and then to the inside of the Very Vanilla Thick card base

To finish my card, I decorated a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. I stamped the large leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set on the envelope front and flap in Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Inks.

Some things are great on their own but become epic when they are paired with something else: cereal and milk, toast and butter, Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. We may be biased, but our favorite combo is our stamp sets and dies—and that’s what the Perfect Partners promotion is all about!

We created six new dies that coordinate with stamp sets in the 2022–2023 Annual Catalog and the July–December 2022 Mini Catalog. These coordinating dies will only be available during this promotion and will not be offered in any catalog.

These stamp sets and dies are available separately or as a bundle. By buying the bundle, you and your customers will save 10% off the retail price.

Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Thanks Sneak Peek

Good Monday morning my stamping friends. How was everyone’s weekend? Are your decorations up yet? Gifts bought and wrapped? Cards mailed? The holidays are going to be here in a blink of an eye. I’m not ready. I planned on getting my cards done this weekend, that didn’t happen. At least they are made though, so I just have to write my notes and address them.

My card for today was designed by one of my team members Sue Prather. We had our team meeting yesterday and we had 3 presenters with some beautiful cards. I’ll have another to show you later this week. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Bundle for my card along with many colors.

I started by adhering a panel of the Oh So Ombre Designer Series Paper (this is a Sale-A-Bration item that will be available January 5th 2021) to a panel of Whisper White cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I then adhered it to a Blackberry Bliss card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On panels of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the large succulent image and the 2 single images from the Stampin’ Up! Simply Succulents Cling Stamp Set in Versamark Ink. I immediately sprinkled it with my Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. Using the awesome new Blending Brushes coming in the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, I added color. I started with Soft Seafoam, Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz, then added a little Highland Heather and Rich Razzleberry. Once I had the color the way I wanted, I cut all the images out using my Potted Succulents Dies. I stamped the flowerpot image from the Simply Succulents stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Cajun Craze cardstock and cut the image out using my Potted Succulents Dies. I adhered the flowerpot to the bottom of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the largest succulent to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the smaller ones on the top using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a small bow using the new Blackberry Bliss 3/8″ Striped Ribbon (coming January 5, 2021) and adhered it to the flowerpot using a Glue Dot.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Succulents stamp set in Soft Suede Ink and cut it out using my Potted Succulents Dies. I adhered the sentiment to the top of the panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Simply Succulents stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel. I stamped the succulent images from the Simply Succulents stamp set in Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz and Soft Seafoam Inks on the top and bottom corners of the panel. I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Soft Seafoam mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Blackberry Bliss card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope. I stamped the succulent images from the Simply Succulents stamp set in Mint Macaron and Pear Pizzazz Inks on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of the Oh So Ombre DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today, I hope you liked my card. All products for my card will be available January 5, 2021 from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog and the DSP will be a free item from the Sale-A-Bration catalog. This is really a beautiful set that you’re going to want. If you are a customer of mine you will be getting you catalogs shortly, I just received them Friday. If you need a demonstrator and would like a catalog, send me an email and I will be sure to get one out to you. Happy Stamping!!
