Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you are starting with me, thank you. I hope you will stop by everyone’s blog to see what they have created this week. If you are hopping over from Akiko’s blog, thank you for stopping by. This week we have Theme Challenge which worked out perfectly for me since I needed a graduation card. Here is my card using this week’s theme.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 1 creativestampingdesigns.com

I used the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Bundle along with the Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set and Bright & Beautiful 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper for my card today.

Here is out theme for this week.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 2 creativestampingdesigns.com

I started by adhering 2 panels of Bright & Beautiful DSP to 2 Berry Burst mats. On 2 other panels of Berry Burst I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versamark Ink. I sprinkled the sentiments with White Embossing Powder and set them using my Heat Tool. I stamped the streamer image from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Berry Burst Ink on the longer sentiment panel.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 3 creativestampingdesigns.com

I adhered the 2 DSP layered panels and the rectangle sentiment panel to a Lemon Lolly mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the square sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the layered panel to a Lemon Lime Twist card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 4 creativestampingdesigns.com

Using the Beautiful Balloons Dies, I cut the streamer from a panel of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock. I adhered the streamer to the square sentiment as a tassel for a cap. I adhered an Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewel to the tassel. I tied a small bow using the 1/8″ Lemon Lime Twist Ribbon from the Ribbon Duo Combo Pack and adhered it to the card front. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trios to the card front.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 5 creativestampingdesigns.com

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Berry Burst Ink on a panel of Basic White. I used the Beautiful Balloons Dies to cut out the stars and confetti along each side of the sentiment. I stamped the streamer image from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist Ink on either side of the sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Lemon Lolly mat then to the inside of the Lemon Lime Twist card base.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Balloons Graduation 6 creativestampingdesigns.com

To complete my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the streamer image from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist and Lemon Lolly Ink along the bottom front of the envelope. I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Berry Burst Ink. I adhered a panel of the Bright & Beautiful DSP to the envelope flap.

If your order is over $150, please do not use this code, but you’ll still get the free gift. The free gift is your choice of any 1 item valued up to $10.00 from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog or the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog!  Unfortunately, packs of cardstock are no longer an option for a free gift. Shipping has become too expensive to ship and it’s costing me as much to ship as the cardstock costs. For any orders $50 or more I will also send you my monthly class tutorials.  Click HERE or go to my Customer Rewards for more details and to see what this month’s tutorials are.

In response to changing policies at Stampin’ Up – I’m adjusting my Ordering Gift policy as well.  I’m having to get a little more tough on the adding of Host codes when you place your order thru my Online Store.

Not to worry – you’re still going to get that $10 ordering gift for orders of $50 (before shipping & tax) or greater.  And the gift is still any 1 SU! product up to that $10 value – which includes some of our fun Host Sets!

But – if you DO NOT use the Host code for your orders of less than $150 (this is the RETAIL total before Shipping & Handling), then you’ll have two options:

  1. You’ll need to call Stampin’ Up! (1-800-Stamp-Up) and ask them to add it for you. They’re very helpful and will get it done quickly!  OR….
  2. If your order was over the $50 threshold but under $150, then…you’ll forfeit that $10 ordering gift and rewards – this is the Bummer Option – and I REALLY don’t want to do this, SO please remember to add my Current Host Code.

Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Graduation for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  I’m heading into work again.  I don’t usually work on Friday’s, but one of my full time cashiers hurt her back and they needed someone to cover.  We’re upon the weekend already, does anyone have plans?  I’m working tomorrow, Saturday, but I have Sunday off, YAY!!  We had a great day at the Zoo yesterday.  It was cloudy part of the day, so that seemed to keep it a little cooler walking around.  Unfortunately, not all the exhibits were open due to Covid, but we still had a great time.

For today’s card I have a gate card for you with a little extra.  My son’s girlfriend asked me to make here a graduation card for her cousin and the theme is pineapples.  I thought that was cute and I knew just the set to get it from. Here’s my card for today.

I joined in with Inspire. Create Challenge #073.  They have a Theme Challenge.

My colors were inspired by Sunday Stamps Challenge #235.  Here are their colors.

I started by scoring and folding a Granny Apple Green card base at 2 1/8″ and 6 3/8″.

I adhered 2 panels of Playing With Patterns Designer Series Paper to 2 Pacific Point mats using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the 2 matted panels to the 2 Granny Apple Green gate fronts using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the pineapple image from the Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Photopolymer Stamp Set, the bottom of Daffodil Delight and the tops in Granny Apple Green.  I fussy cut the pineapples out using my Paper Snips.  On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the tops of the pineapple from the Cute Fruit stamp set in Granny Apple Green.  I adhered the Whisper White strip to a Pacific Point mat using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the matted panel to the left card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue just on the left side of the strip.  I adhered the 2 pineapples to the strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On another strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pacific Point mat using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the matted panel to the right card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, only on the right side of the strip.  I added a few Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the card front

On the inside I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World Cling Stamp Set in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the pineapple image from the Cute Fruit stamp set on the bottom of the panel, the bottom portion in Daffodil Delight and the top in Granny Apple Green.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pacific Point mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Granny Apple Green card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the pineapple image from the Cute Fruit stamp set on the envelope front, the bottom in Daffodil Delight and the top in Granny Apple Green.  I adhered a panel of Playing With Patterns DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Hip Hip Hooray

Good Saturday morning my stamping friends.  How has everyone’s weekend started off?  Does anyone have plans for Father’s Day tomorrow?  My daughter and I are making my husband a big brunch. My niece, her husband and boys are coming over to join us.  We started doing this a couple years ago and he loves it.

If any of you saw my post on Thursday for our blog hop, you saw that I had an oops.  I used the wrong color.  I had made another card to use, but I was told it was ok the colors were close enough.  Here’s the other card I made using the right colors.  My older little nephew graduated from his elementary school and moved to the intermediate school, so I wanted to make him a card too.  He’s 9, so it’s a little harder since he’s too old for cutesy things, but not old enough for grown up things yet.

I played along with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #276.  Here is their theme.

I started by cutting a panel of Just Jade and Pretty Peacock cardstock using the Best Plaid Builder Dies.  I adhered the Pretty Peacock panel first onto a Pear Pizzazz card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the Just Jade cut panel on top of the Pretty Peacock panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I wrapped a piece of the Just Jade 1/4″ Ribbon around the panel tied a knot and adhered the card front to a Pear Pizzazz card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock using the 2nd largest die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I stamped the 2 sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Best Year Cling Stamp Set in Just Jade Ink  on the cut panel.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Just Jade 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the sentiment.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! So Sentimental Cling Stamp Set in Just Jade Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  When you cut the cardstock using the Best Plaid Builder Dies you are left with a lot of squares.  I decorated the inside of the card using these squares adhering them down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pretty Peacock mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Pear Pizzazz card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I adhered a strip of the Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to the envelope front and a panel to the envelope flap.

Thank  you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You Graduation Cards for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends.  How was everyone’s short week?  We’re upon a weekend again and things are starting to open up slowly here.  The Jersey shores opened last weekend and I believe hair salons are opening up next week.  Time will tell.  I have to work both days this weekend, Sunday is the last of the month.  Where did May go???  What is everyone else doing this weekend?

For those of you who know me you know that I was a Girl Scout leader for 13 years.  Last week a couple of my girls that I was very close with graduated from college.  One with a nursing degree and one with a teaching degree.  I watched them grow from Kindergarten on up.  Also my daughter’s best friend graduated with honors with a Bachelors degree in behavioral science and a minor in history.  She is like a 2nd daughter to me.  I am so proud of all these girls, so of course I had to make them all graduation cards.  Unfortunately, some of the items I used have been sold out since before I could get my cards posted.  Most of you know I don’t do any 2 cards alike, but since they are all for graduation they are all similar.  I also looked up each of the girls school colors and coordinated the cards accordingly, one was navy & white, one was blue & green and one was blue & red.  Here are my cards for today.

I started by adhering panels of Regals and Neutrals Designer Series Paper to the card bases, which are 4 1/4″ X 5 1/2″, using Snail.  The card bases are Garden Green, Night of Navy and Real Red.  I adhered the small cards to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  The small cards are Garden Green, Night of Navy and Real Red.

On Whisper White panels I stamped the dancing woman image from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful You Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the images in using my Dark Night of Navy (for the top one), Light Night of Navy, Dark Granny Apple Green, Dark Real Red and Ivory Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the top artwork to a Night of Navy mat using Snail and the bottom 2 artwork to Blueberry Bushel mats using Snail.  I adhered the matted artwork to the front of the small cards using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  To make the caps, I cut 1 Night of Navy and 2 Blueberry Bushel pieces of card stock to  1/2″ X 1/2″ and adhered them to the womens heads using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  To make the tassels I took a piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine and folded it in half and tied a knot.  I then frayed the ends to look like a tassel and adhered them to the caps using Glue Dots.  I trimmed them so they weren’t too long.  For the top one, I cut the sentiment from Well Written Dies out of a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and adhered it under the artwork using my Fine Tip Glue Pen.  I added a few Night of Navy Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to the artwork.  For the bottom 2, I stamped the sentiments from Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Moments Cling Stamp Set and Beautiful You stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut one of the sentiments out using the Timeless Label Punch and the other out using my Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I adhered the sentiments to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added some Granny Apple Green Glitter Enamel Dots to the Garden Green card and Red Rhinestones to the Real Red card.

On the inside of all the cards I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Strong & Beautiful Cling Stamp Set in Night of Navy or Blueberry Bushel Inks.  On the Night of Navy and Garden Green cards I stamped the sentiment from Peaceful Moments stamp set below the 1st sentiment in either Night of Navy or Blueberry Bushel Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panels to Night of Navy (for the top card) and Blueberry Bushel (for the bottom 2 cards) mats using Snail and then to the inside of the small cards using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my cards I decorated 3 Medium Whisper White Envelopes.  I stamped the dancing woman image from the Beautiful You stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on all 3 envelopes.  I colored the images in using my Dark Granny Apple Green, Ivory, Night of Navy and Dark Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the sentiment from the Peaceful Moments stamp set on the envelope fronts in Garden Green, Night of Navy and Real Red Inks.

I adhered panel of Neutrals of Regals 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flaps.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my cards and will give it a try.  The measurements for the cards are below, they are all identical I just placed the small card fronts in a different spot on each one.  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Beautiful You, Strong and Beautiful Graduation Card

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is everyone doing today?

For today I used one of my all time favorite stamp sets for a graduation card for you.  My niece has graduated earning her Masters Degree and I wanted to send her a special card letting her know how proud I am of her.  I used a few items that will be retiring as of June 3rd for my card.  Take a look.

I’ve played along with a couple challenges today.  First off is the CAS(E) This Sketch challenge #322.  Here is their sketch.

Next I played along with the Paper Craft Crew challenge #337.  Here is their challenge.

I joined in with the Stampin’ Up Only Challenges #223.  Their challenge is ‘Anything Spring’. This includes spring holidays, birthdays, graduations, babies!

I also joined in with the CAS on Friday Challenge #158.  Their challenge is ‘Use Polkadots’.

I started by adhering a panel of the soon to retire Brights 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Basic Black card bae using Snail.  I stamped the dancing woman image from the Stampin’ Up Beautiful You Clear Stamp Set on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored her in using my Light Basic Black, Ivory and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the artwork to a panel of Whisper White cardstock to give it a little color on color edge using Snail.  I then adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a tiny square to look like a graduation cap out of Basic Black cardstock.  I took a small piece of Whisper White Bakers Twine and pulled it apart to get very thin strands to make a tassel on the cap, tied it in a knot and adhered it using a Glue Dot. I adhered a Metallic Pearl in the center of the tassel.  I adhered the graduation cap to the top of the woman’s head using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Using my Big Shot and the soon to retire Celebrate You Thinlits, I cut out the celebrate in Basic Black and Poppy Parade cardstocks.  I adhered the Basic Black on top or the Poppy Parade, so that it had the shadow look, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the sentiment to the top of the artwork using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and thin strips of Stampin’ Dimensionals on the 2 ends.

On the inside I stamped the flowers from the new Stampin’ Up A Little Lace Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in 3 of the corners of a Whisper White panel.  I colored them in using my Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers and added a little Rhinestone Basic Jewel in each flower.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Strong & Beautiful Cling Stamp Set in the center of the Whisper White panel in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Using my Big Shot I cut out the amazing and you from the Celebrate You Thinlits in Poppy Parade cardstock using a piece of the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet behind it.  The Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets are great when you have very thin images to be glued down and don’t want to take a chance of making a mess with other adhesives.  I adhered the 2 sentiments above the stamped sentiment on the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the flowers from the A Little Lace stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored them in using my Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a piece of the Brights 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.  I had to use a different pattern of DSP on the flap.  For the 1st time in all the years I’ve been making cards, I ran out of a DSP.  This has never happen to me.  The DSP usually retires before I have a chance to use it up.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  The Stampin’ Up Beautiful You Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set will be carrying over into the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, but the Celebrate You Thinlits and the Brights 6 X 6 DSP will be retiring as of June 3rd.  The Stampin’ Up A Little Lace Stamp Set will be available June 4th for purchase.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Retirement List Clarification

It looks like every single stamp set from the 2018-19 Annual Catalog is being retired and that isn’t the case, the carryover sets are being transitioned to Cling Mount.

The stamp sets offered in clear-mount or wood-mount in the 2018–2019 annual catalog that are carrying over into the 2019–2020 annual catalog will be offered in clear-mount and/or wood-mount until existing inventory has been depleted or until June 4, 2019 (whichever comes first).

If the inventory is depleted, you will be notified of the automatic switch to cling when placing an order for that stamp set. This means that you may end up purchasing select cling stamp sets (in carryover artwork) before they can be ordered from the catalog!  All carryover rubber stamp sets will be available in cling medium only (with the exception of background stamps in North America) beginning June 4, 2019.

You can download copies of the full retiring lists in PDF Form here:

  • Click here to get a copy of the full retiring list from the Occasions Catalog.
