Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes Dip-Dying Technique

Good Sunday morning stamping friends. I hope you are having a wonderful weekend. It’s been a warm one here in NJ, but temps are supposed to drop to the 70’s tomorrow. I’m loving the heat after being in Alaska last week.

I have a different technique for you today and I’m really loving it. Every once in a while, Stampin’ Up! sends demonstrators ideas to use, I gave last week’s a try. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Words & Wishes Bundle, Regals Painted Patterns Designer Series Paper and Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper for my card today.

Tear the bottom of the panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. add about 32oz of water to a bowl and add 30-40 drops of Blueberry Bushel Ink and stir. Dip paper in the water and hold it in for 30-60 seconds. Let dry. Add another 10-15 drops of Blueberry Bushel Ink and stir. Dip paper in the colored water again not as far as the 1st time and hold if for 30-60 seconds. Let dry. Add another 10-15 drops of Blueberry Bushel Ink and stir. Dip paper in colored water only a little and hold it for 30-60 seconds. Let dry.

Die cut the sentiment from the center of the panel of Regals Painted Patterns DSP using the Words & Wishes Dies. Adhere the panel of DSP to a Blueberry Bushel card base. Adhere the sentiment to the dry panel of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. Wrap a piece of Balmy Blue 1/4″ Gingham Ribbon around the bottom of the panel and tie a bow.

Adhere the panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. On a panel of Basic White, stamp the cake image from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Secret Sea Ink. Color the image using Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends Markers. Cut the image out using the Words & Wishes Dies. Adhere the cake to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the cake.

Stamp the sentiments from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Secret Sea Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the cake image from the Words & Wishes stamp set on the bottom of the panel in Secret Sea Ink. Color the image with Balmy Blue & Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends Markers. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Balmy Blue mat then to the inside of the Blueberry Bushel card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope to finish your card. Stamp the cake image from the Words & Wishes stamp set in Secret Sea Ink on the envelope front. color the image with Balmy Blue and Blueberry Bushel Stampin’ Blends Markers. Adhere a panel of Regals Painted Patterns DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Sunset Coast for The Card Concepts

Good Wednesday morning stamping friends. I hope you are all having a wonderful week. We’re halfway through and on our way to the weekend. It’s starting to warm up a little bit here. It’s still pretty cool for this time of the year. I’m usually planting my flowers and vegetables by now, but the nights are still a little too cool.

Today’s card is for the inspiration challenge from The Card Concepts. The inspiration photo #227 is Seaside Adventures. I made a Fun Fold Shadow Box card for you. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sunset Coast Bundle and the Scenic Coast 6 x 6 Specialty Designer Series Paper for my Fun Fold Shadow Box card today. I was inspired by the overall theme along with the sailboat in the photo for my Clean & Layered Card.

Wrap a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine around the scored end 2 times. Thread the baker’s twine through a Loose Anchor Trinket and tie a knot. Adhere the scored end to the back of the card base.

Adhere a pane of Scenic Coast DSP to the front of the card base. Using the Sunset Coast Dies, cut the center of the scored Night of Navy panel. Stamp the bottom of the panel with the water image from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Versamark Ink. Sprinkle the image with Clear Embossing Powder and set it using the Heat Tool. Using the Sunset Coast Dies, cut 2 clouds from a panel of Basic White. Cut one of the clouds in half using paper Snips. Adhere the clouds to the top of the card front.

Fold the ends of the card front panel and adhere it to the card front with Tear & Tape. Stamp the sentiment from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on a panel of Basic White. Cut the sentiment out using Paper Snips. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the water image from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on the bottom of the panel. Stamp the larger sailboat image from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat then to the inside of the Night of Navy card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope to finish your card. Stamp the water image from the Sunset Coast stamp set in Night of Navy Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on the envelope front. Cut a panel of Secret Sea using the grid die from the Lily of the Valley Dies.

Registration Open of our May One Sheet Wonder Online Class

Tara Carpenter and I are teaming up to offer a fun One Sheet Wonder Online Zoom Class.  We will be creating between 6-8 card fronts using a single 6 x 6 panel of Designer Series Paper.  This class is free with a $75 purchase(before tax & shipping and after rewards) from my Online Store.  

A week before the class I will send you the complete PDF of the cards so you can cut all your cardstock gather your supplies, so you are ready to go.  We will be cutting all the Designer Series Paper live.  Everyone’s cards will be unique since you will pick which color cardstock and DSP you want to use for each card.

New Basic Black Hybrid Ink Pad Coming in May 2026!

Stampin’ Up! is releasing a new Basic Black Hybrid Stampin’ Pad (166648) and the Basic Black Hybrid Ink Refill (166649)* with the May–August 2026 Catalog!!  The new ink has the ability to work with various coloring techniques.  In fact, it’s called “hybrid” because it has similar characteristics to StāzOn and Memento—you can use this single pad for watercolor techniques AND techniques featuring Stampin’ Blends!  The new hybrid ink will be a coloring go-to.

STĀZON & MEMENTO INK UPDATE:

Something that has us less excited is how increasingly difficult it has become to source StāzOn and Memento ink. The timing of the Hybrid ink is fortunate, as it’s releasing right as Stampin’ Up! will be forced to discontinue the following products once existing inventory is gone:

Good Saturday morning stamping friends and welcome to the weekend. I hope you have some plans in the works. I’ll be working all day and I’m guessing it’ll be busy since they issued a winter storm watch for us, another 8″-10″ of snow. I’m so ready for spring.

Stampin’ Up! Greenery Lane for The Card Concepts

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. How is everyone doing today? We’re halfway through the week and on our way to the weekend already. It’s warming up a bit here in NJ. We’ve been in the 30’s finally, still dropping to the teens at night though so everything could freeze up again.

Today’s card is for the inspiration challenge from The Card Concepts. The inspiration photo #224 is Monochromatic Greens. I used the Stampin’ Up! Greenery Lane Bundle along with the new Paradise Garden Hybrid Embossing Folder (available March 3). I was inspired by the theme along with the greenery in the photo for my Clean & Layered card.

Emboss a panel of Garden Green Two-Tone Cardstock using the Paradise Garden EF. Use a sanding block and go over the panel to highlight the leaves. Adhere a panel of Wood Textured Paper to the center of the embossed panel. Adhere the embossed panel to the front of a Garden Green card base.

Stamp the leaf image from the Greenery Lane stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink on a panel of Basic White. Adhere the stamped panel to a Garden Green mat and to a Soft Sea Foam mat. Adhere the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the Greenery Lane Dies, cut the leaf die from a panel of Garden Green. Adhere it to the stamped Basic White panel. Tie a small bow using the Garden Green 1/8″ Chevron Ribbon and adhere it to the stem with a Glue Dot. Add a few Shades of Green Hexagons to the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from the Greenery Lane stamp set in Garden Green Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the leaf image from the Greenery Lane stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink, stamping it off once on scrap paper, over the sentiment. Adhere a panel of Garden Green Two-Tone cardstock that was embossed with the Paradise Garden EF and sanded using the sanding block, on the bottom of the panel. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Garden Green mat and a Soft Sea Foam mat then to the inside of the Garden Green card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope to complete the card. Stamp the leaf image from the Greenery Lane stamp set in Garden Green Ink, stamped off once on scrap paper and Soft Sea Foam Ink, on the bottom front of the envelope. Using the Blending Brush, add sone Soft Sea Foam Ink to a panel of Wood Textured Paper and adhere it to the envelope flap.

February’s Free Online Fun Fold Class Registration Open

It’s time to cash in those Bonus Coupons (starting February 3), so Tara Carpenter and I are offering a Free Online Zoom Class for February.  We will be creating 6 different Fun Fold cards; we’re hoping to show you how easy some fun folds can be.  This class will be FREE with a $50 purchase from my Online Store.   We will not be sharing the products we are using since the cards we make live will most likely be using new products that will be available in March (a week after the class).

The class requirements:

  • Visit my Online Store and place a $50 or more order before tax and shipping and after coupon codes.
  • Once you have made the purchase, fill out the Google Form HERE and submit.

What you will receive:

  • Zoom class with complete step by step instructions to complete each card as we go.
  • PDF with detailed directions and photos
  • A Link to the recorded class after we are done so you can watch it again and make more cards.

A week before the class I will send you the complete PDF of the cards so you can cut all your cardstock gather your supplies, so you are ready to go.  We will NOT be cutting cardstock or doing any die cutting live since all the cards will be different.  Everyone’s cards will be unique since you will pick which color cardstock and ink you want to use along with the Designer Series Paper, Ribbon & Embellishments for each card.
