Stampin’ Up! Wrapped in Plaid Winter Woods

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  Happy half way through  the work week day!!  Hope everyone’s week is moving right along.  Other than my surgery getting delayed for 3 hours yesterday, everything went well.  I got to be awake for the whole thing and was able to ask the doctor questions as he was performing the surgery.    The first hand wasn’t too bad, but by the time he started the second the numbness was wearing off.  He did numb it up again though.  Having a bit of trouble using my finger now, but I’ll figure out how and keep moving right along.

For today’s card I used a stamp set from the Annual Catalog which I absolutely love.    Here’s my card.

My colors were inspired by CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #350.  Here are their colors.

I started by adhering a panel of Wrapped In Plaid Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Shaded Spruce card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the tree image from the Stampin’ Up Winter Woods Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink.  I cut the image out using the largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies and cut the top section off.  I adhered the artwork to the top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I needed a star for the top of the tree, so I grabbed the Stitched Stars Dies and cut a small star out of a scrap of Gold Foil Sheet.  I adhered the star to the top of the tree using a Glue dot.  I added Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels all over the tree.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Winter Woods stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink.  I made a banner out of the strip using my Banner Triple Punch.  I adhered a small strip of a Gold Foil Sheet to the bottom of the banner using Snail and adhered it to the bottom of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a small bow from the Shaded Spruce/Gold 3/8″ Striped Ribbon and adhered it to the end of the banner using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Merry Christmas To All Photopolymer Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the pine bough image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on either side of the sentiment.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Cherry Cobbler mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the tree image from the Winter Woods stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the envelope front. I stamped one in full strength and another stamped off.  I adhered a panel of the Wrapped In Plaid Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Free Skate Memories for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s Thanksgiving?  I hope you were able to enjoy some time with family and friends or even a nice relaxing day.   How many of you were in a food coma yesterday?  I was close, but I was able to control myself.  I don’t know about you, but I always enjoy the leftovers the day after more than I do on Thanksgiving Day.  I’m in full Christmas decorating mode today.  I always decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving, but since I have to work Saturday and Sunday this year, I’m planning on getting as much as possible done today.

For today’s card I made another new to me fun fold, the Double Easel Fold.  Here’s my card.

I joined in with a couple challenges with my card today.  First off is Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #328.  Here’s their inspiration.

Next I got my color inspiration from Global Design Project #217.  Here are their colors.

My card also played along with Inspire. Create. Challenge #057.  They had a theme challenge for this week which was right up my Friday’s ally.  Here’s their theme.

I started by folding the Flirty Flamingo Easel card and adhering the 2 smaller panels of Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper using Snail.   On the larger panel of Christmastime is Here DSP I stamped the snowflake image from the Stampin’ Up! Free Skate Cling Stamp Set multiple times in Versamark Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I adhered the panel to the back portion of the easel card using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the easel card base to the Crumb Cake card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut the skates out from the Whisper White panel using the Detailed Skates Dies.  I adhered the detailed skate to the solid skate using a tiny amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut 2 skate blades out of a scrap of Silver Foil Sheet and adhered them to the skate blade on the bottom of the Whisper White skate using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the skates together using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the holly image from the Free Skate stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink, on the Whisper White panel that I cut the skates from, and cut it out using the Detailed Skates Dies.  I colored the holly and berries in using Dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the holly to the skates using a Glue Dot.  I adhered the skates to the easel card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a panel of Flirty Flamingo cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Free Skate stamp set in Versamark Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I cut a Crumb Cake mat using the next size up of the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to the Crumb Cake mat using Snail and then to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut a bow out of Mossy Meadow cardstock using the Detailed Skates Dies and adhered it to the sentiment using a Glue Dot.  I brushed the bow and holly with my Clear Wink of Stella to give it a little sparkle. I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels around on the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Christmas Cling Stamp Set in Mossy Meadow Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the holly image from the Free Skate stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink in the top corners of the panel.  I colored the holly in using my Dark Flirty Flamingo and Light Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends Markers and added Clear Wink of Stella for a little sparkle.  I stamped the snowflake image from the Free Skate stamp set in Flirty Flamingo Ink, stamping off once, over the sentiment.  I adhered the Whisper White pane to a Flirty Flamingo mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the skate image from the Free Skate stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the holly image from the Free Skate stamp set on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and cut it out using the Detailed Skates Dies.  I colored it in the same as I did for the card front and adhered it to the skate image using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a pane of Christmastime is Here DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Sweet Christmas Wishes

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends.  How is everyone doing today?  Is everyone ready for a long weekend?  I’ll be baking apple and pumpkin pies today and making a pumpkin swirl cheesecake.  I’ll make my homemade cranberry sauce and make sure the turkey is  cleaned and ready for the grill in the morning.  How about all of you, what do you have to prepare for Thanksgiving dinner?

For today’s card I used some DSP and embossing folder and some dies.  Take a look.

My design was inspired by Try Stamping on Tuesday Challenge #436.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Poppy Parade card front using the Winter Knit 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the card front to a Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered 2 panels of Night Before Christmas Designer Series Paper to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut a stitched circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies from a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I cut a circle a little smaller than the stitched circle using the Layering Circle Dies out of Pretty Peacock cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Cup of Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Poppy Parade Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I cut the sentiment out using a smaller circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.

I adhered the sentiment to the Pretty Peacock mat using Snail.  I adhered the matted sentiment to the stitched Crumb Cake circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Pretty Peacock mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a candy cane which I cut and put together using the Cup of Cheer Dies.  I cut the base in Very Vanilla and the top in Poppy Parade.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the cup image from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on the front of the envelope.  I stamped the sentiment from the Cup of Christmas stamp set inside the cup in Poppy Parade Ink.  I adhered a panel of the Night Before Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for  visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season Let Snow For Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Does anyone have any plans for the weekend, since it’s here already?  I’m leaving today for Hartford, CT for OnStage.  If you follow me on Facebook, I will be posting some new sneak peaks.  I can’t wait to meet up with my fellow team members and to get my hands on the new Occasions Catalog.  I will be sharing all that I am allowed with you next week and on my Facebook page.

For today’s card I’ve made a double triangle fun fold.  Here’s my card.

The colors of my card were inspired by Hand Stamped Sentiments Color Challenge #327.  Here are their colors.

I started with a full sheet of Shaded Spruce cardstock.  I scored it at 4 1/4″ along the 8 1/2″ side and 5 1/2″ along the 11″ side.  I lined the cardstock up in my Paper Trimmer on a diagonal and cut.  You are now able to make 2 cards with this panel.  I folded on the 2 fold lines having the 2 triangles meeting in the center of the card.  I adhered a panel of Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper to each of the Real Red mats using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the matted DSP panels to each of the triangles of the Shaded Spruce card base.

I adhered a panel of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP, which I cut using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies, to a scallop oval cut from the Layering Ovals Dies in Real Red Glimmer Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On a panel of Sparkle Glimmer Paper I stamped the snowman image from the Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I punched the snowman out using the Snowman Builder Punch.  I punched the snowman’s arms out of Soft Suede cardstock using the Snowman Builder Punch.  I adhered the arms to the back of the snowman using Glue Dots.  I adhered the snowman to the center of the oval using Stampin’ Dimensionals.   Using the Snowman Builder Punch again, I punched out a hat from the Let It Snow Specialty DSP and adhered it to the top of the snowman using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I adhered the oval to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals only on the left side of the oval.

On the top right side of the card front I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink and immediately sprinkled it with my Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped another one of the snowman images from the Snowman Season stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Real Red mat using Snail and then adhered it to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the snowman image from the Snowman Season stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I adhered a panel of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers. Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by. This week we had a Color Challenge and the colors screamed rustic to me.  Be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. Here’s my card using our colors.

Here are our colors for this week.

My design was inspired by the Paper Craft Cres Challenge #358.  Here is their sketch.

I started by stamping the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Rustic Retreat Cling Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink on the top of the Crumb Cake card front.  I embossed the  Crumb Cake card front using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the card front to a Cherry Cobbler card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped a small panel of Cherry Cobbler cardstock using the Stampin’ Up Buffalo Check Cling Background Stamp in Early Espresso Ink.  I cut the panel out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on a small Crumb Cake panel.  I cut the image out using a smaller Stitched Rectangle Die.  I adhered the artwork to the Buffalo Check stamped Cherry Cobbler panel using Snail.  I stamped the bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock and fussy cut the image out using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the bear to the corner of the artwork using a Glue Dot.

I adhered a strip of Early Espresso cardstock to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a piece of the 3/8″ Magnolia Lane Linen Ribbon with White Edge on the Early Espresso strip using Snail.  I adhered the matted artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals, making sure to add a couple Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the bear to secure it.

On the inside I stamped the cabin image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel stamping off 3 times.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Boughs Cling Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink over the cabin image.  I stamped the bear and deer image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom of the panel stamping off once.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to an Early Espresso mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Cherry Cobbler card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the tree image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink along the bottom front of the envelope.  I stamped the cabin and bear image from the Rustic Retreat stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Christmas Birds of A Feather

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  I’d like to take a moment to honor and thank all our Veterans.  I for one had 2 in my family.  My dad was in World War II serving in the Army and my brother was in Vietnam serving in the Navy.  My brother got out on medical discharge, but he still served shortly.  So Thank You to all those who have served for us.   How was everyone’s weekend?  Did anyone do anything fun and exciting?  After a fun cold time at the zoo on Friday, I had to work both Saturday and Sunday.  It was a bit colder than I expected this weekend.  I’m not quite ready for temps in the 40’s yet.  Fall is in full bloom here.  The leaves have changed and fallen from the trees (except for my tree in the front yard which always forgets that it’s fall).  My husband got to rake the leaves all day Saturday and of course my fur baby helped.  She supervised making sure he was doing it right.

For today I have a fun card for you using the Stampin’ Up! Birds of a Feather Cling Stamp Set.  I almost forgot that this set has a Christmas bird.  Here’s my card.

My colors were inspired by the CAS Colour & Sketch Challenge #346.  I was determined to make these colors work for a Christmas card.  Here are their colors.

My design came from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #410.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Poppy Parade card front using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I wrapped a piece of the Silver 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow.  I adhered the card front to a Poppy Parade card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Christmas bird from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I cut the image out using the 3rd largest Layering Square Die.  I colored the image in using my Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I used some of the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the fur part of the hat and the pompom.  I adhered the artwork to a Highland Heather scallop square cut from the 4th largest Layering Squares Dies.  I adhered the artwork to the scallop square using Snail and added a Star Designer Elements to the artwork.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Mango Melody Ink on the Whisper White panel.  I cut the sentiment out using the 4th largest Layering Squares Die.  I adhered the sentiment to a Highland Heather scallop square cut from the 5th largest Layering Squares Dies using Snail.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the artwork on top of the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the Christmas bird image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set popping out on either side of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them in using my Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Highland Heather mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the bird image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set on the envelope front and colored it in the same as I did for the card.  I stamped the star image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Mango Melody Ink along the edges of the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmastime is Here For Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Is anyone making plans for the weekend?  I’ll be at work, but today I’m heading to the Philadelphia Zoo for the day.  It’s suppose to be sunny but cold, I believe only in the 40’s.  Hoping the cool weather brings out the animals.

For today’s card I’ve been wanting to make this one for a while, but I needed to figure out how.  This card for sure will be one that I hand to someone and not mail.  Here’s my card.

The colors of my card were inspired by Color My Heart Color Dare Challenge #367. Here are their colors.

I started by cutting all the panels for the card and cutting and scoring the card base.  You need a 12″ X 12″ piece of cardstock for this card.  I took a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and scored it at 1/4″, 3 3/4″ and 7 1/4″ using my Paper Trimmer.  I turned the paper in the trimmer so that the 1/4″ side was against the bottom edge.  I lined the paper up at the 5/8″ mark and scored from the end to the 7 1/4″ score line.  I cut that piece off and folded the card like an accordion on the score lines.

On the 1/4″ fold I adhered the small Cherry Cobbler panel using Tear ‘n Tape.  I set the card base on the side so that I could work on all the panels.

For the front panel I stamped the branch image from the Stampin’ Up! Toile Christmas Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on one of the small Whisper White panels.  I colored the branch in using my Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the cardinal image from the Toile Christmas stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored the cardinal in using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers and cut it out using the Christmas Cardinal Dies.  I adhered the cardinal to the Whisper White panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a panel of the Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper to each of the 4 panels of Whisper White cardstock using Snail.  On the smallest panel I stamped the branch image from the Toile Christmas stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in using my Cherry Cobbler, Mossy Meadow and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  On the other 3 panels I stamped sentiments from the Stampin’ Up! Greatest Part of Christmas Host Cling Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler and Mossy Meadow Inks.  I adhered each of the Whisper White panels to Mossy Meadow mats using Snail and then to the Cherry Cobbler card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a piece of the 1/4″ Gold Shimmer Ribbon around the  card base in the middle and tied a bow.  I added some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the panels.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the cardinal from the Toile Christmas stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the cardinal in using my Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of the Christmastime Is Here Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  This was definitely not a quick and easy card today.  Once everything was cut and I decided on the DSP and sentiments I wanted to use, it did go together pretty quickly. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Cup Of Cheer

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How has everyone’s week started off?  We’re starting to have very chilly nights here and cool days.  Perfect fall weather.  I love when I have extra time to craft this time of year, unfortunately I always seem to have to work extra hours.

I have a non-traditional color Christmas card for you today.  Take a look.

My colors were inspired by Inspire. Create Challenge #055.  Here are their colors.

My design came from Mojo Monday Sketch #526.  Here is their sketch

I started by embossing a Night of Navy card front using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the card front to a Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a Lovely Lipstick panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered 2 banners to the top of the Lovely Lipstick panel.  One in the Noble Peacock Specialty Designer Series Paper using Snail.  The other banner is Blushing Bride I stamped with the poinsettia image from the Stampin’ Up! Cup of Christmas Photopolymer Stamp Set in Blushing Bride Ink, which I adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I cut the sentiment out using my Layering Circles Dies.

Using the Cup of Cheer Dies I cut the cup out of Blushing Bride cardstock.  I cut the inner portion of the cup out of Lovely Lipstick cardstock using the Cup of Cheers Dies.  I cut the candy cane out of Whisper White and Lovely Lipstick cardstock usng the Cup of Cheer Dies.  I adhered the inner cup piece to the cup using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Lovely Lipstick candy cane to the top of the Whisper White candy cane using tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the candy cane to the back of the cup using a Glue Dot.  I adhered the cup to the sentiment circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added 3 Old Olive Noble Peacock Rhinestones to the center of the poinsettia on the cup.

On the inside I stamped the cup image from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in the center of the cup in Night of Navy Ink  I adhered the Whisper White panel to an Old Olive mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the cup image from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink on the envelope front  I stamped a sentiment from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Night of Navy Ink in the center of the cup.  I stamped the poinsettia image from the Cup of Christmas stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Glimmer Free Skate

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Hope you all were able to do something fun and exciting.

For today’s card I used a new set to me from the 2019 Holiday Catalog.  I couldn’t decide if I wanted it or not.  I love the set, but I had to be sure I would use it enough.  I’m really happy I decided to get it.  Here’s my card.

My sketch and colors were inspired by Colours & Sketches Challenge #345 – Double.  I didn’t have their exact colors, but they said we could use similar.  Here is their challenge.

I started by embossing a panel of Seaside Spray cardstock using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I cut the skates out using the Detailed Skates Dies and cutting Rococo Rose cardstock for the solid skate and Rose Glimmer Paper for the detailed skate.  I cut the skate blades out of a Silver Foil Sheet.

I first cut the blade off the solid skate using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the detail skate to the solid skate using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the blade to the bottom of the detailed skate using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the skates to the Seaside Spray panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Free Skate Cling Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I made a banner of the sentiment and adhered it below the skates using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a small bow made from the 1/4″ Seaside Spray Metallic Ribbon using a Glue Dot.

I stamped the front of the Thick Whisper White card base using the snowflake image from the Free Skate stamp set in Seaside Spray Ink.  I adhered the card front to the front of the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Pretty Peacocok Rhinestone from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones.

On the inside I stamped the sentiments from the Free Skate stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the snowflake image from the Free Skate stamp set in Seaside Spray Ink all around the sentiment.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the skate image from the Free Skate stamp set in Rococo Rose Ink on the envelope front and colored it in using my Rococo Rose Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the snowflake image from the Free Skate stamp set in Seaside Spray Ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Happy Halloween my fellow stampers!  It’s time for our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  This week we have a color challenge.  I can’t wait to see what everyone created with these colors.  Here is what I came up with.

Here are our colors for this week.

My card played along with the Fab Friday Sketch Challenge #175.  Here is their sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Shaded Spruce card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the snowman image from the Stampin’ Up! Snowman Season Photopolymer Stamp Set.  I stamped the main part of the image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, the tree and pompom on his hat I colored with my Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Write Marker and the tree trunk I colored with my Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Marker.  I colored the snowman’s nose, hat and scarf in using my Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out using the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I adhered the stitched circle to a scalloped circle cut from my Layering Circles Dies in Real Red Glimmer Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the matted artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Versamark Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Glue Dot.  I adhered a strip of Real Red Glimmer Paper under the sentiment using Snail.  I added a few Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Snowman Season stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the snowflake image from the Snowman Season stamp set on either side of the sentiment in Coastal Cabana Ink and once over the sentiment in Coastal Cabana Ink stamping off once.  I added 2 thin strips of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP to either side of the panel using Snail.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the snowman image from the Snowman Season stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front and colored it in the same as I did for the artwork.  I adhered a panel of the Let It Snow Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.
