Stampin’ Up! Christmas Birds of A Feather

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  I’d like to take a moment to honor and thank all our Veterans.  I for one had 2 in my family.  My dad was in World War II serving in the Army and my brother was in Vietnam serving in the Navy.  My brother got out on medical discharge, but he still served shortly.  So Thank You to all those who have served for us.   How was everyone’s weekend?  Did anyone do anything fun and exciting?  After a fun cold time at the zoo on Friday, I had to work both Saturday and Sunday.  It was a bit colder than I expected this weekend.  I’m not quite ready for temps in the 40’s yet.  Fall is in full bloom here.  The leaves have changed and fallen from the trees (except for my tree in the front yard which always forgets that it’s fall).  My husband got to rake the leaves all day Saturday and of course my fur baby helped.  She supervised making sure he was doing it right.

For today I have a fun card for you using the Stampin’ Up! Birds of a Feather Cling Stamp Set.  I almost forgot that this set has a Christmas bird.  Here’s my card.

My colors were inspired by the CAS Colour & Sketch Challenge #346.  I was determined to make these colors work for a Christmas card.  Here are their colors.

My design came from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #410.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Poppy Parade card front using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I wrapped a piece of the Silver 3/8″ Metallic Edge Ribbon around the card front and tied a bow.  I adhered the card front to a Poppy Parade card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I stamped the Christmas bird from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I cut the image out using the 3rd largest Layering Square Die.  I colored the image in using my Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I used some of the new Snowfall Accents Puff Paint on the fur part of the hat and the pompom.  I adhered the artwork to a Highland Heather scallop square cut from the 4th largest Layering Squares Dies.  I adhered the artwork to the scallop square using Snail and added a Star Designer Elements to the artwork.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Mango Melody Ink on the Whisper White panel.  I cut the sentiment out using the 4th largest Layering Squares Die.  I adhered the sentiment to a Highland Heather scallop square cut from the 5th largest Layering Squares Dies using Snail.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the artwork on top of the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the Christmas bird image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set popping out on either side of the sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored them in using my Mango Melody and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Highland Heather mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the bird image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set on the envelope front and colored it in the same as I did for the card.  I stamped the star image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Mango Melody Ink along the edges of the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Birds Of A Feather Thanksgiving Card

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers.  We’re just about to the weekend, hope everyone is planning something fun.

Today’s card is another one we made at my Stamp Camp Tuesday night.  We made a Halloween card, a couple fall cards and a Thanksgiving card.  Next month is all Christmas cards.  Everyone had fun making this one.  If you live in my area and are interested in attending my classes, drop me a line.  I’d love to have you. Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a panel of Mint Macaron cardstock to a panel of Pretty Peacock cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I embossed the matted panel using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered a small panel of Crumb Cake cardstock to the center of the embossed panels using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the turkey image from the Stampin’ Up! Birds of a Feather Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the image in using my Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron, Pretty Peacock and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the artwork to a panel of Come To Gather Designer Series Paper using Snail.  I adhered the artwork over the Crumb Cake panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the layered artwork to the top of a Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I used the next size larger Stitched Nested Labels Dies to cut out a Mint Macaron mat.  I adhered the sentiment to the mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a 2019-2021 In-Color Faceted Dot to the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to the bottom of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the turkey image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set on the right of the sentiment peaking in and colored it the same as I did for the artwork on the card front.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Mint Macaron mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card, I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the turkey image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set on the envelope front and colored it in the same as I did for the artwork on the card front with the Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of Come To Gather DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Birds of a Feather Thanksgiving for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week? Are you ready for the weekend?  I hope you are making some fun plans.  I love this time of year when the air is a little cooler and the leaves are starting to change.  We’re having nice cool nights and very pleasant days right now.

For today I have a quick fun fold for you.  Actually the only part that has the fold is the Designer Series Paper.  Here’s my card.

My colors were inspired by the Fab Friday Challenge #172.  Here are their colors. Love these gorgeous fall colors.

I started out by folding my Come To Gather Designer Series Paper.  On the 5 3/8″ side I cut up 2″ at the 2 11/16″ mark.  I scored from each of the corners on an angle to the cut line and folded on the scored lines.

On the right center edge of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the turkey image from the Stampin’ Up! Birds of a Feather Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the turkey image in using my Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Mint Macaron and Pretty Peacock Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the folded DSP to the Whisper White panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the card front to a Cajun Craze  card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Gather Together Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I stamped the wheat image from the Gather Together stamp set in Mint Macaron Ink, stamping off once, over the sentiment.  I cut the sentiment out using the Stitched Nested Dies and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a small bow that I made from the Mint Macaron Nature’s Twine using a Glue Dot.  I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I colored using my Dark Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blend Marker.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Gather Together stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the wheat image from the Gather Together stamp set in Mint Macaron Ink, stamping off once, over the sentiment.  I stamped the turkey image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the bottom of the Whisper White panel.  I colored the turkey in the same as I did for the card front.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Mint Macaron mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope. I stamped the turkey image from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the turkey in the same as I did for the card front.  I adhered a panel of the Come To Gather DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. I hope you all have a fun filled weekend.  See you Monday. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Birds of a Feather for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop.

If you’ve hopped over from Mary Deatherage’s blog, welcome.  If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s projects.   The 2nd Tuesday of each month this wonderful team puts together a blog hop and you are guaranteed to see some awesome projects.  This months theme is ‘Halloween’.  We can interpret this however we would like.  Those of you that know me, know that I’m not a big Halloween fan, but I have to admit I had a lot of fun with this one.  Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock to a Basic Black mat using Snail.  I adhered the 2 panels of  Monster Bash Designer Series Paper to Basic Black mats using Snail.  I adhered the 2 matted DSP’s to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the pirate duck image from the Stampin’ Up Birds of a Feather Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the image in using my Light Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Real Red and Dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the artwork to a Basic Black mat using Snail and then to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut the sentiment out using the smallest circle from the Layering Circles Dies.  I cut a Basic Black scalloped circle out using the Layering Circles Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to the scalloped circle using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the sentiment to the center of the card front using a Stampin’ Dimensional.  I added a couple of the Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I colored with my Dark Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Marker.  I adhered the card front to a Crushed Curry card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up A Wish for Everything Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I adhered 2 strips of Monster Bash DSP to the top and bottom of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Basic Black mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Crushed Curry card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the pirate duck from the Birds of a Feather stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the image in the same as I did for the card front.  I adhered a panel of the Monster Bash DSP to the envelope flap.
