Good Saturday morning my stamping friends and welcome to the weekend. What kind of plans to you have in the works for the weekend? I’ll be working all day today and for the first time in a couple weeks it’s supposed to rain. We do need the rain; things are starting to dry up here. Tonight I’ll be going to the high school tricky tray to support the music department. Maybe I’ll get lucky this year and win something. I usually just donate and don’t come home with anything.
I played with a new bundle, DSP and 2023-2025 In-Colors for today’s card. This was one of those sets that I was on the fence about. Once I started playing with it I realized that I’m really loving it. Here’s my card for today.
I used the new Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures Bundle along with the Earthen Elegance Designer Series Paper for my card today.
I started by adhering a panel of Earthen Elegance DSP to a Pretty Peacock card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered 2 other panels of Earthen Elegance DSP to Pretty Peacock mats using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the 2 layered panels to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the vase image from the Stampin’ Up! Earthen Textures Cling Stamp Set in Pecan Pie Ink. I stamped the feather image from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Moody Mauve Ink on the same panel. I cut the images out using the Earthen Textures Dies. Using the Earthen Textures Dies again, I cut the fern from a panel of Pretty Peacock and the grass die from a panel of Misty Moonlight. I adhered the die cut feather, fern and grass pieces to the card front using Glue Dots. I adhered the vase over the stems using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink. I stamped the feather image from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Moody Mauve Ink, stamping off twice on scrap paper, over the sentiment. I adhered the sentiment to a Pretty Peacock mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few 2023-2025 In-Color Dots to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the feather image from the Earthen Textures stamp set in Moody Mauve on the bottom of the panel 3 times one after another without reinking the stamp. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Moody Mauve mat then to the inside of the Pretty Peacock card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the vase image from the Earthen Textures stamp set on the envelope front in Pecan Pie Ink. I stamped the feather image in Moody Mauve Ink. I adhered a panel of Earthen Elegance DSP to the envelope flap.
