Forever Fern Hello Friendship

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends.  We’re halfway through the week already and more that halfway through the month.  Time is really flying by lately.

I have one more card for you today that we made at our team meeting on Sunday.  This one was designed by our fabulous team leader Amy Koenders.  She designs the most beautiful cards and loves to use woodgrain paper.  Here’s my card for today.

I started by adhering a panel of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to an Early Espresso mat using Stampin’ Seal.

From the Just Jade panel I used the largest die from the Forever Flourishing Dies.  I cut 2 of the eucalyptus dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies out of the Pretty Peacock panel.  I stamped 2 of the leaf images from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink on a small panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the medium and small leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Just Jade Ink on the Whisper White panel.  I cut all the images out using the Forever Flourishing Dies.  Amy used the Gold Hoops Embellishments for her card which I didn’t have, so I decided to use the Gold 1/16″ trim from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  I adhered a piece of the gold trim on the card front using Glue Dots and then started layering all the greenery the way I wanted on top of it adhering everything down with Glue Dots or Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the Whisper White panel I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set in Cinnamon Cider Ink and cut it out using the smallest rectangle from the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the card front to an Early Espresso card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Gold Glitter Enamel Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set in Cinnamon Cider Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set around the edges in Just Jade and Shaded Spruce Inks.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to an Early Espresso mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Early Espresso card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Just Jade and Shaded Spruce Inks on the front of the envelope. I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Hello

Good Tuesday morning my stamping friends.  How has everyone’s week started off?  Things are starting to open up here in NJ.  From what I’ve heard, there are a lot of people not being responsible with keeping their distance.  I will not be going out to any other stores than the one’s I’ve been going to for the past few months.  Because things opened it doesn’t mean it’s over.  People need to be responsible.  Ok, I’m done ranting.

For today’s card I have another one we made at our team meeting on Sunday.  this one was designed by another team member, Mary Deatherage and she made such a beauty.  Here is my card for today.

I started by adhering a panel of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to a Soft Sea Foam mat using Stampin’ Seal.  I embossed a panel of Shaded Spruce cardstock using the Greenery Embossing Folder then adhered it to a Soft Sea Foam mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the matted embossed panel to the center of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered one of the Forever Gold Laser-Cut Specialty  Paper to the center of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On a small panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink.  I stamped the small leaf image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink over the sentiment a couple times.  I stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink, stamping off once, around the sentiment and leaves.  I cut the sentiment out using the 2nd smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to the center of the gold laser-cut paper using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the card front to a Basic Black card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Elegant Faceted Gems to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Free As A Bird Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam Inks on the side of the panel.  I stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink, stamping off once, around the leaf images.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce and Soft Sea Foam Inks on the envelope front.  I stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink, stamping off once, around the leaf images.  I adhered a panel of the Forever Greenery DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Birthday and Thanks

Good Monday morning my stamping friends.  How was everyone’s weekend?  We had our ‘In Person’ team meeting yesterday and even though we couldn’t be together, it was a lot of fun.

I have 2 of the 4 cards for you that we made yesterday.  My team members did such an awesome job of designing and demonstrating how to make them.  Today’s are the same technique, but just turning the card and changing the sentiment can make a difference.  These cards were designed by Sue Prather.  Here are the cards for today.

For both cards we did the same thing, just a larger acrylic block for the landscape card.  To get the strip on the card front, we inked up blocks H & I starting at one end and working our way to the other.  We inked about 1″-1 1/2″ with the following inks, Soft Sea Foam, Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green, Shaded Spruce and Pretty Peacock (in that order).  Lightly spritz it with my Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water.  Stamp it on a panel of Thick Whisper White cardstock and let it dry.  Every time you do this technique it will come out differently as you can see in my 2 cards, that’s the best part.

Once it was dry, I stamped the leafy image from the Stampin’ Up! Forever Fern Cling Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink over the color strip.  I then stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set around the leaves in Pretty Peacock Ink.

On the bottom or the top card I stamped the sentiment from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink.  On the top of the bottom card I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I adhered the card fronts to a Thick Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Seal.

On the inside of the top card I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Best Year Cling Stamp Set in the center of a Whisper White panel in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I stamped the leaf image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink on the bottom of the panel.  On the bottom card I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set in the center of a Whisper White panel in Pretty Peacock Ink.  I stamped 3 of the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Pretty Peacock Inks.  I stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink around the leaf images.  For both cards, I adhered the Whisper White panels to Pretty Peacock mats using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card bases using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

 

To finish my cards I decorated Medium Whisper White Envelopes.  I stamped the leaf images from the Forever Fern stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink on the top envelope and Pear Pizzazz, Garden Green and Pretty Peacock Inks on the bottom envelopes.  The bottom one I stamped the splatter image from the Forever Fern stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink around the leaves.  I adhered panels of Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper to the envelope flaps.

Stampin’ Up! A Good Man and Some Blog Candy

Good Sunday morning my stamping friends.  How is everyone doing today?  We are having one of the most gorgeous weekends here.  It’s been in the 70’s with only around 30% humidity.  I’m talking windows open, ceiling fans on all day and night.  Today is our ‘in person team meeting’, I’m really looking forward to stamping online with everyone.  I just have to go into work for an hour to relieve my cashiers and I have the rest of the day off.

For today’s card my niece asked me to make a Father’s Day card for my little nephews to give their dad, so I pulled out what I thought was the perfect set.  Here’s my card.

My design is from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #439.  Here is their sketch.

I also played along with Cardz 4 Guyz Challenge #246.  Their Theme is ‘Father’s Day‘.

I started by adhering a panel of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to an Early Espresso card base using Stampin’ Seal.

On a Whisper White panel, which I cut using the largest square from the Layering Squares Die, I stamped the father and son image from the Stampin’ Up! A Good Man Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink. I colored the image in using my Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Ivory, Misty Moonlight and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock with the largest square from the Layering Squares Die and embossed it using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the Misty Moonlight panel on an angle to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the artwork to the top of the Misty Moonlight panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! By The Dock Cling Stamp Set in Misty Moonlight Ink.  I cut both ends of the strip using the Lovely Labels Pick a  Punch.  I wrapped a piece of Linen Thread around the sentiment 3 times and tied a knot.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few silver Metallic Pearls to the artwork and sentiment .

On the inside I stamped the father/son image from the A Good Man stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink, stamping off twice, in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I cut the sentiment out of a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Word Wishes Dies and adhered it to the center of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Early Espresso card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the father/son image from the A Good Man stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the image in using my Crumb Cake, Ivory, Misty Moonlight and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Flowering Blooms

Good Saturday morning my fellow stampers.  How has everyone’s weekend started off?  I was able to tackle another one of my gardens yesterday that needed a lot of TLC.  This one wraps around my house and is lined with these large boulders.  I was doing great at the beginning, but after 4 hours of lifting them and raking the dirt, I was exhausted.  My daughter was helping me and was doing great until she dropped one on her foot.  These boulders have to be at least 20-30lbs each, which moving 1 or 2 isn’t bad, but after moving around 40 we were done.  It does look much nicer now, so it was well worth the pain.

For today’s card I played with another new bundle I purchased from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  Here’s my card for today.

My colors were inspired by  Color Throwdown Challenge #597.  Here are their colors.

My sketch is from CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #374.  Here is their sketch.

I started by stamping the large flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Flowering Blooms Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I colored the image in using my Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out using my Flowering Dies.

I cut another panel of Whisper White cardstock using the 2nd largest scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and embossed it using the Dainty Diamonds 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the flower to the embossed panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On the Thick Whisper White card base I stamped the Bokeh Dots image from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set in Balmy Blue Ink on the top and bottom of where I was putting the artwork.

I stamped the sentiment from the Flowering Blooms stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the bottom of the card front.  I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Rich Razzleberry sequins from the Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  I tied a small bow using the 1/8″ Night of Navy Ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack and adhered it to the bottom of the flower using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Flowering Blooms stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the large flower image from the Flowering Blooms stamp set on the bottom of the panel in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and colored it in using my Granny Apple Green and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Rich Razzleberry mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stampin’ Up! Turtle Love for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends and welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  How is everyone doing today?  If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog. This week we had a Sketch Challenge. Be sure to take a moment to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects .
Here is the sketch we had to work from.

As soon as my daughter saw this stamp set she asked me to make a card for her using the Turtle.  She has a whole turtle collection.  Here’s my card using this sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Balmy Blue card base using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered another panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to a Balmy Blue mat using Stampin’ Seal and then adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the turtle image from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Photopolymer Stamp Set in Just Jade Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink below the turtle image.  I cut the image out using the 2nd largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut a scalloped mat out of Balmy Blue cardstock using the Layering Ovals Dies.  I adhered the artwork to the mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some of the Whale of a Time Sequins to the card front using my Fine Tip Glue Pen.

On the inside I adhered 2 strips of the Whale of a Time DSP to either side of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Many Mates Cling Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss Ink in the center of the panel.  I stamped the seaweed image from the Whale Done stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the bottom of the panel, stamping off once.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Balmy Blue mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the turtle image from the Whale Done stamp set on the envelope front in Just Jade Ink.  I adhered a panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Journey

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends.  How is everyone’s week going?  Hope you are all having a productive one.  We’re already half way through the week and the weekend is right around the corner.

I have a masculine card for you today.  I’m really loving this set more than I thought I would.  Here’s my card for today.

My colors were inspired by TGIF Color Challenge #267.  Here are their colors.

My design is from Fab Friday Challenge #191.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Crumb Cake card front using the Old World Paper 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the panel to a Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered 2 different panels of the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper to Night of Navy mats using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the bottom matted DSP to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the top one using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Crum Cake cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful World Cling Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink.  I stamped the quill image from the Beautiful World stamp set in Night of Navy Ink next to the sentiment.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Bumble Bee 2020 – 2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Beautiful World stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the quill image from the Beautiful World stamp set above the sentiment and the ink pot image from the Beautiful World stamp set on the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Crumb Cake mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the ink pot and quill images from the Beautiful World stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on the bottom of the envelope.  I adhered a panel of the World of Good Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Happiest Of Birthdays For Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers. Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. It’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month so that means Blog Hop Day!! If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. If you’ve hopped over from Amy Koenders blog, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. The theme this month is “Birthday”. I wanted to make a fun card this month, so I decided to use a new set that I just received from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog and the new fun DSP.  Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a panel of Playing With Patterns 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Purple Posy card front using Stampin’ Seal.  There are so many great designs to choose from in this pack of DSP, I had to have my daughter pick for me.  I wrapped a piece of the 1/2″ Purple Posy ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack and tied a bow on the side of the panel.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the largest sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Happiest of Birthdays Cling Stamp Set in Gorgeous Grape Ink.  I cut the sentiment out using the largest die from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  I adhered the cut sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered the card front to a Purple Posy card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Purple Posy Playing With Pattern Resin Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Happiest of Birthdays stamp set in Gorgeous Grape Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I adhered a strip of the Playing With Pattern 6 X 6 DSP to the bottom of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Purple Posy mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Purple Posy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I adhered a strip of Playing With Patterns 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope front and a panel to the envelope flap.

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Yesterday turned out to be such a beautiful day here.  Upper 70’s with only 50% humidity.  I’d take a whole summer of that weather.

For today’s card I used another one of the Suites from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog that I just had to buy the whole thing, the beautiful Ornate Garden Suite.  Here’s my card for today.

I started by adhering a panel of the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Bumble Bee card base using Stampin’ Seal.

Using the Ornate Layers Dies I cut a panel of Bumble Bee cardstock .  On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Bumble Bee Ink.  I cut the sentiment out using the Ornate Layers Dies and adhered it to the Bumble Bee frame using Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered a piece of 1/4″ Old Olive ribbon from the Ornate Garden Ribbon Combo Pack to the card front using Glue Dots.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front, on top of the ribbon, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Gilded Gems to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set in Bumble Bee Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the daisy image from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style Cling Stamp Set twice in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom of the panel.  I colored the images in using my Crumb Cake and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to an Old Olive mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the Bumble Bee card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso Ink twice on the envelope front and colored the images in using my Crumb Cake and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Inspiring Iris Thanks

Good Saturday morning my stamping friends.  How has everyone’s weekend started off.  I’ll be at work all day today.  It’s suppose to be stormy here, so it might not be as busy as it has been.

Today’s card was inspired by one of my 8 gardens in my yard.  I have an Iris garden and it is now in full bloom.  When I took these pictured there were still a lot of buds.  I look forward every spring for these to bloom.

Here is my card for today.

My sketch is from the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #438.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Pear Pizzazz card front using the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered a panel of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper to the left side of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using my Light Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends Marker, I colored a piece of the Open Weave Vanilla 1/2″ Ribbon from the Forever Greenery Trim Combo Pack.  I wrapped the piece around the DSP and adhered it to the back of the card front using Glue Dots.  I adhered the card front to a Pear Pizzazz card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the stem image from the Stampin’ Up! Inspiring Iris Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  I stamped the iris image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Highland Heather Ink on top of the stems.  I cut the image out using the 4th largest Stitched Nested Labels Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on the top of the panel and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Pearl Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the stem image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on the bottom of the panel.  I stamped the iris image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Highland Heather Ink on top of the stem image.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Highland Heather mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Pear Pizzazz card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the stem image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the iris image from the Inspiring Iris stamp set in Highland Heather Ink on top of the stem image.  I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.
