Stampin’ Up! Whale Done for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday. How was everyone’s week? Are you ready for the weekend? Some of you may have already started your weekend. I’m actually off today and I’ll be making Easter egg bread all day. Except for last year, I always take Good Friday to spend making my bread since it’s an all day affair with all the risings and shaping and baking. If I’m lucky in between risings I’ll get to run to my craft area and play for a bit. Is anyone having Easter dinner at their house? I’ll be having Easter brunch with my family, my niece and her family and my nephew. Nice quiet early afternoon.

Before I forget, yesterday I was able to order the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalogs. Are you a customer of mine? If so, you will be getting one in the mail as soon as I get them. If you’d like to be a customer of mine and would like a copy of the catalog, send me an email at creativestampingdesigns@gmail.com and I will get one in the mail to you. I was also able to order some new goodies from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. I can’t wait to share what I got and wait till you see the new 2021-2023 In-Colors. They are gorgeous!!!

Today’s card I made on my Facebook Live video on Wednesday. If you were able to join me or watched the replay, thank you. If you’d like to watch my video and stamp along, the measurements are below along with the links to my Facebook page and my YouTube channel. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Photopolymer Stamp Set for my card today.

I started by scoring and folding a Night of Navy card base. On the 8 1/4″ side I scored at 1″, 2″, 3″, 5 1/4″, 6 1/4″ & 7 1/4″. I turned the card a 1/4 turn and placed the edge on the 1″ mark of my Paper Trimmer and cut from the 1″ score line to the 3″ score line, then from the 5 1/4″ score line to the 7 1/4′ score line. I moved the edge to the 2″ mark on my trimmer and made the same cuts. I put the opposite edge on the 1″ mark on my trimmer and made the same cuts, moved it to the 2″ mark and made the same cuts again. I folded the card as pictured in the template below.

Here is a view of how it looks from the top.

I adhered strips of the Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper to the 2 long side panels and the top and bottom of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I cut a panel of the Whale of a Time DSP using the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies and adhered it to the center using Stampin’ Seal.

I cut a panel of Basic White cardstock using the largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I stamped the jellyfish image from the Whale Done stamp set in Versamark Ink on the top of the square. I immediately sprinkled it with my Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. Using my Blending Brush, I added some Pool Party Ink on the panel. The embossed jellyfish resisted the ink. I stamped the seaweed image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink on the bottom of the panel. I stamped the coral image from the Whale Done stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink on the bottom center of the panel. I adhered the stitched square to the card base using a little Multipurpose Liquid Glue in the center and Glue Dots on the corners. On a separate panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the turtle image from the Whale Done stamp set 3 times in Soft Suede Ink. I colored the turtles in using my Granny Apple Green, Just Jade and Seaside Spray Stampin’ Blends Markers. I fussy cut all the turtles using my Paper Snips. I adhered the turtles to the stitched square using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Clear Epoxy Droplets from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets (I forgot to add these on my video)

On the back of the card base I adhered strips of Whale of a Time DSP to either side of the card base. On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink. I stamped the fish image twice from the Whale Done stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink, stamping off once, over the sentiment. I stamped the seahorse image from the Whale Done stamp set in Soft Suede Ink to the side of the sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Pool Party mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the back of the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the seaweed image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pretty Peacock Ink on the front of the envelope. I stamped the coral and fish images from the Whale Done stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Whale of a Time DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. The list of measurements are below if you’d like to stamp along while watching the video. You can watch my video on my Facebook page Here.

You can also view the video on my YouTube channel Here.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a very Happy Easter! Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Whale Done

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers. How has everyone’s week started off? It is definitely Autumn here in NJ. Temps in the upper 60’s low 70’s during the day with very cool nights in the 40’s & 50’s. I’ve even started to see some leaves changing.

By now you all know that Stampin’ Up! has an amazing Designer Series Paper sale going on right now, 15% off select DSP from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and from the 2020 August – December Mini Catalog. I thought I would showcase some of the different designs from the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper pack. The only thing I stamped om my card for today is the sentiments, the rest was all designed with the DSP. My daughter has been asking me to make a turtle card, so here’s what I came up with.

I started by adhering a panel of Whale of a Time DSP to a Pacific Point card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut one panel of the Whale of a Time DSP using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered 2 more panel of Whale of a Time DSP to Pacific Point mats using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the smaller panel to the longer one, evening up the left side, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered them to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I cut another panel using the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies. I cut the matching scalloped circle from a panel of Pacific Point cardstock using the Layering Circle Dies. I adhered the stitched DSP panel to the scalloped circle using Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pacific Point Ink. I cut the end using the Banners Pick A Punch and adhered it to the card front using Glue Dots. I added a few Whale of a Time Sequins to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Little Lace Cling Stamp Set in Pacific Point Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel. I adhered 2 strips of Whale of a Time DSP to either side of the panel using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pacific Point mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Pacific Point card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope. I adhered a strip of the Whale of a Time DSP to the envelope front and a panel to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Birthday Fishes for the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends and welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  How is everyone doing today?  I’m on my why to Philly today to visit the animals at the zoo.  The zoo has re-opened to members, but you had to make reservations.  I’m looking forward to going, other that the bit of having to wear a mask all day in the heat.  I’m going with my daughter, niece and her 2 boys and I’m sure we’ll have a lot of fun.  If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog.  If you are starting with me, be sure to visit everyone’s blog to see their projects. This week we had a Color Challenge.  Here are the colors we had to work from.  I chose Blackberry Bliss as my choice color.

Here is my card using these colors.

My design is from Try Stamping on Tuesdays Challenge #465.  Here is their sketch.

I started by embossing a Just Jade card front using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered a panel of Whale of a Time 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Pool Party mat using Stampin’ Seal and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a panel of the Whale of a Time DSP using the 5th from the largest Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I cut a panel of Pacific Point cardstock using the 4th from the largest Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I adhered the DSP to the Pacific Point panel using Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a piece of Vellum cardstock I stamped the turtle image from Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Photopolymer Stamp Set once in Just Jade Ink and once in Pacific Point Ink.  I stamped the sentiment and the school of fish image from Whale Done stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink.  I cut the image out using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I adhered it to the card front using a couple tiny dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the card front to a Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added some Whale of a Time Sequins to the vellum panel.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment form the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthdays Cling Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the turtle image from the Whale Done stamp set on either side of the sentiment, once in Just Jade Ink and once in Pacific Point Ink.  I stamped the seaweed images from the Whale Done stamp set on the bottom of the panel in Just Jade Ink.  I stamped the school of fish image 3 times in Blackberry Bliss Ink and I stamped the bubble image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pool Party Ink above the fish.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Just Jade mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the seaweed images from the Whale Done stamp set in Just Jade Ink on the sides of the envelope front.  I stamped the school of fish image from the Whale Done stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink multiple times across the bottom of the envelope front and stamped the bubble image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pool Party Ink above the fish.  I adhered a panel of Whale of a Time DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Whale Done! for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends and welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  How is everyone doing today?  If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog. This week we had a Color Challenge. Be sure to take a moment to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects .
Here are the colors we had to work from.

My little nephew moved up from Kindergarten and I wanted to make him a card.  Here is my card using these colors.  I read the 1st color wrong, so instead of Pretty Peacock I used Pacific Point.  At least I was kind of close, oops.

My design is from Inspire. Create. Challenge #071.  Here is their sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of Whale of a Time 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper to a Whisper White card base using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered a small panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to a Just Jade mat using Stampin’ Seal.

I embossed a strip of Just Jade cardstock using the Seabed 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the side of the small matted panel of DSP using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the whale image from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Cling Stamp Set in Smoky Slate Ink and the turtle image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  I punched the whale image out using the Whale Builder Punch and I fussy cut the turtle using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the Whale to the matted DSP using Stampin’ Dimensionals and the turtle using Glue Dots.

I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  On a thin strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Glue Dot.  I added a few Clear Epoxy Droplets from the Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the whale image from the Whale Done stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink, stamping off once, over the sentiment.  I stamped the seaweed and turtle images from the Whale Done stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on the top and bottom of the panel, some in full strength and some stamped off.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pacific Point mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the whale image from the Whale Done stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the seaweed image from the Whale Done stamp set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on the envelope front.  I adhered a panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, take a minute to hop through all our projects today. Stampin’ Up! Turtle Love for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends and welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  How is everyone doing today?  If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog. This week we had a Sketch Challenge. Be sure to take a moment to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects .
Here is the sketch we had to work from.

As soon as my daughter saw this stamp set she asked me to make a card for her using the Turtle.  She has a whole turtle collection.  Here’s my card using this sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Balmy Blue card base using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered another panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to a Balmy Blue mat using Stampin’ Seal and then adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the turtle image from the Stampin’ Up! Whale Done Photopolymer Stamp Set in Just Jade Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Whale Done stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink below the turtle image.  I cut the image out using the 2nd largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut a scalloped mat out of Balmy Blue cardstock using the Layering Ovals Dies.  I adhered the artwork to the mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added some of the Whale of a Time Sequins to the card front using my Fine Tip Glue Pen.

On the inside I adhered 2 strips of the Whale of a Time DSP to either side of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Many Mates Cling Stamp Set in Blackberry Bliss Ink in the center of the panel.  I stamped the seaweed image from the Whale Done stamp set in Shaded Spruce ink on the bottom of the panel, stamping off once.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Balmy Blue mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the turtle image from the Whale Done stamp set on the envelope front in Just Jade Ink.  I adhered a panel of the Whale of a Time 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, take a minute to hop through all our projects today.
