Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Triple Time Technique

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers.  How is everyone doing today?  Is anyone starting to make plans for the weekend?

For today’s card I’ve done a Triple Time Technique card for you.  Take a look.

I joined in with the CAS Colours & Sketches challenge #320.  Here are their colors.

I started by cutting all the panels needed for the triple time technique (measurements below).  I layered the Whisper White panels on top of one another making sure they were all centered with each other.

I then began stamping all the leaves from the Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink.  Some I stamped full strength, some I stamped off once and some I stamped off twice.  I was able to get 3 different shades of green by doing this.  I stamped a few of the hibiscus flowers from the same stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink some on the panels and a few on a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock.  The ones on the scrap I cut out using my Tropical Thinlits Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink in the center of the smallest panel.

Once I was done stamping I began to adhered the Whisper White panels to the Mango Melody mats using Snail.  I then adhered the matted layers on top of one another lining up the stamped images using Snail.  I adhered the cut out hibiscus flowers using Stampin’ Dimensionals on the card front.  I added a few of the Melon Mambo Glitter Enamel Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the leaves from the Tropical Chic stamp set all around a Whisper White panel using Garden Green Ink the same as I did on the card front.  I stamped a few of the flowers from the same stamp set and the sentiment in Melon Mambo Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Mango Melody card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the leaves and flowers from the Tropical Chic stamp set the same as I did for the card on the envelope front.  I adhered a piece of the Tropical Escapes 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to the envelope front.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  This stamp set and dies will be in the upcoming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog, but if you want the bundle price with the 10% discount you must order it before June 3rd.  After that you will have to purchase them individually.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up All That You Are Strong and Beautiful

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Mine was very wet and soggy.  It rained all weekend.  Did anyone do anything fun?

For today I have another Mother’s Day card for you.  I really need to get all my cards in the mail, today!!  Here’s my card.

I’ve joined in with 3 challenges today.  First is the Fab Friday color challenge #162.  Here are their gorgeous colors I got to work with.

Next I joined in with Aud Sentiments Challenge #226.  Their challenge theme was to Make a Feminine Project and An Appropriate Sentiment.

I also joined in with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  Here’s their theme.

I started with a panel of Tropical Escape 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper (retiring June 3rd) and adhered it to a Blushing Bride card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the large image from the Stampin’ Up All That You Are Stamp Set on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock in Soft Suede Ink.  This stamp set will be retiring on June 3rd.  I love this image, it’s perfect to color.  I colored the image in using my Petal Pink, Pool Party and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Strong and Beautiful Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a strip of the Tropical Escapes 6 X 6 DSP.

I adhered the artwork, with Snail, to a panel of Pool Party mat which I ran through my Big Shot with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I adhered the matted artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered a bow made from the Coastal Cabana/Granny Apple Green 3/8″ Reversible Ribbon (also retiring June 3rd) to the stem of the stamped image with a Glue Dot.  I adhered the stamped strip of DSP to the top of the artwork using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the flower image from the All That You Are stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the corners of a Very Vanilla Panel.  Masking the flowers I stamped the stem image from the same stamp set in Pool Party Ink around the flowers.  I colored the flowers in using my Petal Pink and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the sentiment from the Strong and Beautiful stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of the Very Vanilla panel.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the Blushing Bride card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the flowers from the All That You Are stamp set on the envelope front and colored them in the same as I did for the card.  I adhered a piece of Tropical Escapes 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Don’t forget if you liked the stamp set, DSP or ribbon that I used for my card, they will all be retiring as of June 3rd.  Grab them while you can.

Stampin’ Up Fabulous Flamingo Tropical Chic

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Did anyone do anything fun?

For today’s card I used a couple different stamp sets that I thought looked great together.  I used the soon to retire Stampin’ Up Fabulous Flamingo Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up Tropical Chic Bundle.  The bundle is only available until June 3rd at the discounted price, but will be available separately in the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  Here’s my card.

My card today also played along with 2 challenges.  First off is the Color Throwdown challenge #540.  Here are their colors.

Next is the Freshly Made Sketches challenge #385.  Here’s their sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of Tropical Escape 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Night Of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using my Stamparatus (thank goodness for that since I’m still working 1 armed), I stamped the flamingo image from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.  I started with So Saffron Ink and stamped the 1st part of the flamingo on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the 2nd part (the body) in So Saffron Ink again stamping off once.  I stamped the outline of the flamingo in Pumpkin Pie Ink.  I stamped the water image from the same stamp set on the bottom of the Whisper White panel in Night of Navy Ink stamping off once.  I stamped the grass image on the sides of the bottom of the panel in Granny Apple Green Ink.  I adhered the artwork to a Night of Navy mat using Snail and then adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a small panel of So Saffron cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Night Of Navy Ink.  I cut the sentiment out using the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies keeping the sentiment towards the bottom of the circle.  I edged the circle using my Night Of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker.  I adhered some of the palms I had cut out using my Big Shot and the Tropical Thinlit Dies in Granny Apple Green cardstock, to the back of the sentiment using Snail.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped a couple of the hibiscus flowers from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Inks on a scrap of Whisper White cardstock and cut them out using my Big Shot and the Tropical Thinlit Dies.  I adhered them to the top of the sentiment circle using Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped 2 different leaves from the Tropical Chic stamp set in Granny Apple Green on a panel of Whisper White cardstock, stamping off once on some of them.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Night of Navy Ink in the center of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a So Saffron mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Night Of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a couple more of the hibiscus flowers I had stamped and cut out to the side of the Whisper White panel using Glue Dots.

To finish my card off I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the flamingo from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set on the envelope front the same way that I did for the card front.  I stamped the hibiscus flower from the Tropical Chic stamp set on the envelope front and envelope back in Pumpkin Pie Ink.  I adhered a piece of the Tropical Escape  6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Don’t forget if there are any of the retiring stamp sets, paper, ink or embellishments that you are really wanting.  Now is the time to grab them before they sell out.
