Stampin’ Up! Wild About You

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is everyone’s week going?  How are you all doing with your Social Distancing?  I don’t know about you, but this is getting tougher as the days go by.  I miss spending time with my niece, nephews and all my other family members and friends.  I know this is all for the best, but I’m ready to go back to normal.

For today’s card, I made a real challenging one for me.  I’m not a big fan of Orange or Yellow, but I was determined to make a card using these colors.  Here’s my card for today.

My colors are from the Fab Friday Color Challenge #186.  Here are their colors.

My design is from the CAS(E) This Sketch Challenge #366.  Here is their sketch.

I also played along with Paper Players Theme Challenge #485.  Here is their theme.

I started by stamping the giraffe image from the Stampin’ Up! Animal Outing Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored the image in using my Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I then cut the image out using the Animal Friends Dies.  On a panel of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Animal Outing stamp set in Soft Suede Ink and cut the sentiment out using the 2nd largest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut the scalloped square mat using the Layering Squares Dies out of a panel of Terracotta Tile cardstock.  I adhered the stitched square to the scalloped square using Snail and adhered the giraffe image to the square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the giraffe pattern die from the Animal Friends Dies, I cut a Daffodil Delight panel twice.  I adhered the die cut panel to a Mango Melody mat, which I cut using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered a piece of Terracotta Tile 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon across the middle of the panel using Snail.  I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock using the Ornate Layers Dies and then embossed it using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered a panel of Pumpkin Pie Regals 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Thick Whisper White card base using Snail.  I adhered the Whisper White die cut panel to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the matted die cut panel on top of the Whisper White panel using Glue Dots and the artwork on top of the matted die cut panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Terracotta Tile 2019-2021 In-Color Faceted Dots to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Big Thank You Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the giraffe image from the Animal Outing stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the panel and colored it in using my Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Pumpkin Pie mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the giraffe image from the Animal Outing stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom front of the envelope and colored it in using my Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of the Mango Melody Brights 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Animal Outings Under My Umbrella Baby Shower for Fun Fold Friday

Happy Valentine’s Day my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week? Is anyone doing anything special today or tonight?

A co-worker of mine asked me to make her a baby shower card for her daughter who is having her first baby.  The only thing she told me was to make it blue since they are having a boy.  So I pulled out something old and something new.  I used some of the new Designer Series Paper from the Coordination products.  Here’s what I came up with.

I joined in with Inspire. Create Challenge #062.  Here is their challenge for the week.

I started by adhering a panel of the Coordination Pleased As Punch Designer Series Paper to a Soft Seafoam mat using Snail.  I adhered the matted panel to a Whisper White mat using Snail and then to a Balmy Blue card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the Kangaroo image from the Stampin’ Up! Animal Outings Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink.  I colored the image in using my Crumb Cake, Ivory and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out using the Animal Friends Dies.  I stamped the umbrella image on a panel of Subtle 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the umbrella handle on a scrap of Soft Seafoam cardstock in Soft Suede Ink.  I punched the umbrella and the handle out using the Umbrella Builder Punch.

I used the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies to cut a circle from Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered the stitched circle to a scallop circle which I cut using the Layering Circle Dies in Soft Seafoam cardstock using Snail.  I adhered the kangaroo to the circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the umbrella handle to the umbrella using a Glue Dot and adhered it to the kangaroos hand using a Glue Dot.  I adhered the artwork to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and added a few Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  On a thin strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Under My Umbrella Photopolymer Stamp Set in Balmy Blue Ink and made it into a banner.  I adhered it to a Soft Seafoam banner mat using Snail and then to the left side of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Heart Epoxy Droplet which I colored using my Dark Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Marker.

Next I made the card base.  I scored a 4 1/4″ X 11″ panel of Balmy Blue cardstock at 1 3/8″, 2 3/4″, 8 1/4″ and 9 5/8″.  I folded the sides in and then back so that it would look like this:

It’s kind of like a Z-Fold on both sides.

On the inside I stamped the sentiments from the Animal Outings stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the kangaroo image from the Animal Outings stamp set over the sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink stamping off once.  I stamped the umbrella and handle images from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Soft Seafoam Ink in the kangaroos hand.  I colored the umbrella in using my Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Soft Seafoam mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On the right side panel of the card base, I adhered a panel of Coordination Pleased As Punch DSP which I matted on a Soft Seafoam panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the card front to the left side of the card base using Tear & Tape Adhesive.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the kangaroo image from the Animal Outings stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the umbrella image from the Under My Umbrella stamp set in Soft Seafoam Ink attached to the kangaroo.  I colored the images in using my Crumb Cake, Ivory, Smoky Slate and Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends Makers.  I adhered a panel of the Pleased As Punch DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Animal Outings for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  The weekend is here already, has anyone had a chance to make plans?  I feel like the weekend snuck up very quickly.  Gotta love these 4 day weeks.

For today’s card I was asked to make a baby shower card for a friend.  I had to put my thinking cap on for a bit to come up with an idea.  I don’t really have any ‘baby’ stamp sets, but then I remembered the one set that I have that would be perfect.  I made a ‘Z-Fold’ card for you, but my measurements are a little different than normal.  Here’s my card.

My card was able to join in with a few challenges today.  First off I played along with Global Design Project Color Challenge #205.  I thought these colors were perfect for a baby shower card (mom to be knows it’s a girl).  Here are their colors.

Next I played along with Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #332.  With a little work I made this work as a fun fold.  Here is their sketch.

I also joined in with Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #237.  They have a theme challenge and I thought how much more feminine could a baby shower card be.  Here is their challenge.

I started by stamping the momma kangaroo image from the Stampin’ Up Animal Outing Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a small panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored the image in using my Rococo Rose and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the image out using my Animal Friends Dies.  I cut out a stitched square from Rococo Rose cardstock using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut out a scalloped square from So Saffron cardstock using my Layering Squares Dies.  I adhered the stitched square to the scalloped square using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the kangaroo to the square using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I adhered a strip of Rococo Rose card stock to the folded edge using Snail.  I adhered the artwork to the folded edge using Stampin’ Dimensionals only on one half.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Greetings Cling Stamp Set in Rococo Rose Ink on a thin strip of Whisper White cardstock.  I punched the sentiment out using the Classic Label Punch and I cut the one edge straight using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using a Glue Dot and Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  I attached a small bow made from Whisper White Solid Bakers Twine with a Glue Dot.

I wrapped a piece of the Rococo Rose 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon around the left side of the card.

On the inside I adhered a panel of the Mint Macaron Gingham from the Subtle 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper using Snail.  I adhered a Whisper White panel to a Rococo Rose mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Mint Macaron card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I did not stamp a sentiment on the inside because my friend wants to write something herself.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the kangaroo image from the Animal Outing stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the image in using my Rococo Rose and So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered a panel of So Saffron Gingham from the Subtle 6 X 6 DSP on the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Animal Outing Kids Birthday

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is everyone doing?  How’s the weather by you? VERY windy here yesterday.  We had trees down and branches flying.

For today’s card I made a Z-Fold Kids birthday card using the Stampin’ Up Animal Outing Bundle.  I love fun fold cards, I really need to make more for you.

I started with a Lemon Lime Twist card base and scored and folded it at 4 1/4″  and 2 1/8″.  Here’s what it looks like folded.

I adhered 2 different panels of Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper to a Call Me Clover mats using Snail.  I then adhered them both to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the Giraffe image from the Animal Outing stamp set,  twice in Soft Suede Ink.  I colored both giraffes in with my Light Soft Suede and Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Using my Big Shot, I cut both images out using the Animal Friends Thinlits Dies.   I adhered the giraffes looking over the short panel at the 2 frogs on the branch on the larger panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On another small piece of Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the birthday sentiment from Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set in Call Me Clover Ink.  Using my Big Shot again, I cut the sentiment out using the smallest Stitched Rectangle Framelit Die.  Then using the next size up, I cut another Stitched Rectangle out in Lemon Lime Twist cardstock.  I adhered the sentiment to the mat using Snail and then adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Call Me Clover Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots to the card front and the sentiment.  I also added 2 Candle Embellishments to the sentiment.  In case you can’t tell, the card was for a 2 year old.

On the inside I stamped a sentiment from the Itty Bitty Birthday stamp set in Call Me Clover on a rectangle a hair smaller than the Lemon Lime Twist mat on the card front.  I edged the rectangle with my Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Marker then adhered it to the inside, making sure it was under the rectangle on the card front, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card off, I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the giraffe and frog on a branch image from the Animal Outing stamp set in Soft Suede Ink.  I colored the giraffes in the same as I did for the card front and I colored the frog on the branch in with my Call Me Clover, Lemon Lime Twist and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers.  I adhered a piece of Animal Expedition DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!
