Good Sunday morning my stamping friends. How is everyone’s weekend going? It’s feeling a bit like fall here. It went from being in the 90’s on Wednesday here to the 50’s this weekend. I feel bad for all those that head for the shore for Memorial weekend to kick off the summer (it’s a thing in NJ). I’m really hoping it warms up a little for our picnic tomorrow, or we’ll be bringing it inside.

My obsession continues with today’s card. I’m just changing up the colors a little. This was originally a card we were going to make at our next in person team meeting, but I’ve changed my mind on the design, so here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Bundle for my card today. I love the Basic Black with the Polished Pink, I think it really pops.

I started by embossing a Polished Pink card front with the Painted Textures 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to a Basic Black mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the matted card front to a Polished Pink card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

From a panel of Basic White cardstock I cut the the frame using the Scalloped Contours Dies. On the same panel, I stamped the outline flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Color & Contour Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped the flower fill color in Polished Pink Ink over the outline image. I cut the flower out using the Scalloped Contours Dies.

On the scalloped frame, I stamped the sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the bottom of the frame. I stamped the splotch image from the Color & Contour stamps set in Polished Pink Ink, stamping off once, on the top portion of the frame. I adhered the die cut flower image over the splotch stamp using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Matte Black Dots to the card front. I tied a small bow using the Polished Pink 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon and adhered it to the flower stem using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Color & Contour stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink in the center of a Basic White panel. I stamped the outline flower image from the Color & Contour stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the side of the panel. I stamped the flower fill image in Polished Pink Ink over the outline image. I stamped the splotch image from the Color & Contour stamp set in Polished Pink Ink, stamping off once, around the flower. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Basic Black mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Polished Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the outline flower image from the Colors& Contour stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front. I stamped the flower fill color in Polished Pink Ink. I stamped the splotch image from the Color & Contour stamp set in Polished Pink Ink, stamping off once, around the flower. I adhered a panel of the 2021-2023 In-Color Designer Series Paper to the envelope flap.

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. We’re halfway through the week and on the downhill to the weekend. Is anyone starting to make plans?

It’s time for another inspiration challenge for The Card Concept. For the next 2 weeks we have a Anchors Away challenge. Here is my card that was inspired from the challenge photo.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sailing Home Cling Stamp Set for my card today. I was inspired by the Nautical Images and Colors in the inspiration photo for my Clean and Layered card. The Pillows also inspired me so I used a piece of the Linen Specialty Paper for those.

I hope you will take a moment to visit The Card Concept and join us this week to play along with our challenge #156. How are you inspired by this photo?

I started by cutting multiple anchors and helms from a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock using my Smooth Sailing Dies. I adhered them to a panel of Misty Moonlight cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the panel to a Real Red mat using Stampin’ Seal.

I adhered a panel of the Linen Specialty Paper to a Real Red mat and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I took a strip of the sand design paper from the Sand & Sea Designer Series Paper and tore it. I adhered the strip to a panel of Sand & Sea DSP using Stampin’ Seal and adhered the panel to the Linen Specialty Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the 2 sailboat images from the Sailing Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images using my Misty Moonlight and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the sailboats out using my Smooth Sailing Dies and adhered them to the panel using Stampin’ Seal for the smaller one and Stampin’ Dimensionals for the larger one. I added a few Silver Metallic Pearls to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Sailing Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink in the center of a Basic White panel. I stamped the 2 sailboat image from the Sailing Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the bottom of the panel and colored them in using my Misty Moonlight and Real Red Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the anchor image by the sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink, stamping off twice. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Real Red mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Misty Moonlight card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To complete my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the compass image from the Sailing Home stamp set on the envelope front in Misty Moonlight Ink, stamping off twice. I stamped the anchor image over the compass in Misty Moonlight Ink, stamping off once. I adhered a panel of the Sand & Sea DSP to the envelope flap.

WHISPER WHITE CARDSTOCK PRODUCTS- AVAILABLE WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

Stampin’ Up! announced this information related to the Whisper White paper products late last evening:

Whisper White has been a Stampin’ Up! staple for so long. We love it and we know you love it, too. We are sad to announce that the supplier’s mill producing our Whisper White cardstock has permanently closed due to impacts from the COVID-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, we weren’t given much notice on this closure. This means that the technology unique to this particular supplier is now unavailable to us and we can no longer offer our Whisper White cardstock and related products, such as Whisper White Note Cards & Envelopes. Please note that this won’t affect any of our other cardstocks, this only affects Whisper White.

We know Whisper White has a huge fan base; we’re big fans, too! And we are crushed that it’s going away. Even though this decision was out of our hands, rest assured that we jumped right into action to find the best replacement paper possible. We have dedicated many hours to source and test alternative cardstock options from several suppliers to find the perfect fit that still maintains the Stampin’ Up! quality you know and trust. We are happy to share that we have found a winner for our new cardstock, Basic White!

The quality of our new Basic White was thoroughly tested by our quality assurance and product teams. It also tested very well with demonstrators and concept artists who gave it a huge thumbs up. We believe in the quality of the new Basic White cardstock and we know it will become your new crafting staple!

What does this mean for you?
