Good Saturday morning my stamping friends and welcome to the weekend. I hope you have some fun plans in store. I’ll be at work all day today and not sure what I’ll be doing after work yet.
Today’s card someone asked me to make. There’s a little story behind it. She’s giving it to a friend that has 3 cats, Ivy, Maple and Willow. That will explain the designs on the images. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments Bundle along with the Stampin’ Up! Willow Tree Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Stampin’ Up! Soft Seedlings Cling Stamp Set for my card today.
I started by adhering a panel of the Metallic & Shimmer Specialty Paper to a Basic White mat. I adhered the layered panel to a Cajun Craze card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments Cling Stamp Set in Garden Green Ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock. I cut the sentiment out using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I adhered the sentiment to the top of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the maple leaf image form the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Real Red Ink. I stamped the willow leaf image from the Willow Tree stamp set in Granny Apple Green Ink. Using the Full Basket Dies, I cut the maple leaf and willow leaves using the cat die. Using the Twigs & Sprigs Embossing Folder & Dies, I cut 2 panels of Garden Green cardstock. I adhered the ivy leaves to a panel of Garden Green cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I cut the Garden Green panel using the cat die from the Full Basket Dies. Using the Sentiments Silhouettes Dies, I cut out 4 details candles from a panel of Basic White cardstock. I cut 4 solid candles from scraps of Garden Green, Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red cardstock using the Sentiment Silhouettes Dies. I cut 4 flames from a scrap of Daffodil Delight cardstock.
I adhered the solid candles to the back of the detailed candles and the flames to the top of the candles using small amounts of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the candles to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the cats to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots to the card front.
On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Garden Green Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the willow leaf image from the Willow Tree stamp set on the top of the panel in Granny Apple Green Ink. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Garden Green mat then to the inside of the Cajun Craze card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the maple leaf image from the Soft Seedlings stamp set in Real Red Ink on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Metallic & Shimmer Paper to the envelope flap.
