Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Wishes for Fun Fold Friday

Goof Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Does anyone have plans for the weekend?  I’m working tomorrow and Sunday dropping my daughter off for the week so she can house and animal sit while my niece is away.  She does this every year and it’s so hard since her and I do almost everything together.

For today I made a floating card for you.  I haven’t done one of these in a while and I forgot how much I like them.  Here’s my card for today.

My inspiration came from the Double D Challenge.  Here is their inspiration.

My colors are from the Paper Players Color Challenge #503.  As soon as I saw these colors I thought butterflies.  Here are their colors.

I started by scoring and cutting a Pool Party card base.  I cut the front panel, from the fold, at the 2 1/2″ mark.  I cut the bottom portion that I cut off to a 1 1/2″ panel.  I embossed 2 panels of Pool Party card stock using the Meadow Moments Embossing Folder.  Using Stampin’ Seal, I adhered a Window Sheet to the 1 1/2″ panel about 1/4″ in.  I lined the bottom of the panel up with the bottom of the back of the card base and adhered the top of the Window Sheet to the top of the card base using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the 2 embossed panels over the top and the bottom panels of the Window Sheet using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using the Butterfly Beauty Dies, I cut 1 from a panel of Night of Navy cardstock and 1 from a panel of Mango Melody cardstock.  I also cut just the top 2 butterflies out of a panel of Melon Mambo cardstock.  I adhered the Night of Navy die to the top of the Mango Melody die using tiny amounts of Multipurpose Liquid Glue just in the larger areas.  I adhered the Melon Mambo inner pieces of the butterflies to the back of one  butterfly and to the front of the other using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the butterflies to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals only on the top and bottom.  I didn’t want to use any on the center butterfly since I didn’t want them to show through the Window Sheet.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Wishes Cling Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink.  I cut both ends of the strip into a banner using my Banner Triple Punch.  I adhered a piece of 1/8″ Night of Navy Ribbon from the Playing With Patterns Ribbon Combo Pack to the butterflies using Glue Dots.  I adhered the sentiment over the ribbon using Stampn’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the larger butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in Mango Melody Ink on one side of the sentiment and the medium butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on the other side.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the top of a Pool Party mat using Stampin’ Seal.  I stamped the small butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in Night of Navy in on a smaller panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I adhered the smaller panel to the bottom of the Pool Party mat using Stampin’ Seal.  I adhered the matted panels to the inside of the Pool Party card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the larger butterfly from the Butterfly Wishes stamp set in Mango Melody Ink, the medium butterfly in Melon Mambo and the small butterfly in Night of Navy Ink on the envelope front and flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Butterfly Birthday

Good Tuesday morning my stamping friends.  How has everyone’s week started off?

For today’s card I went out of my comfort zone.  I usually make cards with lots of colors or at least 3, today I made a monochromatic card.  This was really hard for me, but I wanted to try it.  I used some items from the 2019-2020 Annual Catalog and mixed it with some new items from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog.  Here’s my card for today.

My colors are from Seize The Birthday Challenge #190.

I also joined in with Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe Challenge #017.  I went across the top.

I started by cutting the butterflies out using the Butterfly Beauty Dies in Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  I adhered the butterflies to a Soft Sea Foam card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using some of the gorgeous new ribbon from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog I used the Flowers For Every Season Ribbon Combo Pack and the Just Jade 2020-2022 In-Color 1/4″ Ribbon.  I started by wrapping a piece of the Whisper White 1/2″ Faux Linen Ribbon around the right corner on an angle and adhered it on the back of the card front using Snail.  I wrapped a piece of the Just Jade 3/8″ Gingham Ribbon around the bottom of the card front, overlapping the Faux Linen Ribbon, adhering it on the back with Snail.  I then wrapped a piece of the Just Jade 2020-2022 In-Color 1/4″ Ribbon over the top of the Faux Linen Ribbon and the Just Jade Gingham Ribbon adhering it on the back of the card front with Snail.

I cut the sentiment out of a small panel of Just Jade cardstock using the Well Written Dies and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I added a few Just Jade 2020-2022 In-Color Enamel Dots to the card front.  I adhered the card front to a Just Jade card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Well Said Cling Stamp Set in Shaded Spruce Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the Bokeh dots image from the Stampin’ Up! Beauty Abound Cling Stamp Set in Soft Sea Foam Ink around the sentiment.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Soft Sea Foam mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Just Jade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the butterfly image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the bokeh dots image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set on the envelope flap in Soft Sea Foam Ink.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Beauty Abounds Thinking of You Card

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  TODAY’S THE DAY!!!  The 2019-2020 Annual Catalog goes live at 2:00 Eastern Time today!!  I’m so excited, I can’t wait to place my order.  I have to work this morning, but I should be out just in time to be able to order.  Now of course we can order anytime after 2pm, but I just can’t wait.

In the meantime, I have a card for you today.  My Upline is doing a daily challenge for the month of June.  I’m always up for a challenge.  Today’s challenge was Take A Walk and Be Inspired By Nature.  Sometimes I just have to walk away from my craft table to find inspiration somewhere.  So, I took a walk outside.  I saw butterflies on the bushes where I was walking, so that inspired my card today.  They were little white butterflies on the green bushes with pink flowers.  I used the  Butterfly Beauty Dies as the focal part of my card.  I have to be honest with you, this looked a lot easier than it was.  I thought for sure cutting out and putting it right back in place was going to be a breeze, nope, I was wrong.   Take a look.

For my card today I joined in with Fab Friday challenge #164.  Here are their colors.

I also played along with Aud Sentiments challenge #228.   Their challenge is Nature + A Sentiment.

I started with a panel of Shimmery White cardstock and did the shaving cream technique using Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz Ink Refills.  Once my panel dried I ran it through my die cutting machine using the Butterfly Beauty Dies.  I ran a panel of Soft Sea Foam cardstock through the die cutting machine using the Butterfly Beauty Dies also.

The tricky part came when I had to fit the Shimmery butterflies into the Soft Sea Foam cardstock and adhere it to the Pear Pizzazz card base.  I’ll admit, it took me a couple of tries.  Once I was able to get everything in place, I carefully adhered all the pieces using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I ran a panel of Flirty Flamingo cardstock through my die cutting machine using the more detailed Butterfly Beauty Dies.  I carefully fussy cut the largest butterfly away from the others using my Paper Snips.

I adhered the large butterfly die to the matching one on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue in just a few spots so that the wings were raised.  On a small strip of Pear Pizzazz cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Beauty Abounds Cling Stamp Set in Versamark Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with my White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.  I made the strip into a banner and adhered it to the right side of my card using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the bokeh dots from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Flirty Flamingo Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped one of the butterflies from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink above the dots.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Butterfly Gala Photopolymer Stamp Set in Pear Pizzazz Ink on top of the bokeh dots.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Pear Pizzazz card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Since I had the other butterflies cut out from the larger one, I adhered them to the left inside of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the wandering flower image from the Beauty Abounds stamp set on the envelope front in Pear Pizzazz Ink.  I stamped the butterfly from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Flirty Flamingo Ink  by the flower image.  I stamped the bokeh dots from the Beauty Abounds stamp set in Flirty Flamingo Ink on the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping!!
