Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home for The Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good St. Patrick’s Day morning my stamping friends! Welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. I hope everyone is doing well today. Is anyone making corned beef and cabbage for dinner tonight? Even though I’m 100% Italian, my mom used to make it every year on St. Patrick’s Day. I don’t get it at all anymore unless my neighbor makes it and give me a bowl. My family does NOT like it at all and I’m not going to make it just for myself.

If you are hopping over from Akiko Sudano’s blog, thank you for stopping by. This week we have a Sketch Challenge. Here is my card using this week’s Sketch.

I felt the need to make something using green today since it’s St. Patrick’s Day, so I used the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Bundle along with the Heart & Home Designer Series Paper for my card today.

Here’s our sketch for this week.

I started by adhering a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the front of a Basic White Thick card base. I cut a panel of Garden Green cardstock using the 2nd largest die from the Scalloped Contours Dies. I adhered a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the center of the die. I adhered the layered die to the center of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I scored a strip of Basic White cardstock at 1″ & 1 1/4″ on both ends. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Honeybee Home Cling Stamp Set in Smoky Slate Ink in the center section of the strip. Using my Banner Pick A Punch, I cut both ends of the cardstock. I folded the Basic White strip on the score lines to make a raised banner. I adhered the banner to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Basic Whtie cardstock I stamped the 3 bumblebee images from the Honeybee Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images using my So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the bumblebees out using my Honeybee Blooms Dies. From a panel of Garden Green cardstock I cut 5 the leafy dies using my Flowers of Home Dies. I adhered 4 of the leafy dies under the sentiment using Glue Dots. I adhered 2 of the bumblebees to the sentiment banner using Glue Dots. I added a few Basic Gray Classic Matte Dots to the banner.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! All For Baby Photopolymer Stamp Set in Smoky Slate Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the bumblebee image from the Honeybee Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on either side of the sentiment and colored them in using my So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers. I adhered the leafy die under the sentiment using a tiny amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the bumblebee die on top of the leafy die using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Garden Green mat and then to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base.

To complete my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the bumblebee image from Honeybee Home stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front where I will be writing the address. I colored the bees using my So Saffron Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the floral image from the Honeybee Home stamp set in Smoky Slate Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Heart & Home DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, take a minute to hop through all our projects today. Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. Have you started shopping the new July-December 2021 Mini Catalog and earned some FREE Sale-a-bration items yet? What are you waiting for? Shop now through Monday August 9th and earn my Double Creative Stamping Designs Rewards. I got my order in first thing yesterday morning, YAY!!! I should have my goodies by tomorrow and can’t wait to start playing with them all.

Today’s card is another one we made at my class last night. I had a couple of the ladies request a baby card. A couple wanted baby boy cards and others wanted gender neutral. Here’s the card we made.

I used the Stampin’ Up! All For Baby Bundle for my cute card today.

I started by using my Blending Brush and added Pool Party Ink to a panel of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the clothesline image from the Stampin’ Up! All For Baby Photopolymer Stamp Set in Gray Granite Ink on the inked panel. I cut the top of the panel using my Basic Borders Dies. I adhered the card front to a Thick Basic White card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the romper outfit from the All For Baby stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink and the teddy bear image from the All For Baby stamp set in Gray Granite Ink. I cut the stamped images out using my Baby Clothes Dies. Using my Baby Clothes Dies I cut 2 of the hangers from a panel of Basic White cardstock, 4 of the clothespins from a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock, the onesie outfit from a panel of Hand-Penned Designer Series Paper and the bib from a panel of Pattern Party Hose Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the sentiment from the All For Baby stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the top of the inked panel. I adhered the outfits to the hangers using Stampin’ Seal and the clothespins to the die cut images using a tiny amount of Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the die cut images to the clothesline using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the All For Baby stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on a panel of Basic White cardstock. I stamped the teddy bear image from the All For Baby stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the bottom of the panel. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Pool Party mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Thick Basic White card base using Stampin’ Seal.

To finish my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the bear image from the All For Baby stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the envelope front. I stamped the little striped romper outfit from the All For Baby stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Pattern Party Host DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!
