Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. We’re halfway through the week already. Time is just flying by. Yesterday they came to start the process of refinishing 2 of my bedroom floors. It was VERY loud. My poor Coraline was traumatized with all the noise. I’ve never seen her in hiding ALL DAY like that. At one point I was able to get her out from under my chair and I picked her up. She was shaking and trembling so bad I wanted to cry. Once I was able to pry her out of my arms, I took her outside for a walk. When we got home, I couldn’t get her back into the house she was so scared. I did finally get her in and she went back into hiding. Once my husband got home her was able to get her outside again, but she wouldn’t play, she just went to hide under a bush. I ran to the store and when I got home an hour later, he was still outside with her, he couldn’t get her in. Once we did, she was at my feet all night. I’m hoping today will be a little better when the guys get here. At least there won’t be much noise.
Today’s card I played with a sketch my upline gave us. Jaimie is giving us a sketch each week to play with. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Bundle, the Stampin’ Up! Happy Labels Photopolymer Stamp Set, Glorious Gingham 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper along with Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder, Deckled Rectangle Dies and Banner Pick A Punch for my card today.
This is our sketch for this week.
I played along with the Hand Stamped Sentiments Inspiration Challenge #414. I was inspired by the purple African Daisies in the photo.
I started by adhering a panel of Glorious Gingham DSP to a Lemon Lime Twist card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I cut a panel of Basic White using the 3rd largest Deckled Rectangle Dies. I randomly stamped the leaf image from the Stampin’ Up! Cheerful Daisies Photopolymer Stamp Set in Lemon Lime Twist Ink on the side of the panel. I embossed the panel using the Exposed Brich 3D Embossing Folder.
On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the medium outline daisy image from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Blackberry Bliss, Fresh Freesia, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Moody Mauve Inks. I stamped the medium solid daisy image from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in the same colors, stamping off once on scrap paper. I cut all the daisies out using the Cheerful Daisies Dies. I arranged the daisies on the side of the panel using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the panel to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist Ink. I cut the ends of the strip using the Banner Pick A Punch. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added Daffodil Delight Glossy Dots Assortment to the flower centers.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Happy Labels stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the stem and leaf images from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist Ink on the bottom of the panel. I stamped the daisy image from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Highland Heather Ink on the stem. I stamped the daisy center in Daffodil Delight Ink. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Highland Heather mat then to the inside of the Lemon Lime Twist card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the stem and leaves from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Lemon Lime Twist Ink on the envelope front. I stamped the medium daisy images from the Cheerful Daisies stamp set in Fresh Freesia and Highland Heather Ink on the stems. I stamped the daisy centers in Daffodil Delight Ink. I adhered a panel of Glorious Gingham DSP to the envelope flap.
