Good Monday morning my stamping friends. How was everyone’s weekend? It’s been a bit crazy here at my house. Between getting paper shares cut and shipped out, painting, moving furniture around and trying to find time to make some cards. The next couple weeks are going to be very hectic. We’re getting new windows in a couple rooms tomorrow, then we have to get everything out of the rooms for the floors to be refinished. My husband ripped the carpet out of a couple of the bedrooms and we have hardwood floors, so they are coming to sand and refinish them. It will all look beautiful when it’s done, but until then, my house is going to be upside down.
I played with some new items for today’s card. A new stamp set, new dies, new embossing folder and new colors. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Vertical Blooms Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the Stampin’ Up! Go To Greetings Cling Stamp Set, Petal Patterns Dies and Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder for my card today.
I started by embossing a Pool Party card front using the Exposed Brick 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to a Pool Party card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
I cut panels of Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly cardstock using the Petal Patterns Dies. I adhered them together lining up the flowers. I cut 2 rows of flowers off using Paper Snips. I adhered the layered die to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
On a strip of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Vertical Blooms stamp set in Azure Afternoon Ink. I adhered the sentiment to the side of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Go To Greetings set in Azure Afternoon Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the stem/leave image from the Vertical Blooms stamp set on the bottom of the panel in Pool Party Ink. I stamped the flower image from the Vertical Blooms stamp set in Lemon Lolly Ink on the stems. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Pool Party mat then to the inside of the Pool Party card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the stem/leave images from the Vertical Blooms stamp set in Pool Party Ink on the envelope front and flap. I stamped the flower images from the Vertical Blooms stamp set in Azure Afternoon and Lemon Lolly Inks on the stems.
