Stampin’ Up Just Because CAS Thinking of You Card

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is your week going?  We’re halfway through and the weekend is right around the corner.

For today I have a quick and easy card for you using the soon to retire Stampin’ Up Just Because Host Stamp Set.  Here’s my card for today.

I joined in with the Fab Friday sketch challenge #163.  Here is their sketch.

I also played along with Inspire. Create color challenge #043.  Here are their colors.

I started by adhering a panel of the soon to retire Wood Textures Designer Series Paper to a Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the one of the images from the Stampin’ Up Just Because Host Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I colored the image in using my Granny Apple Green and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the artwork to a Granny Apple Green mat uisng Snail.  Host stamp sets can be earned with Stampin’ Rewards which you earn with qualifying parties of orders of $150 or more.  Each catalog has a select few sets that are only available with Stampin’ Rewards.  If you have any questions on how to earn them, please feel free to contact me.

I adhered a strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock to the back of a banner made from the soon to retire Brights 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper using Snail.  I adhered the banner to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the matted artwork over the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the top of the leafy image from the Just Because Host stamp set on the bottom of a Whisper White panel in Granny Apple Green Ink, stamping off twice.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Well Said Stamp Set in Granny Apple Green Ink in the center of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Granny Apple Green mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the plant from the Just Because Host stamp set on the envelope front and colored it in the same as I did for the card.  I adhered a piece of the Wood Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Sitting Here

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s week?  Are you ready for the weekend?  Sunday’s mother’s day, I hope all of you that are mothers are gong to be treated to something nice.  This includes mothers for children and animals, if it wasn’t for you they wouldn’t be taken care of and it’s your turn to be treated.  I have to work, so who knows what I will come home to.

For today’s card I’ve used a set that will be retiring as of June 3rd, it’s the Stampin’ Up Sitting Here Stamp Set.  This is actually a very quick and easy card.  Take a look.  Doesn’t the puppy look nice and cozy curled up with the pillows?

I played along with the Color Throwdown challenge # 542.  Here are their colors.

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I stamped the swing, the bird and the flower pot images from the Sitting Here stamp set in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the grass image from the same stamp set along the bottom of the panel in Granny Apple Green Ink.  On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the 3 pillows in Soft Suede Ink and on a scrap of Crumb Cake cardstock I stamped the dog image in Soft Suede Ink.

I colored in the swing using my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I colored the cushion on the swing with my Balmy Blue Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I colored the flowerpot, flowers and pillows in using my Balmy Blue, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Wood Textures Designer Series Paper mat using Snail, adhering it to the top of the panel.  I adhered the matted card front to a Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Sitting Here stamp set in Soft Suede Ink.  I fussy cut the pillows and dog out using my Paper Snips. I adhered the pillows and the dog to the swing image using Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the sentiment to the top of the swing using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Sitting Here stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I adhered a strip of the Wood Textures DSP to the bottom of the Whisper White panel.  I stamped the dog and flowerpot from the same stamp set in Soft Suede Ink and colored them in using my Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the dog and flowerpot image from the Sitting Here stamp set in Soft Suede Ink and colored them in the same as I did for the card.  I adhered a piece of Wood Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Sailing Home Sneak Peek

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers and Happy May Day everyone! .  We’re half way through the week and on our way to the weekend.  I can’t believe it’s May already. Before you know it, Memorial Day will be here.

For today’s card I have a little sneak peek for you from the up coming 2019-2020 Annual Catalog.  It’s the Stampin’ Up Sailing Home Bundle.  This was the first set that caught my eye and I just had to have it.  I’ve also made a fun fold card for you.  Here’s my card.

I joined in with the TGIF Inspiration Challenge #209 .  Here’s their challenge.

I started with a Soft Suede card base and scored it at 5 1/2″ and 2 3/4″.  I adhered a panel of the up coming Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to the inside.  I just love news print paper on cards.

I took a small panel of the Soft Suede cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  This folder will be retiring as of June 3rd, so now’s the time to grab it if it’s something you’ve been wanting.  I stamped the anchor, lighthouse, sailboat and sentiment images from the Sailing Home stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Sahara Sand cardstock.  I then cut them out using the Smooth Sailing Dies.  I also cut a strip of Sahara Sand cardstock and sponged it with Soft Suede Ink using my Stamping Sponge.

I arranged the pieces the way I wanted to on the embossed panel.  I adhered them using Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the card front to the front panel of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the small inside panel I adhered a piece of Sahara Sand cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up High Tide Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the grass and birds from the same stamp set on the bottom of the panel in Sahara Sand Ink stamping off once.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I started by sponging all around the front and back of the envelope with Soft Suede Ink and my Stamping Sponge.  I stamped the lighthouse and sailboat from the Sailing Home stamp set in Soft Suede Ink.  I adhered a panel of the Come Sail Away DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope that you liked my card.  This stamp set, dies and DSP will all be available June 4th for purchase.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up April Paper Pumpkin

Goods Friday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s week?   I’ve had an interesting couple of days.  For some of you that know me, I had to have shoulder surgery Wednesday.  Last June I tore my rotator cuff and the surgeon said he had to do a lot of repairing of my biceps.  I’ve been with one arm for the past few months waiting till I could make an appointment to get it repaired.   With that being said, I am 1 armed right now in a sling and all bandaged up.  I’m typing with one hand, luckily I’m a pretty good typist and I made all these cards with one hand.  The most challenging part was trying to make bows, but I was determined and I did it.  I’m the type of person that nothing will stop me.  I’m very determined and stubborn and I won’t let anything get me down.   I was determined to have a card ready to blog for you for today and I not only made 1, but I made 9 along with a case to hold them.  It’s the April Paper Pumpkin Kit.  Take a look.

I don’t really have my normal step by step instructions for you, but I have the pictures of all the cards inside and out.

After I made all the cards I made the box that came with the kit for the cards to go in.  The Stampin’ Up Paper Pumpkin Kits come with everything you need.  Of course I had to add some extras, because that’s what I do.  Your 1st kit comes with a clear block and you use that block for all future sets.  Everything comes cut for you, all adhesives are included.  Each kit comes with a new stamp set, ink spot, envelopes, embellishments and step by step instructions.  These kits are great for on the go.  They are perfect for new stampers that want to get their feet wet without investing in too much to see if they like stamping (but who doesn’t like creating beautiful cards).

A couple of them I followed the instructions, but again those who know me know I do my own thing.  I never have 2 cards exactly the same.  I’ve never liked duplicating cards.  Even when I make my Christmas cards, if I’m sending out 50, it’s 50 different cards.

I added sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Strong & Beautiful Stamp Set to the Mother’s Day cards.

I made a couple of them into birthday cards.

And stamped the inside with sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set.

I made a couple of them into thank you cards.

And stamped the inside with sentiments from the Stampin’ Up A Big Thank You Stamp Set.

The last ones I made into thinking of you and best wishes.

And stamped the insides with sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Well Said Stamp Set.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  This just goes to show that even someone with only 1 arm can make cards.  I did cut liners for the inside of each card and it was easier than I thought it would be.  I hope you liked my cards and would consider subscribing to the Paper Pumpkin.  If you are interested in subscribing, click here.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and those who celebrate, have a Blessed Easter.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Rooted In Nature Masculine Card

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers. The weekend is coming up quickly.  Is anyone making plans.

For today’s card I made a masculine card that we made at my last workshop.  The ladies wanted to make masculine cards, so that’s what we did.

I started with a panel of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper and using my Big Shot, I ran it through with the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I adhered the card front to a Tranquil Tide card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using my Big Shot again, I cut 2 panels of the Nature’s Poem DSP out using my Rectangle Stitched Framelits Dies.  I adhered each of the rectangles to a Tranquil Tide mat using Snail then I adhered them to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
On a small piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the tree trunk image from the Stampin’ Up Rooted In Nature Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink, stamping off twice.  I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of the trunk then I fussy cut the trunk.  I adhered the trunk to the center of the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I embossed and die cut a couple of the leaves from the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies in Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I adhered the triple leaf under the top of the trunk using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and I adhered the other 2 leaves on the bottom of the trunk using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered a small Mint Macaron bow from the Nature’s Twine using a Glue Dot on top of the leaf stems.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the leaf images from the same stamp set in Blackberry Bliss, Cajun Craze, Grapefruit Grove, Mint Macaron and Tranquil Tide Inks stamping off once or twice to get light images.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Tranquil Tide card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the front of the envelope the same as I did for the bottom of the inner liner of the card with the leaf images from the Rooted In Nature stamp set.  I adhered a piece of Nature’s Poem DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!

Stampin’ Up Painted Seasons for Just Us Girls and TGIF

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  Hope your week has started out well.

For today’s card I used the Stampin’ Up Painted Seasons Stamp Set again.  I’m loving this set.  You can get this set as a bundle with Designer Series Paper FREE with a $100.00 order.  I absolutely love the images in this set.  My card today is very similar to yesterday’s card in style, measurements are a little different and of course different colors.  Take a look.

I joined in with the ‘Just Us Girls’ color challenge # 475.  Be sure to stop by to see what everyone has made and to play along.  Here is their colors.

I also joined in with the TGIF Sale-A-Bration Inspiration challenge #199. Be sure to stop by to see what everyone has made for their challenge too and to play along.  Here is their challenge.

I started with a panel of Whisper White cardstock and stamped the succulent flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink randomly around the paper.  I stamped the star clusters from the same stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink around filling in empty spaces.  I adhered the artwork panel to a Blushing Bride mat using Snail.  I adhered the matted artwork to a Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up By The Bay Stamp Set, FREE Sale-A-Bration item with a $50.00 order, in Cherry Cobbler Ink on the bottom right of the card front.  I added 3 Rhinestone Basic Jewels that I had colored in with my Dark Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blend Marker, to the top corner of the card front.

On the inside I stamped the succulent flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Blushing Bride Ink on the two corners of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the star clusters from the same stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink by the flowers.  I stamped the sentiment from the By The Bay stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink in the center of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Thick Whisper White card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the succulent flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set on the envelope front and the envelope flap in Blushing Bride Ink.  I stamped the star cluster in Cherry Cobbler Ink by the flowers.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  Yesterday and today’s card were the same layout, but using different colors, different measurements and the different flower making the cards look a little different.  Happy Stamping.

Stampin’ Up Painted Seasons for Color Throwdown

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was your weekend?  For those of you that have today off for Presidents Day, I hope you’re enjoying your long weekend.  It was actually a beautiful weekend here, the weather was beautiful for this time of year.  Now the snow and ice start again.

For today’s card I used one of the new beautiful Sale-A-Bration stamp sets that’s available as a bundle with Designer Series Paper FREE with a $100.00 order.  It’s the Stampin’ Up Painted Seasons Stamp Set.  I did not use the DSP for my card today that comes with the bundle, but I will soon.  Take a look.

I joined in with the Color Throwdown challenge #530.  Be sure to stop by to see what everyone has made and to play along.  Here is their challenge.

I started with a Smoky Slate card front and ran it through my Big Shot using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

On a strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the flower image from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink randomly around.  I then stamped the small star cluster image from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink around to fill in empty spaces.  I adhered the artwork to a Melon Mambo mat using Snail.  I then adhered the matted artwork to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and adhered the card front to a Smoky Slate card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using the soon to be available from the Sale-A-Bration Coordination collection, Story Label Punch (available March 1st), I punched a label out in Melon Mambo cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Part Of My Story Stamp Set (Free Sale-A-Bration item) in Versamark Ink on a strip of Whisper White cardstock.  I sprinkled it immediately with my Black Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I adhered the sentiment to the label and trimmed the ends to the label.  I added a Heart Epoxy Droplet, which I colored with my Dark Lovely Lipstick Stampin’ Blend Marker (that was the closest to Melon Mambo I could get).  I adhered the label to the right of my artwork with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on the two corners of a panel of Whisper White cardstock.  I added a couple of the star clusters from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink by the flowers.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthdays Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Melon Mambo mat using Snail and adhered it to the inside of the Smoky Slate card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the flower from the Painted Seasons stamp set on the front of the envelope and the envelope flap in Melon Mambo Ink and the star cluster in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!

Stampin’ Up By The Bay For TGIF and ‘Just Us Girls’ Challenges

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is your week going?  Were you able to hop around yesterday with our team Blog Hop? If not, go back and check out everyone’s beautiful projects.

For today’s card I used a FREE Sale-A-Bration stamp set called By The Bay.  I joined in with the TGIF Challenge #198 and ‘Just Us Girls’ Challenge #474. Be sure to stop by both challenges to see what everyone has made and to play along.  Here is my card that I came up with for the challenges.

Here is the TGIF Sketch Challenge

and here is ‘Just Us Girls’ Challenge

I started with a panel of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a Crumb Cake card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the house image from the Stampin’ Up By The Bay Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  This beautiful stamp set is a FREE item with a $50 order during Sale-A-Bration.  I just love this image and would absolutely love to be in that house looking out at the bay right now.  On a smaller piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the seagull image in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  Using my Aqua Painter filled with Alcohol, I water colored the images in using Balmy Blue, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Gray Granite, Pacific Point, Pear Pizzazz, Sahara Sand, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede Inks.  To get the ink I squeezed the stamp pad before opening it so that ink goes on the inside of the lid.  I used my Aqua Painter to pick up the ink to color my picture with.  When I was done with each color, I wiped the lid with paper towel to make sure ALL alcohol was off the lid before closing it.  You do not want to get alcohol in your ink.  Once I was done watercoloring my pictures I cut them out using the Layering Oval Framelits Dies and my Big Shot.  I adhered the house and bay image to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue and I adhered the seagull image using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small strip of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the By The Bay stamp set in Soft Suede Ink.  I stamped the seashell from the same stamp set to the right of the sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink.  I edged the strip using my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Marker to give it a little dimension.  I then adhered the sentiment to the card front, sliding it under the seagull image, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I attached a small bow made of Linen Thread to the sentiment strip using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the house image from By The Bay stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink, stamping it off once, in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Soft Suede Ink over the house image.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!
