World Card Making Day Events – Save The Date, October 1!

INKIN’ KREW WORLD CARD MAKING DAY EVENT –

9 AM ET UNTIL 9 PM ET, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 1!

We’re doing it again!!  Our team will be hosting a fun all-day event on Saturday, October 1 for World Card Making Day!  Our event will feature card making presentations live on the event Facebook page as well as some fun giveaways!

Stampin’ Up! is also hosting an event online and we’re scheduling our event so that it runs before and after the Stampin’ Up! event!  Most of us will be using one of the three bundles from the Stampin’ Up! event for our projects so you will come away from the day with tons of ideas for those three bundles!

All are welcome to join us!  We’ll be setting up a Facebook page to host the event and we’ll be sharing the link to the page in late September.  Keep an eye out on my Facebook page and blog for more details!  No registration required for our group, just request to join the Facebook page when you see it in late September!  Can’t wait to stamp with you all then!!

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday blog. I hope everyone had a wonderful week and you are looking forward to a fun weekend. I’m working all day Saturday, but Sunday is our in-person team meeting. I look forward to this every quarter meeting up with everyone in person and on Zoom. It’s fun stamping with friends and just getting together to chat.

I needed a baby card for work, so I thought I’d make a fun fold one. They are having a lunch for my boss in 2 weeks and I’m taking up the collection for him, so I figured I’d make the card to go with it. He’s going to be a 1st time dad next month. I missed doing my Wednesday Facebook Live since I got stuck at work later than I expected. I’m planning on being back next week though. I’m hoping to start doing YouTube lives soon too, thanks to all that have subscribed to my channel and made this possible. I’ll be posting something once I figure out what day and time will work best. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Celebrating You Cling Stamp Set along with the Happy Forest Friends Designer Series Paper and the Stampin’ Up! Charming Sentiments Photopolymer Stamp Set for my card today.

I started by scoring a folding a Sahara Sand card base. On the front I made a tiny mark at 3″ from the bottom of the card base. I scored from the 3″ mark to the top of the 4 1/4″ center score line and folded the corner forward.

I took a panel of Happy Forest Friends DSP and made a mark 2 7/8″ from the bottom of the panel and cut from that mark to the top left corner. I adhered the panel to the card base under the folded piece using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Dry fit the panel first just in case you need to trim the bottom a bit. I adhered the folded panel down on top of the DSP.

Using my Layering Circles Dies, I cut a panel of Happy Forest Friends DSP with the little bear on it. I cut a coordinating scalloped circle from the Layering Circles Dies out of a panel of Calypso Coral cardstock. I adhered the die cut DSP to the scalloped circle using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered circles to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink. Using the Double Oval Punch, I punched the sentiment out of the solid oval and the scalloped oval from a panel of Calypso Coral cardstock. I adhered the sentiment to the scalloped oval using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and a Glue Dot.

On the inside, I adhered a panel of Happy Forest Friends DSP to the top of a Calypso Coral Mat. I stamped the sentiment from the Celebrating You stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the sentiment from the Charming Sentiments stamp set in Calypso Coral Ink below the 1st sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel below the DSP on the Calypso Coral mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the inside of the Sahara Sand card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I adhered a strip of the Happy Forest Friends DSP to the envelope front and a panel to the envelope flap.
