Stampin’ Up! Poppy Moments Mother’s Day

Good Saturday morning my fellow stampers.  How has everyone’s weekend started off?  I have to work a partial day today, but I have tomorrow off.  I’m hoping to finish up my spring cleaning, get some windows washed and new curtains hung.

For today’s card I used the Poppy Moments Dies combined with the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin.  Here’s my card.

I started by cutting out all the pieces I needed.  I cut 4 of the longer leaves die from the Poppy Moments Dies by cutting 2 each in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock, the fronts and backs.  I adhered the pieces together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I also cut 2 of the smaller leaf dies from the Poppy Moments Dies, 1 each in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive cardstock, fronts and backs.  I adhered them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I cut all the outline flower dies from the Poppy Moments Dies in Basic Black cardstock.  I cut 2 smaller poppy dies from the Poppy Moments Dies in Flirty Flamingo and Vellum cardstock.  I cut one of the larger poppy die from the Poppy Moments Dies  in Poppy Parade and Vellum.  I cut all the flower centers from the Poppy Moments Dies from a Black Foil Sheet.  I adhered the Basic Black out line dies to the Vellum die cuts, only in the center using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the smaller poppies to the Flirty Flamingo dies and the larger poppy to the Poppy Parade die, only in the center using Multipurpose Liquid Glue  I adhered the flower centers using a Stampin’ Dimensional.

I adhered a panel of Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to the inside front of one of the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards using Multipurpose Liquid Glue only along the edge of the paper.  I arranged the flowers and leaves the way I thought I would like them using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.

I added a few Noble Peacock Rhinestones to the card front.

You can see when you open the card you see the reverse side of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP. On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tulips Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the poppy images from the Stampin’ Up! Painted Poppies Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the bottom corner of the panel using the masking technique.  I stamped the leaf images from the Painted Poppies stamp set around the flowers in Mossy Meadow Ink.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Mossy Meadow mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated an envelope which came in the Bird Ballad Laser-Cut Cards & Tin.  I stamped the poppy image from the Painted Poppies stamp set on the envelope front in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I stamped the leaf image from the Painted Poppies stamp set in Mossy Meadow Ink around the flowers.  I adhered a panel of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Smile Daisy Lane for Fun Fold Friday

Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday.  How was everyone’s week?  Is anyone planning anything for the weekend?  I’m working a partial day tomorrow and getting my spring cleaning done.

For today’s card I made a fold I haven’t done in a while and forgot how much I like it.  I do have detailed pictures and instructions for you since it is a little hard to explain.  Here’s today’s card.

I’ve combined the Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Stampin’ Up! Daisy Lane Cling Stamp Set for my card.  Click HERE for a  template which I got from Lisa Curcio, to do the braid on the edge.

I lined the template up with the edge of my card and cut carefully on the lines all the way down the edge so it looks like photo above.  When you open your card base it looks like the 2nd picture above.

Starting at the bottom, you want to fold down the bottom  cut piece and carefully cut it off using your Paper Snips as shown above and set it aside (you will need it later).  Fold the next cut piece down and tuck it behind the point below it.  Continue doing this all the way to the top cut piece.

When you finish folding and tucking all the pieces down it will look like the 1st picture above.  Take the small piece that you cut off and adhere it to the top of the card, using Glue Dots, lining it up and tucking it under the top point so it looks like the middle photo above.  When you fold your card back in half it will look like the end photo.

I adhered a panel of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP to the card front using Snail.  On a small panel of Whisper White card stock I stamped the stem image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Old Olive Ink.  I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Early Espresso Ink across the stem.  I cut the image out using my Rectangle Stitched Dies.

On a small piece of Vellum card stock I stamped the medium daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Terracotta Tile Ink twice.  I cut the images out using the Medium Daisy Punch.  I adhered the 2 cut daisies together using a Glue dot and adhered it to the stem image using a Glue Dot.  I added a Perennial Essence Floral Center to the daisy.  I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a small bow made from the Terracotta Tile 1/4″ Ornate Garden Ribbon and adhered it to the bottom of the stem using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Early Espresso Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the stem image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Old Olive Ink, stamping off once, on the side of the panel.  I stamped the small daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Terracotta Tile Ink, stamping off once, to the top of the stem.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Terracotta Tile mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Old Olive card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the stem image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Old Olive Ink on the envelope front.  I stamped the small daisy image from the Daisy Lane stamp set in Terracotta Tile Ink on the top of the stem.  I adhered a panel of the Ornate Garden Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up! By The Dock for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning my stamping friends and welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. How is everyone doing today? Hope you are all staying heathly and safe. If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for stopping by my blog. Be sure to take a moment to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects today. This week we had a Color Challenge, here are the colors we got to work with.

Here’s what I came up with for these colors.

My design is from Global Design Projects Sketch Challenge #234.  Here is their sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of Tropical Oasis Designer Series Paper to a Soft Suede card base using Snail.

On a Whisper White cardstock panel I stamped the shoreline and bird images from the Stampin’ Up! By The Dock Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink.  I cut the image out using the 2nd largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I stamped the boat and oars images from the By The Dock stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the Whisper White panel.  I colored the images in using my Dark Real Red and Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the frog image from the By The Dock stamp set in Old Olive Ink and colored it in using my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the images out using the Dockside Dies.  From a small panel of Old Olive cardstock I cut the shoreline from the Dockside Dies out.  I cut the die cut in half using my Paper Snips.  I cut a banner using my Banner Triple Punch from a small panel of Real Red cardstock.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Itty Bitty Birthday’s Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the banner.  I embossed the banner using my Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the banner to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the boat, oars and frog to the stitched circle using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots.  I adhered the artwork to the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the shoreline die behind the artwork using Glue Dots.  I stamped a couple more of the birds from the By The Dock stamp set on the card front in Soft Suede Ink.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Timeless Tropical Cling Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the boat image from the By The Dock stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the panel and colored it in using my Dark Real Red and Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the bird image from the By The Dock stamp set 3 times above the sentiment in Soft Suede Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Real Red mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the boat and frog images from the By The Dock stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom of the envelope front.  I colored the images in using my Old Olive, Dark Real Red and Light Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the bird image from the By The Dock stamp set in Soft Suede Ink, 3 times in the center of the envelope front.  I adhered a panel of the Tropical Oasis DSP to the envelope flap.

Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style Garden

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends and Happy April Fools Day!!  How is everyone doing today?  Today is the day we’ve been waiting for.  The Ornate Garden Suite is available starting today!! YAY!!

For today’s card I decided to show off some of the products from the suite.  Ok, my whole card is made with products from the suite.  Here’s today’s card.

My design is from Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #362.  Here is their sketch.

I started by adhering a panel of the gorgeous Ornate Garden Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Mint Macaron mat using Snail.  I adhered the matted DSP to a Terracotta Tile card base using Snail.  I cut the edge of a small Terracotta Tile panel using the Ornate Borders Dies and then embossed it using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I adhered the embossed panel to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  On a small Whisper White panel I stamped the daisy image from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Style Cling Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.  I cut the image out using the Stitched Rectangle Dies.  I colored the image in using my Mint Macaron and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I adhered the artwork to the embossed panel using Stampn’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Mint Macaron cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Ornate Thanks Photopolymer Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.  I cut the image out using my Stitched Rectangle Dies.  There isn’t a die long enough for the sentiment so I had to make my own.  I cut the sentiment out only going part way through using my die cutting machine.  I then moved the die over matching up the stitches and cut from the other side making sure to only go part way through again.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Gilded Gems to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Ornate Thanks stamp set in Early Espresso Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the daisy from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom of the panel and colored it in using my Mint Macaron and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the scroll image from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the  top corner of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Mint Macaron mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Terracotta Tile card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the daisy image from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the bottom front of the envelope and colored it in using my Mint Macaron and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the scroll from the Ornate Style stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the top corner of the envelope front.  I adhered a panel of Ornate Garden Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!
