Good Sunday morning stamping friends. I hope you are all having a great weekend. I can’t believe it’s the 15th of December already. There’s only 10 days left till Christmas, and I haven’t gotten my Christmas cards out yet or my shopping done, but my house is decorated and Christmas cookie baking got wrapped up last night. I have 2 cookies that need decorating today and the 2 bar cookies need their chocolate layer on top. I’ll take care of doing that this morning and hopefully tonight when my daughter gets home from work, we’ll start getting all the cookie trays done and ready to be delivered.
Today’s card is another one that we made last Sunday at our team meeting. This card was designed by my team member Nicolette Reiser. I changed mine up a little bit, or a lot. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive Happy Hibiscus Bundle along with the Stampin’ Up! Mixed Labels Cling Stamp Set (available January 7th) and Stampin’ Up! Labeled With Love Bundle for my card today.
Start by embossing a Basic White card front using the Happy Hibiscus Hybrid Embossing Folder. Adhere the embossed panel to a Melon Mambo card base using Liquid Glue.
On a panel of Basic White, stamp the outline image from the Stampin’ Up! Labeled With Love Photopolymer Stamp Set in Melon Mambo Ink. Stamp the sentiment from Labeled with Love stamp set in Azure Afternoon Ink inside the outlined image. Cut the sentiment out using the Labeled with Love Dies. Adhere the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On the panel of Basic White, stamp the detailed medium flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Hibiscus Photopolymer Stamp Set in Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst and Melon Mambo Inks. Stamp the solid flower image from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set in Azure Afternoon, Berry Burst and Melon Mambo Inks, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the detailed images. Cut the flowers out using the Happy Hibiscus Die. Adhere the flowers to the card front around the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Cut the leaves from a panel of Granny Apple Green using the Happy Hibiscus Dies. Adhere the leaves under the flowers using Liquid Glue. Add a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the flower centers.
On a panel of Basic White, stamp the sentiment from the Mixed Labels stamp set in Azure Afternoon Ink. Stamp the large, detailed flower image from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on the bottom of the panel. Stamp the solid flower image in Melon Mambo Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the outlined image. Stamp the detailed leaf image from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set in Granny Apple Green Ink around the flower. Stamp the solid leaf image in Granny Apple Green Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the detailed images. Adhere the Basic White panel to an Azure Afternoon mat then to the inside of the Melon Mambo card base.
Finish the card by decorating a Basic White Medium Envelope. Stamp the large, detailed flower image from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on the envelope front. Stamp the solid flower image in Melon Mambo Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the detailed image. Stamp the detailed leaf image from the Happy Hibiscus stamp set in Granny Apple Green Ink around the flower. Stamp the solid leaf image in Granny Apple Green Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the outlined image. Emboss a panel of Basic White using the Happy Hibiscus EF. Adhere the embossed panel to the envelope flap.
