Stampin’ Up Home To Roost

Good Wednesday morning my fellow stampers.  Hope everyone is having a wonderful week.

For the card I made for today I went out of my comfort zone.  I was actually pretty pleased with how it turned out.  I’m not really into chickens or farming, but I said I was going to feature a different Sal-A-Bration item each day this week.  We’re getting down to the wire for getting free items.  Here is my card for today.

After I was done, I saw the Hand Stamped Sentiments sketch challenge #311 and thought that this might qualify.  Here is their sketch.

I started with a piece of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper (FREE Sale-A-Bration item) and cut it into 1″ strips.  I adhered the DSP onto a Poppy Parade card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue so that I would have a little wiggle room to line the strips up.

I stamped the rooster from the Stampin’ Up Home To Roost Stamp Set (FREE Sale-A-Bration item) in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a small piece of Whisper White cardstock. I colored the rooster in using my Cajun Craze, Mango Melody, Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers.  Then using my Big Shot, I cut the image out with my Layering Ovals Framelits Dies.  I also cut out the scalloped oval that was just a little larger in Poppy Parade cardstock.  I adhered the artwork to the scalloped oval using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then to my card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a scrap piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the flower from the Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Stamp Set in Poppy Parade Ink.  I stamped the flowers 4 times without reinking to get the Ombre effect.  I cut the flowers out with my Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies and my Big Shot.  I adhered the flowers to the right side of the artwork using Glue Dots and Mini Stampn’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Home To Roost stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a strip of Vellum paper and adhered it over the artwork using Glue Dots.  I adhered the card front to a Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the inside I stamped the grassy image from the Home To Roost stamp set in Old Olive Ink, stamping off twice, to a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink above the grass.  I adhered some more of the flowers I had stamped and cut out using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the grass and the rooster from the Home To Roost stamp set on the front of the envelope in Old Olive and Tuxedo Black Memento Inks.  I adhered a piece of the Botanical Butterfly DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for taking the time to stop by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  This card used 2 of the FREE Sale-A-Bration items that are available with a $50 order.  Sale-A-Bration ends on Sunday, so don’t delay.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Butterfly Gala Quick and Easy card

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was your weekend?  We had a beautiful one here. I took my 4 legged furry baby out and went for over a 5 mile walk yesterday.  It felt so good to be out walking and not cold.  Jasmine loved every minute of the walk too.

For today’s card I made another quick and easy card for you featuring a Sale-A-Bration item.  I’m going to try to feature a different Sale-A-Bration item each day this week.  This is your LAST WEEK OF SALE-A-BRATION.  This wonderful time of year ends Sunday, so if there are items that you would like to receive for free, now’s the time to get them.  Here is my card.

I started with a Lemon Lime Twist card front and adhered a piece of the beautiful  Sale-A-Bration Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper to it using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Butterfly Gala Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the bottom portion of the cardstock.  I then ran it through my Big Shot using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder to give it a little texture.

I wrapped a piece of Grapefruit Grove Nature’s Twine around the bottom and tied a bow.  I adhered a large and small grapefruit grove butterfly and 2 small daffodil delight butterflies, that I had punched out from another sheet of the Botanical Butterfly DSP using my Butterfly Duet Punch, to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the card front to a Lemon Lime Twist card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Daffodil Delight and 1 Grapefruit Grove Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.

On the inside I adhered another piece of the Botanical Butterfly DSP to the inside of the Lemon Lime Twist card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Gala stamp set toward the top of a panel of Whisper White cardstock using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the Botanical Butterfly DSP on the inside of the card base using Snail.  I adhered a daffodil delight and lemon lime twist butterfly using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I adhered a Lemon Lime Twist butterfly to the envelope front and a panel of the Botanical Butterfly DSP to the envelope flap.  This was a very quick and easy card that the DSP did most of the work for you.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.   I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Vertical Greetings Z-Fold Card

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers.  How was your week?  Is anyone doing anything fun this weekend?

For today’s card I made a Z-Fold card.  I just love doing this type of card.  I used the Stampin’ Up Vertical Greetings Stamp Set.  I also used some of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper that is a FREE item with Sale-A-Bration.   Just a little reminder, Sale-A-Bration will be ending on March 31, 2019.  If you haven’t gotten the free items that you would like, now’s the time to get that order placed.  Don’t miss out on getting all the free goodies you want.  Here is today’s card.

I started with a Thick Very Vanilla card base scored at 4 1/4″ and 2 1/8″.  I stamped one of the potted plant images from the Vertical Greetings stamp set on the front of the card base.  I colored the image in using my Balmy Blue, Early Espresso, Grapefruit Grove and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Write Markers.  This is a great way to stamp an image using multiple colors on the same stamp.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set next to the image in Early Espresso Ink.

On a scrap piece of Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the squirrel and bird images from the Stampin’ Up Sitting Pretty Stamp Set in Basic Gray, Smoky Slate and Balmy Blue Inks.  Using my Big Shot I cut the squirrel, bird and park bench out with my Pretty Park Framelits Dies.  I cut the park bench out using Wood Textures Designer Series Paper so that it had the wooden look.

I adhered the squirrel and bird to the park bench using Glue Dots and adhered the park bench to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using my Butterfly Duet Punch I punched out some of the butterflies from the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper.  I adhered a couple to the card front using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I adhered a panel of the Botanical Butterfly Designer Series Paper using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. On a small panel of Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthday Stamp Set in Early Espresso Ink.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to the left of the inside so that it wouldn’t show when the card was closed.  I adhered some more butterflies to the card base using Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dots and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the potted plant image from the Vertical Greetings stamp set on the envelope front the same as I did for the card front.  I adhered a piece of Botanical Butterfly DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping and have a great weekend!!
