Good Saturday morning my stamping friends. I made it to Georgia and I’m already having a great time. Today we get to spend the day crafting, laughing, eating and just talking with each other. I can’t wait to see what everyone has brought for us to make. Today is also the 1st year in 34 years that I’m away from my husband for our anniversary. I asked him before committing and he told me to go and have a good time. We’ll celebrate next week when I get home.
My card today is another quick one. I’m finding that when making my Christmas cards I seem to make most of them quick and easy. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Cane Bundle and the Sweetest Christmas Designer Series Paper for my card today.
I started by adhering a Sweetest Christmas DSP card front to a Garden Green card base.
On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Sweet Candy Cane Cling Stamp Set in Real Red Ink. I cut the sentiment out using the Candy Cane Dies. I threaded a piece of Garden Green 3/8″ ribbon from the Real Red & Garden Green Ribbon Combo Pack through the sentiment.
I wrapped the ribbon around a panel of Sweetest Christmas DSP and tide a bow. I adhered the panel of DSP to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Sweet Candy Cane stamp set in Garden Green Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the candy cane image from the Sweet Candy Cane stamp set in Real Red Ink on the bottom of the panel. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Real Red mat then to the inside of the Garden Green card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic Whtie Medium Envelope. I stamped the candy cane images from Sweet Candy Cane stamp set in Real Red Ink on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Sweetest Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.
