Good Sunday morning stamping friends. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. It was a very busy day yesterday at work. I was wiped out when I got home from work. I think the windy cold weather added to the exhaustion.
today I’m sharing some of the beautiful handmade cards that I received over the last couple weeks for my birthday. Thank you everyone for all the birthday wishes. I got to spend the morning of my birthday with my team members and friends on the retreat. Here are some to the cards I received.

To create this card: Adhere a panel of Regal Winter DSP to the front of a Pretty Peacock card base. Adhere a panel of Basic White card stock to the card front. Adhere a second panel of Basic White card stock to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Stamp the Happy Hibiscus flowers in Melon Mambo ink and the leaves in Garden Green Ink on Basic White card stock. Color the flowers with the Petal Pink and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends Markers. Color the leaves with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers. Cut the flowers and leaves with the coordinating Happy Hibiscus Dies. Cut leaves from Lost Lagoon card stock with Happy Hibiscus Dies and add some shading near the stem with a Sponge Dauber and Lost Lagoon ink. I used the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Seasons Bundle along with the Winter Meadow Designer Series Paper for my card today.
Adhere a panel of Winter Meadow DSP to a Blueberry Bushel mat using Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to a Garden Green card base using Liquid Glue.
Using the Peaceful Season Dies, cut the detailed sentiment from a panel of Blueberry Bushel. Adhere the negative panel of Blueberry Bushel to a panel of Basic White. Adhere the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a panel of Garden Green, stamp the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Peaceful Season Photopolymer Stamp Set in versamark Ink. Sprinkle the sentiment with White Embossing Powder and set it using the Heat Tool. Cut the sentiment out using the Peaceful Season Dies. Adhere the die cut sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few Drusy Adhesive-Backed Embellishments to the card front.
On a panel of Basic White, stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Season stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink. Adhere strips of Winter Meadow DSP to either side of the panel. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Blueberry Bushel mat and then to the inside of the Garden Green card base.
To finish the card, decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope. Stamp the sentiment from the Peaceful Season stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink on the envelope front. Adhere a panel of Winter Meadow DSP to the envelope flap.

Good Saturday morning stamping friends and welcome to the weekend. I hope you all have some plans in the works. I’ll be at work all day today, which is fine since it’s supposed to thunderstorm today. I’m not quite sure what the plans are for tomorrow yet. I’m taking a couple days off from my cards. Have you ever had crafters block, writers block etc? That’s where I am, and I just needed a couple days off. Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon. In the meantime, while I’m taking time away from card making, I’m cutting up DSP and Ribbon for my shares, taking walks for inspiration & just sorting through things. I seem to have ideas in my head and as soon as I go to write it down, it leaves. It gets to be very frustrating and I’m sure you’ve all been there.

The Stampin’ Glass Mat Studio is a paper crafters dream! The heavy-duty glass mat comes printed with a ruler and grid lines for easy measuring, while the large surface space gives ample room for spreading out while paper crafting. The safety-tempered glass has a heat and scratch resistant surface that wipes clean with the included cloth and water—no chemicals needed. The reusable cloth also cleans ink off your stamps! The nonslip, heat resistant, waterproof silicone mat features four palette squares for mixing custom ink colors or for holding small ink spots in place while crafting. Each component can be used separately, or you can use all three items together for a multipurpose paper crafting studio that’s both functional and elegant.

Emboss resist is a fun technique that’s really simple to do and it definitely creates a wow card!
To create this project: Stamp the Leaf Collection background image in VersaMark ink on a Thick Basic White card base. Sprinkle white embossing powder from the Basics Wow! Embossing Powders over the entire card front, shake off the excess and then heat emboss it. Use a Blending Brush to add color over the top of the image with Granny Apple Green ink (don’t forget to wipe away the extra ink with a paper towel!). Add shading around the leaves with a Garden Green Watercolor Pencil and softened the pencil coloring with a Blender Pen. Apply Adhesive sheets to the back of a panel of Garden Green card stock and cut a branch with one of the Friends For Life Dies. Adhere the die cut branch with the Adhesive Sheets to the card front. Stamp the sentiment from the Friends For Life stamp set in VersaMark ink on a strip of Garden Green card stock and then heat emboss it with white embossing powder. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere a panel of Basic White card stock to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Apply Adhesive Sheets to the back of Pool Party and Garden Green card stock panels and then die cut the “friend” sentiment from the panels with one of the Friends For Life Dies. Adhere the die cut words together and to the Basic White panel on the card front with the Adhesive Sheets. Adhere Pool Party dots from the Glossy Dots Assortment to finish the card front.
