Good Friday morning my stamping friends and welcome to my last Fun Fold Friday for 2022. Another year gone (and I won’t miss this one), and a new one starting on Sunday. Has anyone made plans yet for New Year’s Eve? I’m pretty sure we’ll be spending it at home. I’m not sure if we’re having company or not yet.
Today’s card is one that I haven’t done in a while, and I really like doing. Sorry I missed doing my live on Wednesday again. I’m usually out of work by noon on Wednesday’s and when 2pm came around and I was still there, I just knew there was no way I was going to be able to go live. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Adorable Owls Sale-a-bration Cling Stamp Set and the Dandy Design Sale-a-bration Designer Series Paper for my card today. Both items will be available starting January 5, FREE, with qualifying order.
I started by cutting my card base by putting the short edge of the cardstock on the bottom of the Paper Trimmer lined up at the 3″ mark on my Paper Trimmer. I placed the blade at the 3″ mark and cut to 3/4″. I turned the cardstock in the Paper Trimmer, so the long edge was on the bottom lined up at the 3″ mark. I cut from the cut line (which is at 2 1/2″) up to the 5″ mark. I carefully flipped the cut panel around and folded it down.
I cut a panel of Coastal Cabana cardstock by lining up the long-left side of the paper at the 3/4″ mark on my Paper Trimmer. I cut down 3″. I turned the cardstock so the long edge was on the bottom of the Paper Trimmer lined up at the 3″ mark and I cut down to cut the panel off. I cheated for the Dandy Design DSP since no one can see it. I lined up the DSP on the Coastal Cabana mat and using my pencil I drew a line where it needed to be cut and cut the panel off. I adhered the Dandy Design DSP to the Coastal Cabana mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue making sure there was equal mat around the 3 sides. I adhered the layered panel to the card front, under the cut panel, using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I used a couple Stampin’ Dimensionals to hold the flipped panel in place.
On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the flying owl image from the Adorable Owls stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image using my Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the sentiment from the Adorable Owls stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the corner of the panel. I adhered the artwork to a Coastal Cabana mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few of the new Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems, which will be available January 5, to the card front.
On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Adorable Owl stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I blocked off the bottom of the sentiment, so I just got the top portion using washi tape. I adhered a strip of the Dandy Design DSP to the bottom of the panel. I adhered the Basic Whtie panel to a Coastal Cabana mat then to the inside of the Pool Party card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the owl image from the Adorable Owls stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front and colored it the same as I did for the card. I adhered a panel of Dancy Design DSP to the envelope flap.

I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, and I’d love to have you join!! I’m placing my share order early on January 5 and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of January 9.
How shares work: I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list. I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!
