Good Thursday morning my stamping friends welcome to our Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop. If you are starting with me, thank you, I hope you will stop by everyone’s blog to see what they have created this week. If you are hopping over from Akiko’s blog, thank you for stopping by. This week we have Color Challenge. Here is my card using this week’s colors.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Circle Sayings Bundle along with the Bright & Beautiful 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Balloons Photopolymer Stamp Set and the Cheery Patterns Embossing Folder (available Sept 6) for my card today.
These are out colors for this week.
I played along with the Tic, Tasc Toe Challenge #222. I went right down the center using Patterned Paper and Birthday
I started by adhering a Bright & Beautiful DSP card front to a Blueberry Bushel card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered 2 more panels of Bright & Beautiful DSP to Blueberry Bushel mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panels to the card front using Multipurpose Liqiud Glue.
I embossed a panel of Pretty Peacock using the new Cheery Patterns Embossing Folder (available Sept 6th). I adhered the embossed panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a panel of Basic White, I stamped the circle sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Circle Sayings Photopolymer Stamp Set in Blueberry Bushel Ink. I stamped the cupcake image from the Circle Saying stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink in the center of the sentiment. I colored the image using Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. I cut the sentiment out using the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch. I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiments from the Beautiful Balloons stamp set in Blueberry Bushel Ink on a panel of Basic White. I adhered a strip of Bright & Beautiful DSP to the bottom of the panel. I stamped the cupcake image from the Circle Sayings stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the bottom of the panel. I colored the image using Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Bubble Bath mat then to the inside of the Blueberry Bushel card base.
To complete my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I adhered a strip of the Bright & Beautiful DSP to the envelope front and a panel to the envelope flap. I stamped the cupcake image from the Circle Sayings stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front. I colored the image using Azure Afternoon, Bubble Bath and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers.

Sales Tax Holiday Going On!!!
Thirteen states are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!
The states with upcoming tax holidays are: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia. So, if you live in one of those states, take a second to download the spreadsheet Click Here and mark your calendar! New Jersey is the last state for the Sales Tax Holiday starting on August 26th.
Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday). Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.
For those wondering about Georgia, Louisiana, Virginia, and Wisconsin, those states have suspended the sales tax holiday again this year.
