Good Wednesday morning stamping friends. I hope you are all having a wonderful week. we’re halfway through and on our way to the weekend already. Today is an extra exciting day for demonstrators. We get to preorder from the upcoming September-December 2023 Mini Catalog today and we can order those great catalogs for all our wonderful customers. I was up bright and early this morning placing my order, I did control myself just a little. I only ordered fall items to start LOL. I had a little help getting up this morning too. We live a block from a major road, which could be good and bad. The bad part is at 4am there were motorcycles racing up and down the highway and when you have your windows open (like I did last night) the noise is extra loud. So needless to say, I was on my computer as soon as we were able to order.

I played with a new set that I just received and it’s an Online Exclusive. The Online Exclusive products are only available Online, they are not in any of the catalogs. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive Trucking Along Photopolymer Stamp Set along with the Nested Essentials Dies and Glorious Gingham 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper for my card today.

I started by adhering a panel of Glorious Gingham DSP to a Basic White mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to a Real Red card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a panel of Basic White using the rounded rectangle from the Nested Essentials Dies. I cut a panel of Real Red using the largest banner from the Nested Essential Dies. On the Basic White die cut panel, I stamped the outline truck image from the Trucking Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped the solid truck image in Real Red Ink. I colored the tires on the truck using Basic Black and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the sentiment on the truck from the Trucking Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped the outline tree image in the truck from the Trucking Along stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink. I stamped the solid tree image in Shaded Spruce Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the outlined image. I stamped the road below the truck in Smoky Slate Ink and the clouds in Pool Party Ink.

I cut the banner in half using my Paper Snips. I adhered the top portion of the banner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. Making sure there was enough space, I adhered the bottom portion of the banner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the artwork over the space of the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a small knot using the Pecan Pie 1/2″ Bordered Ribbon and adhered it to the top of the banner using a Glue Dot. I added an Adhesive-Backed Sparkle Gem to the banner.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Trucking Along stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the truck image from the Trucking Along stamp set the same as I did for the card front. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Pecan Pie mat then to the inside of the Real Red card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the truck image from the Trucking Along stamp set the same as I did for the card front on the envelope front. I adhered a panel of Glorious Gingham DSP to the envelope flap.

Sales Tax Holiday Going On!!!

Thirteen states are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.  So, if you live in one of those states, take a second to download the spreadsheet Click Here and mark your calendar! Florida is still going on now. Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia start on Friday August 4th. Arkansas starts on Saturday August 5th.

I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the Stampin’ Up! September-December 2023 Mini Catalog and I’d love to have you join!!  I’m placing my share order early on September 6th and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of September 11th.

How my shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag with labels listing the Name, Item # and Colors in the pack and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs!
