Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Book Fold

Good Monday morning stamping friends and welcome to the last week of August. Can you believe August is just about over? It’s bittersweet for me, one part of me doesn’t want summer to end and the other can’t wait to wear cozy Sweaters & sweatshirts again.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Branching Out Photopolymer Stamp Set (available Sept 3rd) along with the Nests of Winter Designer Series Paper and Stylish Shapes Dies for my card today.

My design is from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #700

My colors are from Color Throwdown Challenge #839

Adhere the book fold card base together on the inside between the 4 1/4″ & 5 1/2″ score lines using Liquid Glue. Adhere a panel of Nests of Winter DSP to a Lost Lagoon mat with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to the left side of the Cherry Cobbler card base with Stampin’ Seal.

Using the Blending Brush, add Lost Lagoon Ink to the panel of Nests of Winter DSP. Cut the panel into 4 squares using the 3rd largest Stylish Shapes Dies. Cut a panel of Lost Lagoon using the 2nd largest square from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Adhere the 4 smaller die cut squares to the Cherry Cobbler card base. Cut a panel of Nests of Winter DSP and adhere it to the center of the Lost Lagoon die cut square. Adhere the layered square to the center of the 4 squares with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Tie a bow using the Gray Granite Baker’s Twine from the Baker’s Twine Essential Pack. Adhere the bow in the top right corner of the center layered square with a Glue dot. Stamp the sentiment from the Branching Out stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on a panel of Basic White. Fussy cut the sentiment with snips. Adhere the sentiment over the bow with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few Cherry Cobbler & Pearl Adhesive-Backed Berries to the branch in the bird’s beak.

Stamp the sentiment from the Branching Out stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the branch image from the Branching Out stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the bottom of the panel. Stamp the berry image from the Branching Out stamp set on the branch in Cherry Cobbler Ink. Adhere the Basic White panel to a lost Lagoon mat then to the inside of the Cherry Cobbler card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope for finish your card. Stamp the branch image from the Branching Out stamp set in Gray Granite Ink on the envelope front. Stamp the berry image from the Branching Out stamp set in Cherry Cobbler Ink on the branch. Adhere a panel of Nests of Winter DSP to the envelope flap,

I had so much fun putting this card together. I know I’ve said before how very much I love summer. It’s my favorite time of the year. There’s something about fall cards though that I absolutely love. Here’s my card for today.

Cut 12 of the smallest squares using the Stylish Shapes Dies from Basic Beige cardstock. On 4 of the squares stamp the apple image from the Choose Happy stamp set in Early Espresso Ink. Stamp the pumpkin image from the Choose Happy stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on 4 of the squares. Stamp the acorn image from the Gathering Moments stamp set in Early Espresso Ink on the last 4 squares. On 2 of the apples and 2 of the acorn images, stamp the smiley face from the Choose Happy stamp set in Early Espresso Ink. On 2 of the pumpkin images stamp the Jack-o-Lantern face from the Choose Happy stamp set in Early Espresso Ink. Adhere a small panel of Autumn Toile DSP to an Autumn Toile DSP card front with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to an Early Espresso mat with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to a Gray Granite card base with Stampin’ Seal.

Cut a panel of Autumn Toile DSP using the circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Cut 2 of the squares using the Stylish Shapes Dies from a panel of Gathering Together DSP. Using the Stylish Shapes Dies, cut 2 of the next size larger squares and the 2nd largest circle from a panel of Early Espresso. Punch the 2 3/8″ Circle Punch from a panel of Gray Granite. Adhere the die cut DSP square to the Gray Granite mats with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panels to the die cut Early Espresso with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the 2 layered squares to the card front with Liquid Glue.

Adhere the smaller die cut circle to the punched Gray Granite circle with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to the die cut Early Espresso circle with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. tie a double bow using the Early Espresso Linen Thread from the Early Espresso & Old Olive Linen Thread Pack (available Sept 3rd). Adhere the bow to the card front with a Glue Dot. Add a few Cajun Craze & Gold Dots (available Sept 3rd), to the card front.

Today’s card was made during our mystery stamping at our Tuesday night meeting. Jaimie sent us the measurements and talked us through assembling it. I decided to mix some new and old products together. Here’s my card for today.

Adhere the panel of Perennial Lavender DSP to the Crumb Cake card base. Adhere the smaller panel of Perennial Lavender DSP to the Basic White mat. Emboss the panel of Shaded Spruce using the Exposed Brick EF. Adhere the embossed panel to the Basic White mat.

Wrap a piece of Crumb Cake Baker’s Twine around the layered panel 2 times and tie a bow. Adhere the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. From a panel of Basic White, cut the largest and 4th largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies. Cut the 2nd smallest Spotlight on Nature Die from the panel of Shaded Spruce. On the small Basic White circle, stamp the sentiment from Simply Said stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink. Adhere the sentiment to the Shaded Spruce die cut circle.

On the large die cut circle, stamp the flower image from the Lovely Florals stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. Color the image with Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers. Adhere the large die cut circle to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere the sentiment to the card front, overlapping the large circle, with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Add a few Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems to the card front.

On a panel of Basic White, stamp the sentiment from the Label Me Grateful stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink. Stamp the floral image from the Lovely Florals stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the bottom of the panel. Color the image with Flirty Flamingo, Lemon Lolly and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends Markers. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Shaded Spruce mat then to the inside of the Crumb Cake card base.

Sales Tax Holiday

Twelve states and Puerto Rico are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia and West Virginia.  So if you live in one of those states or Puerto Rico, take a second to download the spreadsheet below and mark your calendar!

Good Saturday morning stamping friends and welcome to the weekend!!! It’s Flag Day in the US. Did you know that this day commemorates the date in 1777 when the United States approved the design for its first national flag? Be sure to be flying those flags high today. Whatever your plans for today or the weekend are, I hope you all have fun.

Today’s card is another one that we made at our quarterly team meeting last Sunday. We are all having so much fun creating with this Online Exclusive Suite. If you’re liking what you have seen lately, you might want to register for our Online Class at the end of this month, but today’s the last day to do that. Add Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush Inks to the Painted Stripes stamp set using Blending Brushes. Starting at the top with Darling Duckling, then Timid Tiger in the center and Strawberry Slush on the bottom. Stamp the image on a Basic White card front. Adhere the stamped panel to a Strawberry Slush card base with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere a panel of Celebratory Sips DSP to a Strawberry Slush mat with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a panel of Basic White, stamp the 2 glass images and the strawberry and citrus images from the Stampin’ Up! Cheers & Sips Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Ink. Using the Blending Brushes add Strawberry Slush Ink to the smaller glass and the strawberry images along with on the bottom of the tall glass image. Add Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling Inks with the Blending Brushes to the tall glass image and Timid Tiger to the citrus image. Cut all the images out with the Cheers & Sips Dies. Cut a slit in the citrus slice and adhere it to the tall glass with a Glue Dot. Adhere the strawberry to the small glass with a Glue Dot. Adhere the glasses to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Stamp the sentiment from the Cheers & Sips stamp set in Strawberry Slush Ink on a panel of Basic White. Cut the sentiment out using the Stylish Shapes Dies. Adhere the sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Seal. Add a Timid Tiger 2025-2027 In-Color Flat Pearl to the citrus slice. Add a few Holographic Resin Dots to the glasses.

Stamp the sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies stamp set in Strawberry Slush Ink on a panel of Basic White. Using the Blending Brushes, add Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger and Strawberry Slush Inks to the bottom of the panel. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Timid Tiger mat then to the inside of the Strawberry Slush card base.

Gently wipe over the image with a tissue to remove any ink from the embossing. Adhere the artwork to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I used the Online Exclusives Stampin’ Up! Impressions Abloom Bundle along with the Floral Impressions Designer Series Paper, Stampin’ Up! Year of Flowers Cling Stamp Set, Stylish Shapes Dies and 1 3/4″ Circle Punch for my card today.

Adhere the Pool Party card base together with Liquid Glue between the 4 1/4″ & 5 1/2″ score lines. Adhere the panels of Floral Impressions DSP to the Misty Moonlight mats with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panels to the Pool Party card base with Liquid Glue. Using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch cut a panel of Basic White. From the panel of Misty Moonlight cut the circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. On the Basic White circle, stamp the sentiment from Year of Flowers stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink. Adhere the sentiment to the Misty Moonlight mat with Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered sentiment to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch cut a panel of Basic White. From the panel of Misty Moonlight cut the circle using the Stylish Shapes Dies. On the Basic White circle, stamp the sentiment from Year of Flowers stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink. Adhere the sentiment to the Misty Moonlight mat with Stampin’ Seal. On the Basic White panel, stamp the small, detailed flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Impressions Abloom Photopolymer Stamp Set in Berry Burst and Misty Moonlight Inks multiple times. Stamp the small solid flower image from the Impressions Abloom stamp set in Berry Burst and Misty Moonlight Inks, stamping off 2 times on scrap paper, over the detailed images. Stamp the flower centers in Darling Duckling Ink. Using the Impressions Abloom Dies, cut the flowers, the leaves from a panel of Old Olive and the small flowers from a panel of Pool Party. Arrange the flowers partially around the sentiment with Glue Dots. Add a Two-Tone Sparkle Gem to the sentiment.

Cut a small notch on the top and bottom of the binder side of the card base using Paper Snips. Wrap a piece of Misty Moonlight 1/4″ Ribbon around the side and tie a bow.

Stamp the sentiment from Year of Flowers stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the small, detailed flower image from Impressions Abloom stamp set in Berry Burst Ink on either side of the sentiment. Stamp the small solid flower image from the Impressions Abloom stamp set in Berry Burst Ink, stamping off 2 times on scrap paper, over the detailed images. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Misty Moonlight mat then to the inside of the Pool Party card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope to finish your card. Stamp the small, detailed flower image from Impressions Abloom stamp set in Berry Burst and Misty Moonlight Inks on the envelope front. Stamp the small solid flower image from Impressions Abloom stamp set in Berry Burst and Misty Moonlight Inks, stamping off 2 times on scrap paper, over the detailed images. Stamp the flower centers in Darling Duckling Ink. Adhere a panel of Floral Impressions DSP to the envelope flap.

Tara Carpenter and I are teaming up to offer a fun online class using Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive Cheers & Sips Bundle.  We will be creating 6 different cards during the class including 2 fun folds.

The class fee includes:
