Good Sunday morning stamping friends. I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Today is the last day of the retreat. We enjoyed more good food yesterday, an eggs Benedict casserole for breakfast. We enjoyed cheese quesadillas, chicken & beef tacos and Mexican street corn for lunch and lasagna, broiled seasoned Brussels sprouts, cinnamon-maple butternut squash and honey siracha garlic cauliflower for dinner. We ended the meal with peach cobbler and vanilla ice cream. We’ll be packing up to leave this beautiful house after breakfast and saying goodbye until next year. Amy and I will be flying home later tonight.
Today’s card is one we made Tuesday night at our Stamping Studio meeting during mystery stamping. Jaimie sent us all the cardstock and DSP measurements and talked us through creating the cards. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Regal Flora Bundle along with the Online Exclusive Marbled Elegance Specialty Designer Series Paper, Textured Metallic Specialty Paper and Stampin’ Up! Online Exclusive Sweetly Scripted Cling Stamp Set for my card today.
Start by weaving the 6 strips of Marbled Elegance DSP like a basket weave. Adhere the weaved DSP to a panel of Basic White using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere the layered panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat using Stampin’ Seal. Adhere the layered panel to a Melon Mambo card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
On a panel of Basic White, stamp the triple floral image from the Stampin’ Up! Regal Flora Cling Stamp Set in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo Inks. Stamp the leaf images from the Regal Flora stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Inks. Cut the images out using the Regal Flora Dies. Using the Citrus Blooms Dies, cut the leaf dies from a panel of Textured Metallic Paper. Adhere the die cut flowers to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Adhere the leaves under the flowers using Glue Dots.
On a panel of Basic White, stamp the sentiment from the Regal Flora stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink. Cut the ends on an angle using Paper Snips. Tie a bow using the Gold Twisted Thread and adhere it to the card front using a Glue Dot. Adhere the sentiment over the bow, to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Glue Dots. Add a few Adhesive-Backed Heart Sequins to the card front.
Stamp the sentiment from the Sweetly Scripted stamp set in Melon Mambo Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the triple flower image from Regal Flora stamp set in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo Inks on the top and bottom of the panel. Stamp the leaf images from the Regal Flora stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Inks by the flower images. Adhere the Basic White Panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat then to the inside of the Melon Mambo card base.
Finish the card by decorating a Basic White Medium Envelope. Stamp the flower image from the Regal Flora stamp set on the envelope front in Flirty Flamingo and Melon Mambo Inks. Stamp the leaf images from the Regal Flora stamp set in Granny Apple Green and Old Olive Inks. Adhere a panel of Marbled Elegance DSP to the envelope flap.
