Good Tuesday morning stamping friends. I hope your week has started off great. Today is a special day in my house. 1 year ago, today we went to meet a puppy they called Talia for the first time. We named her Coraline and brought her home that day. It has been a year of training a puppy and her training us. She has more personality and sass in that little body of hers than you could ever image. She loves her toys as much as her treats and she is definitely mom’s sidekick, following me everywhere. When I come home, she jumps up to the top of my head (not kidding about how high she jumps) but she knows to sit if she wants me to acknowledge her. When we got her, she was 7lbs of short hair with a heart outline on her face and belly. She is now 25lbs of fluff and love.

Today I played with something new for my card. I received it in my preorder last week and couldn’t wait to play with it. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Hope You Know Cling Stamp Set along with the new Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks and Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder both coming in the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog, for my card today.

I played along with the As You See It Challenge #304 – Summertime & Livin’ is Easy. One of the things I love most about summer is the flowers, especially Sunflowers.

I also joined in with the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #575 – Add A Bow/Ribbon

I played along with Stencil Fun Challenge

I started with a Basic White card front and the new Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks (available Sept 6) specifically the group of 4 to make these sunflowers. With Mask #1 I used my Blending Brush with Lemon Lolly Ink. I then added some Moody Mauve Ink on the inside part of the petals with my Small Blending Brush. I placed down Mask #2, the leaves, and started with Parakeet Party Ink using my Blending Brush. I added some Granny Apple Green Ink with the Small Blending Brush around the edges. I placed down Mask #3, flower center and added Crumb Cake Ink with my Blending Brush. Finally, I place Mask #4 down, detailed flower center, and added Pecan Pie with my Small Blending Brush.

The inspiration for my colors came from this sunflower I saw at the Sunflower Maze we had gone to.

I embossed the Basic White panel using the new Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder (available Sept 6). I adhered the embossed panel to a Moody Mauve mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the layered panel to a Lemon Lolly card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a panel of Moody Mauve, I stamped the sentiment from the Hope You Know stamp set in Versamark Ink. I sprinkled it with my White Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I cut the sentiment out using the Cheerful Daisies Dies. I adhered a piece of Lemon Lolly ribbon from the 3/8″ Sheer Ribbon Combo Pack to the card front using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the sentiment over the ribbon using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few 2023-2025 In-Color Dots to the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Hope You Know stamp se5t in Moody Mauve Ink on a panel of Basic White. Using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, I colored 1 of the sunflower images on the bottom of the panel in the same order I did on the card front. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Moody Mauve mat then to the inside of the Lemon Lolly card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. Using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, I colored the sunflowers on the envelope front and flap in the same order as I did for the card front.

Sales Tax Holiday Going On!!!

Thirteen states are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.  So, if you live in one of those states, take a second to download the spreadsheet Click Here and mark your calendar! Texas starts on Friday August 11 and Massachusetts starts on Saturday August 12.

I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the Stampin’ Up! September-December 2023 Mini Catalog and I’d love to have you join!!  I’m placing my share order early on September 6th and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of September 11th.

How my shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag with labels listing the Name, Item # and Colors in the pack and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs!
