Sales Tax Holiday Going On!!!

Thirteen states are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.  So, if you live in one of those states, take a second to download the spreadsheet Click Here and mark your calendar! Florida is still going on now. Missouri, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina and West Virginia start on Friday August 4th. Arkansas starts on Saturday August 5th.

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday).  Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

What is a Paper Share you ask? It’s a sample of each of the new Designer Series Papers from the Stampin’ Up! I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the Stampin’ Up! September-December 2023 Mini Catalog and I’d love to have you join!!  I’m placing my share order early on September 6th and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of September 11th.

How my shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag with labels listing the Name, Item # and Colors in the pack and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs!

Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched CAS & September-December 2023 Mini Catalog Paper Shares Ordering Open

Good Monday morning stamping friends. How was everyone’s weekend? Yesterday was one of those perfect summer days with low humidity and only in the low 80’s. What a switch for what we were having here in NJ. When I saw it was only 65 in the morning, I quickly checked the humidity. It was so nice to be able to open every window in my house and just have ceiling fans on. A/C is nice, but I really like the fresh air.

I have a clean and simple card for you today. I just received a new stamp set as a little gift and couldn’t wait to ink it up. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched Cling Stamp Set along with the Online Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folder for my card today.

My design is from Freshly Made Sketches #596.

My colors are from Inspire. Create. Challenge #148.

I started by stamping the grape image from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the sentiment from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on the bottom of the panel.

I embossed the panel using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to the top of a Basic White met using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I wrapped a piece of Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon around the center of the layered panel.

I adhered the layered panel to a Basic White Thick card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the grape image from Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink, stamping off 4 times on scrap paper, over the sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Blackberry bliss mat then to the inside of the Basic White Thick card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the grape image from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on the envelope front and flap, stamping off once on scrap paper for each image.

Before I get started, I want to share something with everyone. 5 years ago, today I took that leap and finally signed up to be a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. I was back and forth for months with should I or shouldn’t I. I sat down and wrote the pros and cons and then called an old demonstrator of mine who had stopped selling because of time. She told me she only had pros with the company and loved it. So, I decided to take that jump and join. I signed up under my downline who happened to be on vacation at the time, I believe in Peru. I had only met her once since she lived 2 hours away. As most of us, I signed up for the discount and maybe make it a business. I think I was more excited about being able to go to OnStage since I had heard so much about it and how much fun everyone always had. Joining Stampin’ Up! 5 years ago, was the best decision I ever made. I love doing what I do; I get to purchase products early to play with before anyone else. I get to go to all the events. AND I get the discount on everything I purchase. I’ve had people say to me, it sounds too good to be true about joining. It is true, I have never been told I have to sell, do a blog, post on Facebook or do live videos. That has all been my choice. I knew getting into this I was going to be all online. I don’t really have friends or family to help me out. I don’t have anyone to have workshops to help me get customers nor do I have friends or family that buy from me. I started doing what I do because I love card making and paper crafting and the customers, I have gotten over the past 5 years are awesome. I have made so many friends through Stampin’ Up!, many that are virtual friends that I get to see once or twice a month on zoom. Getting to see them in person is an extra bonus. I’m celebrating me and my accomplishment today because I did it on my own and did more than I ever expected to do. If you’ve ever thought about joining, just take the leap. Good Saturday morning my stamping friends welcome the weekend and Happy New Year’s Eve. Does anyone have any plans for tonight? My husband invited a couple of his friends over, so that means, I’ll probably have some crafting time to myself. How shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs! Stampin’ Up! January-April 2023 Mini Catalog Paper Share & Updates

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. We’re halfway through the week and only 4 days left till Christmas. I didn’t have a card yesterday because I chose to make up my cookie platters to get them passed out to everyone before Christmas got here. No card today again since I finally got out shopping yesterday and finally got a chance to sit down and write out my Christmas cards. Nothing like waiting till the last minute.

I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the January-April 2023 Mini Catalog, and I’d love to have you join!!  I’m placing my share order early on January 5 and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of January 9.

How shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs!
