Stampin’ Up Humming Along

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How had your week started? Is anyone expecting snow today and tomorrow.  I think the storm is going to miss us again.

For today’s card I used the new Stampin’ Up Humming Along Stamp Set and some of the beautiful new Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper. Take a look.

I started with a Mossy Meadow card front and adhered a piece of Tranquil Textures Designer Series Paper to it using Snail.  I then took a strip of Petal Pink cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot using the Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  I adhered the Petal Pink strip on the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut a piece of the gorgeous Floral Romance Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a panel of Whisper White cardstock using a tiny bit of Snail just in the corners.  I did this because the piece I picked was Vellum and sometimes adhesive shows through it.  I then adhered the mounted DSP to a Mossy Meadow mat using Snail and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the Hibiscus image from the Stampin’ Up Humming Along Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the image in using my Mossy Meadow and Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I cut the hibiscus out using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies with my Big Shot.   I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a small bow made from the Silver and Petal Pink Bakers Twine and added it to the flower stem with a Glue Dot.  I adhered the card front to a Petal Pink card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the hibiscus image from the Humming Along stamp set in Petal Pink Ink, stamping off once, to a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set over the hibiscus in Fresh Fig Ink.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Mossy Meadow mat using Snail then adhered it to the Petal Pink card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the hibiscus from the Humming Along stamp set in Fresh Fig Ink on the envelope front.  I colored the hibiscus in the same way I did for the card front.  I adhered a piece of Tranquil Textures DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping.

Stampin’ Up Bright Wishes for Color Throwdown

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was your weekend?  Did anyone do anything interesting or fun?

For today’s card I used the Stampin’ Up Bright Wishes Stamp Set and I joined in with the Color Throwdown Color Challenge #527.

Be sure to stop by the Color Throwdown and see what everyone has made and to play along. Here are their colors.  I just love Navy Blue and Green together.

I started with a piece of Vellum cardstock and stamped the Well from the Bright Wishes stamp set in Versamark Ink.  I sprinkled it with my White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I colored the image in with my Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Old Olive, Smoky Slate and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I did the coloring on the back of the Vellum, not on the embossed side.  Using my Big Shot, I cut the image out with my Rectangle Stitched  Framelits Dies.  I also cut a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock the same size as the rectangle to adhere under the Vellum image.

I cut a rectangle frame out in Old Olive cardstock using the same size framelit that I cut the Vellum image.  I adhered the Vellum image to the Very Vanilla cardstock using small spots of Snail so that you wouldn’t see it.  I adhered the Very Vanilla artwork and the Old Olive frame to a Night of Navy card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I wrapped a piece of Old Olive Linen Thread around the card front.  I made a bow separately and adhered it to the card front on the Linen Thread with a Glue Dot.  I adhered the card front to a Thick Very Vanilla card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the Well from the Bright Wishes stamp set in Crumb Cake Ink, stamping off once, in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Night of Navy Ink over the Well.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to an Old Olive mat using Snail then adhered it to the inside of the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the Well image from the Bright Wishes stamp set on the front of the envelope and colored it in the same as I did for the card front.  It came out a little darker since I colored the card front on the backside of the Vellum.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping.

Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons Quick and Easy Card

Good Friday morning my stamping friends.  How was your week?  Are you ready for the weekend?  Have you made some fun plans?

For today’s card I joined in with 2 challenges.   The first one is What Will You Stamp Challenge #203.  This was a new one for me.  They give you a stamp set and you come up with something.  Be sure to stop by to see what everyone has made at What Will You Stamp and to play along.  Here is their challenge.

The other challenge I joined in with is Colour and Sketches #305.  Stop by to see what everyone has made at Colour and Sketches and to play along with them .. Here is their sketch.

I’ve made a very clean and simple card today for the 2 challenges.  I don’t usually do simple, but every once in a while I like to add one in.  Take a look.
I started by cutting 2 mats in Balmy Blue cardstock.  On the larger mat I adhered a piece of Subtles 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper in Balmy Blue using Snail.  I adhered the matted DSP to a Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Colorful Seasons stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink.  I adhered the stamped panel to the smaller Balmy Blue mat using Snail.  I then adhered it to the Night of Navy card base,  using Stampin’ Dimensionals, over lapping the matted DSP panel.

I cut one of the snowflakes from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies using my Big Shot out of a piece of Sparkle Glimmer Paper.  I adhered the snowflake to the over lapped matted panels using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the inside I stamped the larger snowflake from the Colorful Seasons stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink, stamping off once, across a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Night of Navy Ink over the snowflakes.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the smaller snowflake from the Colorful Seasons stamp set across the bottom front of the envelope.  I adhered a piece of the Subtles 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my quick and easy card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping.

Stampin’ Up Magical Mermaid

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers. We’ve made it over the half way point of the week.  Can you believe it’s the end of January already?  This is the quickest January has ever gone by for me.  Anyone making plans for the weekend?

For today’s card I was able to join in with 3 challenges.  The first is Fab Friday Sketch Challenge # 155.  Be sure to stop by Fab Friday and see all the amazing projects and to play along.  Here is their sketch.

The next one I played along with is “Just Us Girls” Color Challenge #471.  Be sure to stop by “Just Us Girls” to play along and see all the beautiful projects made.  Here are their colors.

The last one I played along with is TGIF Inspiration Challenge # 195.  You want to be sure to stop by TGIF to see how everyone was inspired and to play along with them. Here is their Inspiration.

Here is what I came up with for all 3 challenges.  Take a look.

I started with a Balmy Blue card front and stamped the sand/shells in Sahara Sand Ink and the bubbles In Balmy Blue Ink from the Stampin’ Up Magical Mermaid stamp set on it.  I then took a panel of Soft Sea Foam and stamped the seaweed multiple times, using my Stamparatus, across it.  I colored some of the seaweed in with my Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Write Marker.  I then ran it through my Big Shot using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  Using Multipurpose Liquid Glue I adhered the Soft Sea Foam panel to the card front.

On a piece of Shimmery White cardstock I stamped the mermaid from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I colored the mermaid in using my Light Calypso Coral, Light Highland Heather, Ivory, Light Mint Macaron, Light Pool Party and Light Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends Markers.  The Shimmery White paper gave the mermaid a really pretty shimmer after it was colored.  I fussy cut the mermaid and  adhered her to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Shimmery White cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink.  Using my Triple Banner Punch I made it into a banner and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the card front to a Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On the inside I stamped the sand/shells from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Sahara Sand Ink on the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the seaweed from the same stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink on both sides of the panel.  I stamped the mermaid silhouette in Highland Heather Ink stamping off twice to get a light image.  I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp set in Balmy Blue Ink over the mermaid silhouette.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the inside of the Balmy Blue card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the mermaid from the Magical Mermaid stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the envelope front.  I colored her in the same as I did for the card.  I stamped the mermaid silhouette on the envelope flap in Highland Heather Ink stamping off twice then stamped the bubbles in Balmy Blue Ink.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card today and will give it a try.  This is a great birthday card for a little girl.  Happy Stamping.

I used the Stampin’ Up Hello Cupcake stamp set.  It’s one of the FREE products from Sale-A-Bration with a $50 order.  I started with a Pineapple Punch card front.  Using my Stamparatus I stamped the Sprinkled with Love sentiment from the Hello Cupcake in Pineapple Punch Ink.  I adhered the card front to a Lovely Lipstick mat using Snail.

Stampin’ Up One For All Around The Corner

Good Friday morning my fellow stampers.  Have you all had a good week?  Any fun plans for the weekend?  I’m hoping to spend some time at my craft table.  I’ve seen a lot of great challenges that I’d like to try.

For today’s card I have a very quick and easy card even though there are many layers.  This is one of the cards we made at my workshop.  I had different levels of stampers and they all did a fabulous job.  Take a look.

I started with a Tranquil Tide card front and adhered a panel of Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper to it using Snail.  I wrapped a piece of 3/8″ Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon around the bottom section of the card front.  I then adhered the card front to a Mint Macaron card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  If you really like the Tranquil Tide, now is the time to grab it.  It will be going away in June, so it would be best to get it now before it hits the retiring list.  It’s such a beautiful rich teal color.  I’m surely going to miss it.

Using my Stamparatus, I stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment from the Stampin’ Up One For All stamp set in Tranquil Tide Ink.  By using the Stamparatus if the image wasn’t dark enough I was able to re-stamp it perfectly.  I then stamped the streamer and the birthday hat from the Stampin’ Up Around The Corner stamp set in Mint Macaron Ink.  I adhered the artwork to a Tranquil Tide Mat using Snail then adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I added a few Gold Metallic Pearls to the artwork to add a little bling.

For the inside I used my Tranquil Tide and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Write Markers to color just the sentiment part of one of the other images from the One For All stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment in the center of a Very Vanilla panel then adhered it to the Mint Macaron card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card, I adhered a piece of the Share What You Love Specialty DSP to a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope flap.  There you have it a very quick and easy card that looks like it took you hours to make.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping!!

Stampin’ Up Rooted In Nature Masculine Card

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers.  Is anyone making any fun plans for the weekend?  One more work day left in the week and then 2 off, for most.   I usually work on weekends, so I get 1 day off and I’m usually off Friday’s too.

For today’s card I made a masculine card using the Stampin’ Up Rooted In Nature bundle.

I’m one who always struggles with masculine cards, they are a challenge for me.  Since I did come up with one, I played along with Watercolor Wednesday Challenge #204.  Be sure to stop by and see what everyone had created.   Here is their challenge.

I started with a Sahara Sand card front and adhered a panel of Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper using Snail.  I then adhered it to a Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Using my Triple Banner Punch, I made a banner from a smaller piece of Sahara Sand cardstock.  I also cut a banner from another piece of the Nature’s Poem DSP and adhered it to the Sahara Sand banner using Snail.  I wrapped a piece of the Crumb Cake Nature’s Twine around the top and tied a bow.

I adhered the banner to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals lining it up with the DSP on the card front.  I cut a couple small and large leaves out using my Big Shot and the Nature’s Roots Framelits Dies in Tranquil Tide cardstock.  I adhered them to the top of the banner by the bow using Snail and Stampin’ Dimensionals.  On a small piece of Sahara Sand cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Tranquil Tide Ink.  I cut the sentiment out using my Big Shot and the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies Circle.  I adhered the sentiment to the banner using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside on a Very Vanilla panel I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Enjoy Life Photopolymer stamp set in Tranquil Tide Ink.  I stamped the Happy Birthday from the Stampin’ Up Hand Delivered Host stamp set below in Tranquil Tide Ink.  I stamped the larger leaf from Rooted In Nature stamp set, stamping off 3 times, over the sentiment.  I then adhered the Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card, I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the leaf from Rooted In Nature stamp set in Tranquil Tide Ink, stamping off once, on the envelope front.  I adhered a piece of the Nature’s Poem DSP to the envelope flap.

By purchasing the Rooted In Nature Bundle did you know you can save 10%.  The bundle includes the Stampin’ Up Rooted In Nature Stamp Set and the Natures Roots Framelits Dies.  I don’t know about you, but I’m all about saving money.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping.

Stampin’ Up Lemon Zest

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  How is your week going?

For today’s card I used another one of my favorites, Stampin’ Up Lemon Zest stamp set.  I did the masking technique for my card today.  Take a look.

I started with a Lemon Lime Twist card front and adhered a strip of the Gingham Gala 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper on the bottom portion.  I wrapped a piece of Lemon Lime Twist 1/4″ Organdy Ribbon (free Sale-A-Bration item with $50 purchase) around the bottom and tied a knot.  I adhered the card front to a Basic Black mat using Snail.

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the cut fruit pieces from the Stampin’ Up Lemon Zest stamp set in Grapefruit Grove, Lemon Lime Twist, Mango Melody and Pineapple Punch.   I cut all the images out using the Layering Circles Framelits Dies that matched up with the image size.  I adhered the 4 slices to a Whisper White cardstock using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I stamped the whole lemon image on a piece of Whisper White cardstock in Pineapple Punch Ink and the leaf image in Lemon Lime Twist, stamping them both off once. I punched the lemon and leaves out using the Lemon Builder Punch.  I stamped the sentiment from the Lemon Zest stamp set in the center of the lemon in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I adhered the leaves to the back of the lemon using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  Using Stampin’ Dimensionals I adhered the lemon to the center of the sliced images.  I adhered the artwork to the top portion of the Lemon Lime Twist card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then adhered the card front to a Grapefruit Grove card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

The inside of the card is where I used the masking technique.  I stamped the 1st fruit slice from the Lemon Zest stamp set in Pineapple Punch Ink in the top left corner.  I covered the image with a cut out Post-It note and stamped the Grapefruit Grove and Lemon Lime Twist images.  I then covered the Lemon Lime Twist image and stamped the Mango Melody image.  I stamped the sentiments from the same stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of the Whisper White panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Basic Black mat using Snail then to the Grapefruit Grove card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the front of the envelope with the Lemon Zest stamp set using the masking technique.  I adhered a piece of Gingham Gala 6 X 6 DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for checking out my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  The masking technique is a very easy and fun technique.  Happy stamping.

Stampin’ Up Dandelion Wishes Humming Along

Good Thursday morning my fellow stampers.  We’re almost through the week.  After having 2 short weeks this one feels extra long to me.  I really think we should have 3 day work weeks and 4 day weekends all the time.

For today’s card I pulled out another set from the Annual Catalog called Dandelion Wishes.  Take a look

I started with  Thick Very Vanilla card base and adhered a panel of Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper to the front using Snail.  I took a small piece of Very Vanilla cardstock and stamped the triple dandelion image and the flying dandelion pieces image from the Stampin’ Up Dandelion Wishes stamp set in Pacific Point Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with Clear Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.

I adhered the artwork to a Pacific Point panel using Snail.  I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up Humming Along stamp set in Versamark Ink below the artwork.  I sprinkled it with my White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.  I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla 5/8″ Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon around the artwork and tied a bow.

I adhered the artwork to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I then added a couple Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the dandelion image from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set in Soft Sea Foam Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the sentiment with the Stampin’ Up Seasoned With Kindness stamp set over the dandelion image in Pacific Point Ink.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Pacific Point mat using Snail then to the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the dandelion image from Dandelion Wishes stamp set on the envelope front.  I adhered a piece of Garden Impressions DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you like my quick and easy card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping.
