Good Monday morning stamping friends. How was everyone’s weekend? Yesterday was one of those perfect summer days with low humidity and only in the low 80’s. What a switch for what we were having here in NJ. When I saw it was only 65 in the morning, I quickly checked the humidity. It was so nice to be able to open every window in my house and just have ceiling fans on. A/C is nice, but I really like the fresh air.
I have a clean and simple card for you today. I just received a new stamp set as a little gift and couldn’t wait to ink it up. Here’s my card for today.
I used the Stampin’ Up! Softly Sketched Cling Stamp Set along with the Online Exclusives Basics 3D Embossing Folder for my card today.
My design is from Freshly Made Sketches #596.
My colors are from Inspire. Create. Challenge #148.
I started by stamping the grape image from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the sentiment from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on the bottom of the panel.
I embossed the panel using the Basics 3D Embossing Folder. I adhered the embossed panel to the top of a Basic White met using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I wrapped a piece of Lost Lagoon 1/4″ Bordered Ribbon around the center of the layered panel.
I adhered the layered panel to a Basic White Thick card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Solid Gems to the card front.
On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the grape image from Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink, stamping off 4 times on scrap paper, over the sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Blackberry bliss mat then to the inside of the Basic White Thick card base.
To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the grape image from the Softly Sketched stamp set in Blackberry Bliss Ink on the envelope front and flap, stamping off once on scrap paper for each image.
