Good Friday morning my stamping friends welcome to my Fun Fold Friday. 14 years ago today we brought home my little fur baby Jasmine. She was so small, loved to be held and would curl up in my lap. She’s much bigger now and can’t do that, but she still loves to lay her head on my lap. She has brought us so much joy over the past 14 years, I can’t imagine not having her around. She has been the most loyal companion I’ve ever had, sticking by my side if I’m inside making cards, blogging or outside gardening. She was my Mother’s Day gift 14 years ago. Happy Gotch Day Jasmine.

Are you ready for the weekend? I hope you are making some fun plans. I’ll be working Sunday this weekend. Yes, I have to work on Mother’s Day. I make up the schedule for all the cashiers a month in advance. For some reason I thought next Sunday was Mother’s Day. It’s ok though, I’m working with a friend of mine and we always have a lot of fun together.
Today’s card I made on my Facebook Live video on Wednesday. If you were able to join me or watched the replay, thank you. If you’d like to watch my video and stamp along, the measurements are below along with the links to my Facebook page and my YouTube channel. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Sun Prints Suite Collection for my card today.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Nature’s Prints Cling Stamp Set in VersaMark Ink on a panel of Night of Navy cardstock. I immediately sprinkled it with my White Embossing Powder from the Basic Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I cut the sentiment out using the Natural Prints Dies. On a panel of Basic White cardstock, I stamped the wheat grass image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Sahara Sand Ink. I cut the images out using my Natural Prints Dies. Using my Natural Prints Dies, I cut 4 of the larger sprigs from a panel of Sahara Sand cardstock and 2 of the small sprigs from a panel of Pacific Point cardstock.

Here is my template of how to score and fold the card base. I suggest not using Basic White Thick cardstock like I did. It’s harder to fold on the score lines properly. When I tried this on regular cardstock, all my score lines folded perfectly. I scored and folded my Basic White Thick cardstock as listed in the above photo.

For the front Sun Prints DSP panel, I measured down from the top right 1 7/8″. I cut from the 1 7/8″ mark to the top left corner using my Paper Trimmer. I adhered the panels to the front of the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the back Sun Prints DSP panel, I measured up from the bottom left 1 7/8″. I cut from the 1 7/8″ mark to the bottom right corner using my Paper Trimmer. I adhered the panels to the card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. For the center Basic White panel, I measured down from the top left 1 7/8″ and made a small mark. I measured up from the bottom right 1 7/8″ and made a little mark. I stamped the sentiment from the Nature’s Prints stamp set below where I would be cutting the panel in Pacific Point Ink. I stamped the floral images from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Pacific Point Ink, stamping off twice on scrap paper, on the top and bottom of the panel. I stamped the wheat grass image from the Nature’s Print stamp set in Saraha Sand Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, on the side and bottom of the panel. I cut from the pencil marks on the Basic White panel to the opposite corners using my Paper Trimmer. I adhered the 3 pieces of Basic White cardstock to the inside of the Basic Whtie Thick card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

For the belly band, I embossed the strip of Basic White cardstock using the Fern 3E Embossing Folder. To do this, I put the strip in the folder on an angle and ran it through my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. I loosely wrapped the belly band around the card base and adhered it using Tear & Tape. I arranged the die cut pieces the way I wanted them and adhered them together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the sentiment over the top of the small collage using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the collage to the belly band, over the seam where I adhered it together, using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the sentiment panel.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the floral image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Pacific Point Ink, stamping off twice on scrap paper, on the envelope front. I stamped the wheat grass image from the Nature’s Prints stamp set in Sahara Sand Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, next to the floral image. I adhered a panel of the Sun Prints DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. The items used for today’s card will be available May 3rd. I hope you will CASE this card and please feel free to post it in the comments of my Facebook page under my post. I’d love to see your take on the card. The list of measurements are below if you’d like to stamp along while watching the video. You can watch my video on my Facebook page Here.

Karen:
Jasmine is a DOLL. I know your fears all too well. We had to put our beloved baby, Patsy, to sleep on Tuesday at age 15yrs9mos…. had her since age 4 months. Give your girl a big hug from me. The absence of our beloved baby is going to take a verrrrry long time to adjust to. She’s been our constant companion as we both work from home, too. We’ve both had pets all our lives, and we still have 1 dog and 1 cat, but Patsy was our once-in-a-lifetime best pet of all. They’re family.

Thank you Amy, you’re so sweet. I’m so sorry to hear about your Patsy, I know that feeling but you have a lot of good memories and I’m sure pictures of her. Time will heal, but it will be a long time. I’ll give Jamine a hug from you.
