Stampin’ Up! Season of Fun for The Card Concepts

Good Wednesday morning my stamping friends. We’re halfway through the week and on our way to the weekend. I’m supposed to be starting and finishing my baking this weekend. As most of you know, it’s been a pretty long 3-4 weeks of me being sick. I’m hoping to feel up to getting my baking done or I may have a lot of disappointed people that wait for my cookies.

It’s time for another inspiration challenge for The Card Concepts. The inspiration photo is Christmas Tree, Decorations of Favorite Card.  I decided to use my favorite card that I’ve made this past year. My card is one that I made back in October at our team Mystery Stamping. My upline Jaimie started doing a Mystery Stamping night once a month with our team. She gives us the measurements of cardstock and DSP. We have to pick the colors, image(s), sentiment and DSP we want to use. This was one of my favorite Christmas cards that I made so I decided to share it again. I just love all the images of this stamp set, but especially this one.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Season’s of Fun Host Cling Stamp Set along with the Tidings of Christmas Designer Series Paper for my Clean and Layered card.

I hope you will take a moment to visit The Card Concepts and join us for our Challenge HOL21. How are you inspired by this photo? Share your tree, holiday decorations or your favorite card from this past year.

I started by embossing a Soft Succulent card front using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder. This is a small embossing folder, so I had to emboss one side of the cardstock, then move the paper over and emboss the other side. I adhered a panel of the Tidings of Christmas DSP to the center of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped the girl and dog images from the Season’s of Fun stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the images in using my Basic Black, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Daffodil Delight, Evening Evergreen, Ivory, Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink, Soft Succulent and Soft Suede Stampin’ Blends Markers. I fussy cut the images using my Paper Snips. I adhered another panel of the Tidings of Christmas DSP to a Basic White mat using Stampin’ Seal. I adhered the layered panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I adhered the fussy cut images to the bottom of the layered panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. In the layout that Jaimie was telling us to do, we were suppose to adhered the image to the top of the layered panel, mine just wasn’t going to work that way so I had to switch it around.

I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Snowflake Wishes Photopolymer Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen Ink on the Basic White panel and fussy cut it using my Paper Snips. I adhered the sentiment to the top of the layered panel using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tied a small bow using the Evening Evergreen 3/8″ Open Weave Ribbon and adhered it toe the card front using a Glue Dot. I added a few Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Merry Snowflakes Cling Stamp Set in Evening Evergreen Ink on a Basic White panel. I stamped the girl and dog images from the Season’s of Fun stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the bottom of the panel and colored the images in the same as I did for the card front. I stamped the snowflake image from the Season’s of Fun stamp set in Misty Moonlight Ink around the girl and dog images, stamping off once. I adhered the Basic White panel to an Evening Evergreen mat and then to the inside of the Soft Succulent card base.

To complete my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the little girl and dog images from the Season’s of Fun stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front and colored them in the same as I did for the card. I adhered a panel of the Tidings of Christmas DSP to the envelope flap.
