Good Monday morning stamping friends, welcome to a new week and the LAST week of October. Not quite sure how that happened. How was your weekend? I had to work all day yesterday since I had off on Saturday for the leader’s event.

For today’s card I thought I’d play with the metallic paper and make a traditional color Christmas card. I’ve had the paper for a bit and couldn’t decide what to do with it. I used the Stampin’ Up! Pretty Poinsettia Bundle, Timeless Metallic Specialty Designer Series Paper, Wood Grain Wonders Designer Series Paper, Festive Cheer Dies and Words for the Season Dies for my card today.

Adhere a panel of Wood Grain Wonders DSP to a Shaded Spruce card base. From the panel of Red Timeless Metallic DSP, cut the 4 poinsettia flowers using the Pretty Poinsettia Dies and the sentiment using the Words for the Season Dies. From the panel of Gold Timeless Metallic DSP, cut the large leaf using the Pretty Poinsettia Dies. Cut 4 pine boughs from the panel of Shaded Spruce using the Festive Cheer Dies.

Adhere the sentiment to the bottom of the card front so you know placement for your poinsettia and pine boughs. Adhere the 4-poinsettia flower die cuts together to make the flower. Adhere the poinsettia flower with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the card front. Snip a couple of the pine boughs, using Detail Scissors, to make them a little shorter and adhere them under the poinsettia.

Snip the Gold Metallic die cut leaf using Details Scissors and adhere it under the poinsettia flower with Glue Dots. Add 3 Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels to the center of the flower and a few more around on the card front.

Stamp the sentiment from Pretty Poinsettia stamp set in Real Red Ink on a panel of Basic White. Stamp the poinsettia image from Pretty Poinsettia stamp set in Real Red Ink on the top of the panel. Stamp the small leaf image from Pretty Poinsettia stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink around the flower. Adhere the Basic White panel to a Real Red mat then to the inside of the Shaded Spruce card base.

Decorate a Basic White Medium Envelope to finish your card. Stamp the poinsettia image from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set in Real Red Ink on the envelope front. Stamp the leaf image from the Pretty Poinsettia stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink around the flower. Adhere a panel of Wood Grain Wonders DSP to the envelope flap.
