Good Friday morning stamping friends and welcome to my Fun Fold Friday. I hope you are ready for the weekend. I’ll be working tomorrow, and Sunday I’ll be attending our monthly team meeting which I always look forward to.

Today’s card I made on YouTube Live on Wednesday. If you were able to join me or watched the replay, thank you. If you’d like to watch my video and stamp along, the measurements are below along with the link to my YouTube channel. Here is my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! All About Autumn Suite Collection for my card today. This suite will be available starting Sept 6th from the September-December 2023 Mini Catalog. I think this is one of the most beautiful suites from the new catalog and I hope you have this on your shopping/wish list.

I started by scoring the 2 card bases as stated below. The 2 – 1 1/2″ score lines get folded as mountain folds and the other score lines get folded as valley folds. Keeping the two 1 1/2″ sections on the outside, fold the 4 5/8″ scored sections so the flaps are on top. Adhere the 3 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ panel to the 2 flaps. (This part was hard to explain, you might want to watch the video for this). Adhered panels of All About Autumn 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to coordinating Pretty Peacock mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I adhered the layered panels to the coordinating sections of the card bases using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, all except the center section.

Using the Autumn Leaves Dies, I cut 2 of the maple leaves from panels of Cajun Craze and Pretty cardstock, I cut the oak leaf from a panel of Moody Mauve cardstock and the double elm leaf from a panel of Old Olive cardstock. I embossed all the leaves using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. I cut the maple leaf veins from panels of Oxide Copper Specialty Designer Series Paper using the Autumn Leaves Dies. I cut the oak and elm leaf veins from panels of All About Autumn DSP using the Autumn Leaves Dies. I adhered the veins to the leaves.

I tied a bow around a piece of the Natural 1″ Ribbon using the 1/4″ Metallic Copper Ribbon, both from the Copper & Natural Ribbon Combo Pack. I frayed both ends of the ribbon by pulling on a loose string. I adhered the ribbon to the card front panel using Stampin’ Seal. I arranged the leaves how I wanted them and adhered them using Stampin’ Dimensionals and Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I trimmed any excess frayed ribbon. I adhered the card front to the Moody Mauve card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Autumn Leaves Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versamark Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla. I sprinkled it with Copper Embossing Powder and set it using the Heat Tool. I cut the sentiment out using the Autumn Leaves Dies. I adhered the sentiment using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Adhesive-Backed Speckled Dots to the card front.

On the back, I stamped the elm leaf vein image from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Old Olive Ink between the 2 Very Vanilla back panels. I stamped the solid elm leaf image from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Old Olive Ink, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the vein image. I adhered 2 strips of All About Autumn DSP to the bottom of the panels. I adhered the Very Vanilla panels to Pretty Peacock mats then to the back section of the Moody Mauve card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Very Vanilla Medium Envelope. I stamped the maple leaf vein image from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze Inks on the envelope front. I stamped the maple leaf image from the Autumn Leaves stamp set in Pretty Peacock and Cajun Craze Inks, stamping off once on scrap paper, over the veins. I adhered a panel of All About Autumn DSP to the envelope flap.

Sales Tax Holiday Going On!!!

Thirteen states are having Back-to-School Sales Tax Holidays this year and some Stampin’ Up! items qualify for the tax break in those states!

The states with upcoming tax holidays are:  Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and West Virginia.  So, if you live in one of those states, take a second to download the spreadsheet Click Here and mark your calendar! Texas starts today, Friday August 11 and Massachusetts starts on Saturday August 12.

Please note that you must place your order with Stampin’ Up! during the tax holiday period in your state in order to receive these items tax-free (which is midnight on the first day to midnight on the last day of the tax holiday).  Also, keep in mind that this is a state sales tax holiday; the state statute may not apply to county, city, and special jurisdiction taxes.

What is a Paper Share you ask? It’s a sample of each of the new Designer Series Papers from the Stampin’ Up! I’m offering a Designer Series Paper share from the Stampin’ Up! September-December 2023 Mini Catalog and I’d love to have you join!!  I’m placing my share order early on September 6th and I’m going to use the expedited shipping option so I should be able to have the shares cut, bundled and back out to you during the week of September 11th.

How my shares work:  I order full packs of all of the Designer Series Papers listed below, I cut them into 6″ x 6″ pieces (or 6″ x 12″ pieces for double shares) and give you one panel of each design from each pack on the list.  I pack up the paper in a cellophane bag with labels listing the Name, Item # and Colors in the pack and mail it back out to you just as quickly as I can!  Shares give you a good working sample of all of the papers so that you can decide which ones to order in full packs!
