Stampin’ Up! Nine Lives Happy Tails for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers.  Well, we’re all safe at home and ready for a vacation from our vacation.  It was a long flight having 3 of us sick.  I love going away, but I can’t wait to get home.  My furry four legged little girl really missed us.  She was wiggling so much I thought she was going to take off with the way her tail was going.  She spent her week home with one of my daughter’s friends getting spoiled, but it’s not the same as having mom home with her.

Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. It’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month and you know what that means, Blog Hop Day!! If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. If you’ve hopped over from Amy Koenders blog, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. The theme this month is “Love”. We can interpret this any way that we’d like.

For my card today I chose to use 2 of our animal stamp sets.  Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a panel of the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper to a Rococo Rose card front using Snail.  I adhered a small strip of the Merry Merlot Neutrals 6″ X 6″ Designer Series Paper to the top of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP using Snail.  I adhered the card front to a Rococo Rose card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the outlined dog image from the Stampin’ Up! Happy Tails Photopolymer Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Basic Gray cardstock panel.  I punched the dog out using the Dog Builder Punch.  I stamped the  outlined cat image from the Stampin’ Up! Nine Lives Photopolymer Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Crumb Cake cardstock.  I stamped the detail cat image from the Nine Lives stamp set in Soft Suede Ink over the outline image.  I punched the cat out using the Cat Punch.  I cut the stitched heart out of Rococo Rose cardstock using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  I cut the scalloped heart out of Merry Merlot cardstock using the Stitched Be Mine Dies.  I stamped the sentiment from the Nine Lives stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink on a Whisper White strip of cardstock.  I made the sentiment into a banner using the Banner Triple Punch.

I adhered the stitched heart to the center of the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the scalloped heart around the stitched heart using tiny dots of Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I snipped the cats tail off and adhered the cat to the heart using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the cats tail so that it hung down using a Glue Dot.  I adhered the dog slightly over the cat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the sentiment banner centered with the Neutrals DSP strip using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a Rococo Rose 2019-2021 In-Color Faceted Dot to the end of the banner.  I tied a small knot using the Rococo Rose 1/2″ Scalloped Edge Linen Ribbon and adhered it to the sentiment strip using a Glue Dot.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Meant To Be Cling Stamp Set in Merry Merlot Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the outlined cat image from the Nine Lives stamp set in Soft Suede Ink on the bottom left side of the panel.  I stamped the detailed cat image from the Nine Lives stamp set in Soft Suede Ink over the outlined image.  I colored the cat in using my Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the ‘meow!’ sentiment from the Nine Lives stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink by the cat image.  I stamped the outlined dog image from the Happy Tails stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on the bottom right of the panel.  I colored the dog in using my Basic Black Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I stamped the ‘ruff! ruff!’ sentiment from the Happy Tails stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink by the dog image.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Merry Merlot mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Rococo Rose card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the dog image from the Happy Tails stamp set and the cat image from the Nine Lives stamp set on the envelope front the same as I did for the inner liner of the card.  I adhered a panel of the Pressed Petals Specialty DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. • Thank you so much Shirley 😊 This was the first time I used the cat set. Please CASE away. My son actually started getting sick on Sat. and kept getting worse. I’m pushing through, like mom’s are supposed to.
