Good Tuesday morning stamping friends. How has everyone’s week started off? We were having bad thunderstorms all day yesterday. Just when I was getting ready to leave for work the sky opened up. I decided to wait a few minutes before leaving since I walk to work. Then again, I was packing up to come home from work and a loud crash of thunder and the sky opened up again. My office is in the middle of the store with no windows and an attic area above me and it sounded like the roof was going to cave in. As soon as the rain let up, I walked very quickly home but it was hours before the thunder and lightning stopped. My tomato plants looked like they were going to float away. It finally stopped raining for a little and I brought the puppy out for a quick walk since she was cooped up all day in the house. I heard thunder in the distance again, so we walked quickly to get home. Not quick enough though, the sky opened up on us and her and I looked like we just got out of a shower. You’d think with the way the weather was all day I’d think to put a raincoat on, but NO.

Today’s card was the first card we made for the Creativity Now workshop this weekend. I almost followed the directions exactly, then I decided I needed to tweak it a bit. I even used the colors they called for, and I’m not a huge red fan. Here’s my card for today.

I used the Stampin’ Up! Translucent Cling Stamp Set which will be available in the September – December 2023 Mini Catalog. I also used the Stampin’ Up! Phrases For All Photopolymer Stamp Set and Deckled Rectangle Dies for my card today.

I started by randomly stamping the large, medium and small flower images from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on a Poppy Parade card front. I adhered the card front to a Poppy parade card base using Stampin’ Seal.

On a panel of Basic White, I stamped the large and medium flower images from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink. I stamped the stem image from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Garden Green Ink on the flowers, flipping it over for each flower so the stem went different ways. I stamped the leaf image from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Garden Green Ink on the stem. I cut the image out using the 2nd largest Deckled Rectangle Dies. I adhered the panel to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Basic White, I stamped the sentiment from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink. I trimmed the sentiment on an angle using Paper Snips. I adhered the sentiment to the strip of Poppy Parade cardstock and trimmed the ends on the same angle using Paper Snips. I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Iridescent Rhinestone Basic Jewels to the card front.

On the inside, I stamped the sentiment from the Phrases For All stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on a panel of Basic White. I stamped the large flower image from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on the side of the panel. I stamped the stem and leaves in Garden Green Ink. I adhered the Basic Whtie panel to a Poppy parade mat then to the inside of the Poppy Parade card base.

To finish my card, I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the medium flower image from the Translucent Florals stamp set in Poppy Parade Ink on the envelope front and flap and the large flower on the envelope flap. I stamped the stem and leaves in Garden Green Ink.
