Stampin’ Up Well Written Mosaic Mood Birthday Card

Good Monday morning my fellow stampers.  How was everyone’s weekend?  Did anyone do anything fun?  I spent both days at work, UGH!!  I don’t mind the end of the month work during the winter, but summertime is tough to be inside.

For today’s card I didn’t do any stamping at all on the card front.  My upline has been doing daily challenges with us and yesterday’s was to make a card using our least favorite color.  I am NOT a fan of yellows, most specifically Crushed Curry.  It’s fine for fall leaves, but that is all in my books.  I was actually surprised at how pleased I was with how my card came out using the Crushed Curry.  Here’s my card I came up with.

My design was inspired by Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #394.  Here is their sketch.

I started with a panel of the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper and adhered it to a Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Glue.  I adhered a smaller panel of the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP to a Soft Suede Mat using Snail and adhered it to the card front using Stampn’ Dimensionals.

I cut the Happy Birthday out of a piece of Copper Foil paper using the Well Written Dies and adhered it to the matted strip on the card front using my Fine Tip Glue Pen.

From yet another piece of the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP I fussy cut one of the Crushed Curry humming birds using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the humming bird to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I did do a little stamping.  I stamped the sentiments from the Stampin’ Up Itty Bitty Birthdays Clings Stamp Set in Soft Suede Ink on a panel of Very Vanilla cardstock.  I stamped the strip on the bottom of the Very Vanilla panel from the Stampin’ Up Woven Heirlooms Cling Stamp Set in Crushed Curry Ink stamping off once.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to the inside of the Soft Suede card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card off I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I adhered a thin strip of the Mosaic Mood Specialty DSP to the front of the envelope and a panel to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try.  Happy Stamping!!
