Stampin’ Up Sitting Pretty Christmas Card

Good Friday morning my stamping friends.  Have you had a productive week?  Any fun plans for the weekend? Whatever you do, have fun and make the best of it.

One of my amazing Up-lines sent me a new bundle yesterday.  It’s the Stampin’ Up Sitting Pretty Bundle.  As soon as I got it I had to make a card with it and had a Christmas card in mind that I wanted to create.  Take a look.

I started with a card front of Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  I knew I wanted to stamp a Christmas tree on the side, but after going through all my stamp set I didn’t have even one set with a Christmas tree.  I had to compromise and use the pine tree from Lovely As A Tree stamp set, so I stamped it in Shaded Spruce Ink on the right side of the DSP.  I know, it’s not quite a Christmas tree, almost a Charlie Brown tree, but I made the best of it.  I added some Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels to make it look like it had lights.  I adhered the card front to a Shaded Spruce mat using Snail.

On a piece of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the bench from the Sitting Pretty stamp set in Versamark Ink.  I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it using my Heat Tool.  Using my Big Shot I cut out the bench from the Pretty Park Framelits Dies.  I stamped the dog from the Sitting Pretty stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Crumb Cake Ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I cut the dog out using my Big Shot and the Pretty Park Framelits Dies.  I adhered the dog to the embossed bench using Stampin’ Dimensionals then adhered the bench to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I cut the bow on the dog out from the Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies in Real Red cardstock and adhered it to the dog using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I stamped the presents from the Alpine Adventures stamp set in Balmy Blue, Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Old Olive and Real Red Inks.  I cut 2 of the presents out using the Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies with my Big Shot and the other 3 presents I fussy cut using my Paper Snips.  I adhered the presents using Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Glue Dots and Stampin’ Dimensionals under the tree.  I stamped the Christmas Greetings sentiment from the Alpine Adventures stamp set in Versamark Ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Emboss Powder and heat set it with my Heat Tool.  I made it into a banner using my Banner Triple Punch and edged it using my Merry Merlot Stampin’ Write Marker.  I wrapped a small piece of Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon on the top left corner.  I adhered the banner just under the ribbon using Snail.  I adhered the matted card front to a Merry Merlot card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the dog in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Crumb Cake Ink on the bottom of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the presents from Alpine Adventures stamp set in Cherry Cobbler, Garden Green, Old Olive and Real Red Inks next to the dog.  I stamped the sentiment from Snowflake Sentiments stamp set in Merry Merlot Ink in the center of the panel.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to the Merry Merlot card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the pine tree from Lovely As A Tree stamp set in Shaded Spruce Ink on the front right of the envelope and the dog from the Sitting Pretty stamp set on left side using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and Crumb Cake Ink.  I adhered a piece of Festive Farmhouse DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you enjoyed my card.  I know I used a lot more products then I usually do, but I couldn’t find everything I wanted to use in 1 or 2 sets.

There are a few things I used in my card today that are being retired.  The Alpine Adventures Stamp Set, Alpine Sports Thinlits Dies, Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper and Merry Merlot & Copper 5/8″ Reversible Ribbon.  If you like and of these products I’d grab them while you can.  Things are going fast.

Hope you all have a great weekend!  Happy Stamping!
