I’ll Be Back Tomorrow, Baking Away

Good Tuesday morning my stamping friends. Sorry I haven’t posted, but I’ve been a little busy baking away the past few days. Here’s how I started Thursday morning.

Everything always starts nice and neat. I have all my recipe cards and books ready to go along with all the ingredients. Thursday, I spend mixing away. The only ones I bake on Thursday are my bar cookies that have multiple steps.

Because of being sick and having to drop my daughter off and pick her up, I had a couple batches to mix on Friday. Then it was time to start baking. I have the lineup of cookies waiting to go into the oven.

All cookies go in starting with the lowest temp and I work my way up.

I have all the containers labeled with the cookie name and the oven temp.

I have stacks of cooling racks that I put the cookies on before going into bowls.

As the cookies cool, I have them up high wherever I can find room. This is in hopes that my family won’t see them and start eating them right away lol.

Pignoli cookies has become everyone’s favorite, and I’ve had to make a double batch of them the past couple years and there’s no skimping on the pine nuts in my house.

All the cookies get put on my table and counter for me to start making cookie trays. As I make the trays, I count to make sure everyone is getting all the varieties. The trays are my gift to friends and family. A lot of love and hard steady work goes into making all these cookies, but it is well worth it when everyone is enjoying them. This started as a tradition years ago when I was young with my mother. My daughter tries to help as much as possible, but school and work seem to get in the way, so a lot of it I do on my own.

Only 3 bar cookies this year. The one on the far right is a key lime bar, yum. Good thing it was cold enough outside so that I was able to put all the trays in my card and ready to deliver Tuesday morning.

I’ll be back tomorrow with a card and if my asthma behaves, I’ll be back to doing my Facebook live tomorrow afternoon.

Update to Stampin’ Up!’s Backorder Policy Beginning December 1st

Stampin’ Up! provided us with the following update related to their backorder policy:

As you may have heard reported in the news, unprecedented shipping and logistics issues have resulted in a global supply chain crisis. This is affecting businesses world-wide and Stampin’ Up! is no exception. Due to extreme difficulties caused by these issues, starting 1 December 2021, Stampin’ Up! will no longer take orders for products that are not in stock.

In other words, Stampin’ Up! will no longer accept backorders. This change will help to reduce frustrations from unpredictable product availability and allow you to order products that will be delivered right away, rather than products that may not be delivered for months.

If you’d ever like to know if a product is available, please check the online store Here.

The online store is a great resource to browse products, determine availability, and place orders for in-stock items with me.

If you currently have items that you’ve ordered that are on backorder, those items will be shipped out to you once the stock as been replenished.  No need to do anything to ensure that your backordered items are delivered.

Let me know if you have any questions.  Hopefully the worldwide supply chain crisis will be resolved in the coming months and we can all get back to normal!
