Stampin’ Up! Hey Girlfriend for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers. Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. It’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month so that means Blog Hop Day!! If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. If you’ve hopped over from Amy Koenders’ blog, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. The theme this month is “Love”.  We can interpret this however we want.  I decided to do a birthday card using the Stampin’ Up! Hey Girlfriend Cling Stamp Set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog. Here’s my card.

I’m a Guest Designer for the month of January for the CAS Colours & Sketches. Here is their sketch #402 for this week.

I played along with the Always Fun Challenge #196. Their challenge is to use “Something New”. I used a new stamp set and new DSP

I started by adhering a panel of the Sale-A-Bration Oh So Ombre 6 X 6 Designer Series Paper to a Bermuda Bay card base using Stampin’ Seal.

On a strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! Posted For You Cling Stamp Set in Versamark Ink. I immediately sprinkled it with White Stampin’ Emboss Powder and set it using my Heat Tool. I stamped the flower image from the Stampin’ Up! Lovely You Cling Stamp Set in Rich Razzleberry Ink randomly on the strip of cardstock. I adhered the Rich Razzleberry panel to the card front using Stampin’ Seal.

On a panel of Basic White cardstock I stamped one of the girl images from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink. I colored the image in using my Bronze/Ivory, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers. I fussy cut the image out using my Paper Snips and adhered it to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals. I added a few Artistry Blooms Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Lovey You stamp set in Rich Razzleberry Ink in the center of a Basic White panel. I stamped the flower image from the Lovely You stamp set in Rich Razzleberry Ink in the corners of the panel, some full strength and some stamped off once. I stamped the leafy image from the Lovey You stamp set in Bermuda Bay Ink on either side of the sentiment. I adhered the Basic White panel to a Rich Razzleberry mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Bermuda Bay card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To complete my card I decorated a Basic White Medium Envelope. I stamped the girl image from the Hey Girlfriend stamp set in Tuxedo Black Ink on the envelope front and colored her in using my Bronze/Ivory, Pool Party and Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends Markers. I stamped the flower image from the Lovey You stamp set in Rich Razzleberry Ink on the envelope front and the leafy image from the Lovey You stamp set in Bermuda Bay Ink around the girl. I adhered a panel of the Oh So Ombre DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting by my blog today, I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. 1. Karen this sassy little chick looks great with the ombre paper and bold border and the inside sentiment suits that image perfectly – it would be a great card to send to a female relative for sure. A great card!

  2. Very nice card! Those are colors that I don’t think I would have thought to put together, but they are really pretty together. Love all the stamping and coloring you have done to create this card, and great job on the envelope! Beautiful.

  3. I adore the colors you chose. That girlfriend image is darling and the textures are fabulous! Thanks again for hanging with us here at CC&S.
