Stampin’ Up! Slice of Happiness

Good Tuesday morning my stamping friends.  How has everyone’s week started off? Hope everyone is having a productive one.  I’m hoping the weather holds out and I can take a trip down the shore this week.  Where we go, we have to buy tickets in advance now with everything going on. Tickets go on sale at 7am and last week my niece and nephew tried to go and they were sold out before 7:10.  They are really limiting how many people can go on the beach, so fingers crossed that no one wants to go Thursday.

I have one more card for you today using the adorable Stampin’ Up! Cute Fruit Photopolymer Stamp Set from the beginner catalog and it’s a super simple one.  If you are new at stamping, this catalog is perfect for you.  It all starts with simple stamping, I just kind of added a little extra.  Here’s my card for you.

My colors were from TGIF Challenge #271.  Here are their colors.

I started by cutting 6 of the smallest square from the Stitched Shapes Dies out of Whisper White cardstock and 6 out of In Good Taste Designer Series Paper.  I adhered the squares to a Granny Apple Green card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the card front to a Flirty Flamingo mat using Stampin’ Seal.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the citrus fruit images from the Cute Fruit stamp set.  I stamped the outer lime image in Granny Apple Green and the inner lime image in Granny Apple Green stamped off once.  I stamped the outer orange image in Mango Melody Ink and the inner orange image in Mango Melody Ink stamped off once.  I stamped the outer grapefruit image in Mango Melody Ink stamped off once and the inner grapefruit image in Flirty Flamingo Ink stamped off once.  I stamped the smiley face image from the Cute Fruit stamp set on the limes in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.

I adhered all the fruit images to the stitched white squares using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I stamped the sentiment from the Cute Fruit stamp set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink on a Mango Melody panel.  I cut the panel out using my Stitched Rectangle Dies.  There wasn’t one that fit perfectly so I had to make my own.  I did this by cutting part way through with the 2nd smallest Stitched Rectangle Die.  I moved the rectangle and made sure that the stitches were lined up, turned it around and ran it through my die cutting machine part way through again.  I adhered the sentiment to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I tied a multi looped bow with Linen Thread and adhered it to the sentiment using a Glue Dot.  I adhered the matted card front to a Basic Black card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Rhinestones Basic Jewels to the fruit with out faces and the sentiment.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment form the Stampin’ Up! Many Mates Cling Stamp Set in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the citrus fruit image from the Cute Fruit stamp set around the sentiment in Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody Inks.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Flirty Flamingo mat using Stampin’ Seal and then to the inside of the Basic Black card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the citrus fruit image from the Cute Fruit stamp set on the bottom of the envelope front in Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Mango Melody Ink.  I stamped the face image from the Cute Fruit on the fruit in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I adhered a panel of In Good Taste DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for stopping by my blog today.  I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Happy Stamping!!
