Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature for Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop

Good Tuesday morning my fellow stampers. Welcome to Amy’s Inkin’ Krew Team Blog Hop. It’s the 2nd Tuesday of the month so that means Blog Hop Day!! If you are starting with me, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. If you’ve hopped over from Mary Deatherage’s blog, welcome to my blog and thank you for stopping by. The theme this month is “For The Boys/Men”. We can interpret this any way that we’d like.  I made a Father’s Day Card for you.  Here’s my card.

I started by adhering a panel of the Country Club Designer Series Paper to a Garden Green Mat using Snail.  I embossed a Whisper White strip of cardstock using the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card front using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I wrapped a Garden Green and Night of Navy piece of Twine  from the Country Club Twine Combo Pack around the card front and tied a knot.

On a panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the tall tree image from the Stampin’ Up! Rooted In Nature Cling Stamp Set which I colored using my Garden Green and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers.  I cut the image out using the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut the next size oval out from the Layering Ovals Dies from Garden Green cardstock. I adhered the artwork to the Garden Green mat using Snail and then to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a small panel of Whisper White cardstock I stamped the leaf image from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Garden Green Ink, stamping off twice.  I stamped the sentiment from the Rooted In Nature stamp set in Garden Green Ink over the leaf image.  I cut the sentiment out using the smallest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I cut the next size larger circle from the Layering Circles Dies from Garden Green cardstock.  I adhered the sentiment to the Garden Green mat using Snail and then to the card front, overlapping the artwork using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the card front to a Night of Navy card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I added a few Silver Metallic Pearls to the card front.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! A Wish For Everything Cling Stamp Set in Night of Navy Ink in the center of a Whisper White panel.  I stamped the tall tree image from the Rooted In Nature stamp set on the left side of the panel, which I colored using my Garden Green and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers.  I adhered the Whisper White panel to a Garden Green mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Night of Navy card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Whisper White Envelope.  I stamped the tall tree image from the Rooted In Nature stamp set which I colored using my Garden Green and Soft Suede Stampin’ Write Markers, on the front of the envelope.  I adhered a panel of the Country Club DSP to the envelope flap.

Thank you for visiting by my blog today. I hope you liked my card and will give it a try. Now that you’ve seen my card, be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. 1. Now, that is just weird! I love this card. The plaid and the trees just go so well together. As much as I love the Rooted in Nature set, sometimes I forget to use it. Guess that comes from having too many stamp sets! 🙂 However, I can’t make myself get rid of them.
Tastefully done, and some Dad will be very happy to receive this card.

  2. I love this DSP and wish I had brought some with me. I also wish I had ordered the twine. You made great use of everything…neat design.

  3. Karen, I like the color combo on this eye-catching card. The tree looks awesome. I’ll have to remember this set when making a male card.
