Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars for Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop

Good Thursday morning and Happy Thanksgiving my fellow stampers.  Welcome to the Happy Inkin’ Thursday Blog Hop.  By the time you read this I will have my turkey on the grill (yes we barbeque our turkey) and will be doing the 2nd step of my homemade pumpkin crescent rolls (a lot of rising with them) and the Macy’s Day Parade will be on in the background.  The Christmas season doesn’t officially start in my house until Santa arrives in the parade.  Cranberry sauce made , stuffing made √, pies made √, sweet potatoes prepared and ready to go in the oven √.  Things are moving along in a timely matter and we will have a nice family dinner with my nieces and nephews over.   Unfortunately we are missing a lot of our family members that have passed on, but I am SO thankful for the family that I have.  I could never imagine not having them in my life.

If you are hopping over from Akiko, thank you for taking the time to stop by. This week we had a Color Challenge. Be sure to hop around to see everyone’s beautiful projects. Here’s my card using our colors.

Here are our colors for this week.

I played along with the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge #249.

I also joined in with the Always Fun Challenge #138.  There theme is ‘Anything Goes’.

I started by cutting a scalloped circle in the center of a Night of Navy card front using the largest scallop from the Layering Circles Dies.  I embossed the Night of Navy panel using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder.  I adhered the embossed panel to a Copper Foil mat using Multipurpose Liquid Glue then I adhered it to a Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I cut the 2nd from the largest star out of Very Vanilla cardstock using the Stitched Stars Dies.  I cut a small detailed star and the flourish pieces out of Copper Foil Sheets using the Stitched Stars Dies.  To make the star look 3D I scored from each point to the opposite indent using my Paper Trimmer score blade.  I then folded on each of the score lines and that made it pop up.  I adhered the small copper star in the center of the Very Vanilla star using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the star to the center of a Night of Navy circle, which I cut using the largest circle from the Stitched Shapes Dies, using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  I adhered the copper flourish pieces using Multipurpose Liquid Glue at every indent of the star onto the Night of Navy circle.  I adhered the layered circle in the center of the scallop circle on the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On a strip of Very Vanilla cardstock I stamped the sentiment from the Stampin’ Up! So Many Stars Photopolymer Stamp Set in Versamark Ink.  I immediately sprinkled it with Copper Stampin’ Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I made the strip into a banner and adhered it to a Copper Foil banner using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.  I adhered the banner to the card front using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

On the inside I stamped the sentiment from the So Many Stars stamp set in Night of Navy Ink in the center of a Very Vanilla panel.  I stamped the cluster of stars image from the So Many Stars stamp set in Night of Navy Ink, stamping off once, on either side of the sentiment and on the bottom corners of the panel.  I added a couple of the stars cut out of Copper Foil from the Stitched Stars Dies on either side of the sentiment.  I adhered the Very Vanilla panel to a Night of Navy mat using Snail and then to the inside of the Thick Very Vanilla card base using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

To finish my card I decorated a Medium Very Vanilla Envelope.  I stamped the small cluster of stars image from the So Many Stars stamp set in Night of Navy Ink on the bottom of the envelope front.  I stamped a larger cluster of stars image from the So Many Stars stamp set in Night of Navy Ink all over the envelope flap.
